Since I do not use this I've decided to sell as well as some of her other items(time permitting) I'm not sure exact dates but estimate this is mid century vintage. It's done in a very soft red leather over the case and is the folding travel alarm clock. On dial the clocks maker Name is"JUNGHAMS" and at bottom edge of dial under 6 reads"MADE IN GERMANY" The clock folds and collapses fine and the latch opens and closes fine. Even has the original plastic covering on the top and bottom insides that protect the original fabric. It's all original and no repairs or restorations. I've wound the clock up and it keeps perfect time. I did notice the arm for setting the alarm does have about a 1/2 hour or so delay from the time it is set and when actual time alarm goes off but you can adjust the alarm dial to fix or just set alarm the 1/2 hour or so difference earlier than what time you want it to go off. Imagine it should be easy for a clock person to adjust the setting to syncronize the time alarm goes off with the actual alarm setting. Very good condition and no major damages. This is a windup Seiko world time travel alarm clock that was made in the 1960s. It is running and seems to keep failry good time. It lost 2 minutes in 24 hours. It may just need to be regulated. It has a wheel on the side that rotates the inner part of the dial to adjust for different parts of the world. The alarm works. I'm not sure how you use the hour markers for 24 hours, but you can turn it upside down and still use the clock. Up for action is a rare example of an Angelus travel alarm clock with it's case. The clock looks and works great. Even the case looks new. I have used it to make sure it is in perfect shape mechanically. Now it's story: This was given to me as a gift from my Father-In-Law. He knows I like clocks. My Father-In-Law is a 94 year old GP Doctor. He just retired two years ago. What a guy! During World War II he served in the US Army as a Medical Doctor in Oxford. England. He and my Mother-In-Law shipped a house full of fine European antiques back to their house in NJ. You can't believe some of the pieces they collected. Amazing! This is a RARE beautiful antique pocket size travel alarm clock. A beautiful mid to late 1800's period piece. Made in France in there gorgeous Art Nouveau design. The clock dial is a gorgeous enamel white with black painted sections around the outside. Bright green thick Guilloche enameling over carved spiral decoration with gold painted numbers on them. A black painted inset seconds dial& gold painted flowers around the dial as well. The case is a magnificent piece of art as well. The body of the case is solid brass even the backside of the brass is engraved with design. The front has a cover of black bronze or iron. With stunning art nouveau style Silver overlay of flowers and stems with gold overlay tall scrolled leaves. With a gold and silver overlay of overlapping intials in the center top of JS. Which took a while to figure out how to do it safely. There were no visible markings on the movement. The backside of the clock is marked Depose Metal Dore 192064. The backside as you can see has a round loop which folds out partially. For sitting on a desk or night stand at an angle.Then there is a pull up brass loop for hanging either in a carriage or on a wall etc. It measures approx. 2-3/4" by 3-1/4" See condition below.
