Here for auction is as exquisite an antique clock as you will find. This is a gorgeous Seth Thomas Beehive Clock that was made for Jas R. Armiger of Baltimore. The clock has a 48R movement probably made in Germany at the Turn of the Century. The case is absolutey beautiful with wonderful inlay and genuine purfling. I believe the included key and pendulum are original. As far as I can tell the clock is completely original and in extremely fine working condition. The glass face is the most special piece of heavy beveled glass or crystal. The clock stands approximately 10 2/3" tall. The coil gong has the most warm sound. C. 1820, double weight, chiming bell movement made by Eli Terry for Seth Thomas, Plymouth, C.T. with painted wood dial, beautiful stencil eagle on top, reverse painted fruit basket at bottom door. Height 34 in. width 17 1/2 in. depth 4 1/4 in. Does not work but all parts are there with weights and key. There is a hairline crack in frame corner, see picture 7, and small side top molding missing, see picture 8. These do not detract from beauty of clock, it displays very nicely.

Offering a beautiful antique Seth Thomas Arch Top mantle clock. This circa 1880 spring driven clock strikes a gong for the hour. This lovely clock has a walnut case with burled walnut on front panel. Lower portion and rim around dial. The burl in lower section has some roughness. There is some minor chips to the veneer on lower front edge. This is barely noticeable. There is a chip in the lower right corner and inside corner(see photo. The original Seth Thomas movement has been cleaned. Adjusted and lubricated with synthetic clock lubricant. This movement is in very good operating condition. The original Seth Thomas Roman numeral dial is in very good condition. There is some paint loss near the holding screws and the winding arbors. The hands appear to be newer replacements. This clock has a locking latch on the side to lock the front door. ... moreThis is locked with winding key. 1890's~SETH THOMAS~ANTIQUE GINGERBREAD OAK MANTLE CLOCK w/CHIMES, KEY & PENDULUM
This auction is for an antique Gingerbread style oak mantel clock. I believe from the 1890's, marked on the face: SETH THOMAS- MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA- marked on the interior label: MANUFACTURED BY THE SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. THOMASTON, CONN. Please see pictures for the label on the back. This classic old clock is still in very good condition overall in my opinion. The clock spring will wind up fine and it will run for 3 to 4 hours before stopping and then a little nudge on the pendulum will start it back up. The chimes will sound when the arms are manually moved around but they do not chime when the clock is running on its own. The chime spring is wound tight and seems stuck. I am fairly certain this clock only needs a little Clean, Lube and Adjustment for full function. There is a little splinter missing on the oak ... moreveneer on the lower right wing and otherwise the clock cabinet is also in very good condition. The label on the back is a little chipped in the middle area and some little pieces seem glued back on. This rare old clock measures 22 1/2" tall, 15" wide and it weighs approx. 6 lbs. 14 oz. with the key and pendulum. No rules. Simply pay and I mail promptly. Seth Thomas Eclipse Walnut Victorian Mantle Clock W/Alarm - Outstanding!!
This came from the same country estate as the other mantle clocks that I have listed. It was working in the kitchen and it has been working well at my house for the past week. The chimes sound nicely but i do not know how to set the alarrm which is all there. It also has the original instruction label inside. Both the fancy glass front and all the nicely designed wood are in exceptional condition. I have never had a nicer original clock than this in the past 40 years that I have been doing this. It is about 24 in. from top to bottom and 15 in. wide at the bottom. The pendulum is also one of the best that I have seen. If you want a nice clock. This is it.

Antique 19th Century Victorian Seth Thomas Inlaid Ebony Wood Mantle Chime Clock
Up for auction is an excellent antique 19th century Seth Thomas mantle clock. Solid ebony wood with an intricate inlay pattern which looks like maple or possibly metal with subtle gold flecks. Gold ormolu bronze feet. Finial, and border ornaments. Chimes on the hour and half hour. Comes with a key. Clock is in very good condition with some minor surface wear, some discoloration to the front bottom. Missing the pendulum, but clock seems to be working just fine. It is ticking and chiming, but it has not been fully tested. It is an estate purchase and has not been serviced. Please see photos carefully for details. This is very rare as usually this type of finish is all cracked with pieces missing. Circa approx 1916. It measures about 12-1/2" by about 11-1/2" by about 5-1/2" I am not sure but the works and pendulum may have been replaced. The works in the clock are marked; Made in S America The Housing and the face are definately Seth Thomas This clock is working and functional. Chimes are good as well. It measures 11-1/2 inches tall. 7-1/4 inches wide, and is 4-1/2 inches deep. The face is white porcelain with black arabic numerals, framed in brass. The face has some small hairlines and flaking near the chime silencer, but is otherwise in good is in condition. It also has four round brass pad feet and a brass framed crystal. The crystal is beveled and domed and like the fact, is also in excellent condition. The darkened, slightly gatored finish is original. I do not know if this works because I do not have the key or the pendulum. I do not collect clocks, ... morenor am I an expert in antique clocks. Please note- this clock needs a little work- I will describe the issue below. This antique Seth Thomas Adamantine clock has the pendulum and key. Everything appears original. But I am not a clock expert- we have taken lots of pictures for you to evaluate. Please note- there is a small chip/hole in the finish on the top of the case and a little surface wear here and there. It does not currently run. But I don't think it is a major problem for someone who knows what they are doing. When the pendulum moves, the thin piece of wire does not make enough contact with the gear to make it index- if I"help it along' just a bit, the wire will make the gear move. In other words- I*think* the piece of wire that the pendulum hangs from needs tweaking. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantle Clock. This clock is in very good condition for its age- 1900-1910. Shows most of original label on lower backside with manufacturer's patent date of September 7 1880. The brass hinged glass front door lens measures 6" across and closes tightly. And the back door slips on and off and clips closed- not a hinged door. This clock ticks and work as it should- though once shipped you may adjust as needed, as well as oil and regulate. I'm not a clock professional was but told this is an 8 day clock- it strikes rings on the hour and half-hour and comes with a key and pendulum. The clock's housing cabinet is made of solid wood with thick black lacquer enamel flat-smooth finish with chased design with gold-leaf. The columns are a celluloid with Bakelite side panels and not cracked. The clock measures ... morea little more than 11" tall and just over 16" long and 7" wide. Weighs about 10 lbs. This condition of this old clock is good working condition but does show some aged areas with patina and porcelain enamel wear on face. A little refurbishing and this old mantle clock would display nice.
