Antique Sessions Mantel Clock This is a great example of a Sessions 8-day Mantle Clock. It was made circa 1908. It is in GREAT condition. The clock has all of its original parts. Movement, case, rear door, etc. The movement works great! It has a signed"Sessions Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement(see picture) which chimes on a bell once on the half-hour and on the hour it counts the hours with a very mellow tone on a cathedral gong. It has a solid mahogany wood case with colored inlayed wood design on the front faded by over 100 years, but still can be seen(see pictures) Its model name is the"Plymouth" The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The case is in very good condition. Very few blemishes at all. see picture) The mahogony case is made with a simple but beautiful classic design with a finish that has ... morea beautiful aged patina. All the screw holes in the back line up perfectly indicating all parts are original. Even the original back! The hands are also original! The cream tinted porcelain dial is signed Sessions and the original bezel is solid brass! The numbers and lettering are very crisp and not worn at all. Also. The dial is easy to read even from a distance. There are age hairline cracks in the porcelain that really looks antique. The original paper label is still on the inside of the back door. The back door is also original and fits nicely. The dial has a special place where you can set the time to slow and fast using the key– at the number 12(see picture) This way you don’t need to take the clock down off the mantle in order to make fine adjustments to the movement as to slow and fast. Complete with a Sessions pendulum(maybe original) and a double-ended key– one side to wind the clock and the other to adjust the speed. The clock measures 14 1/2 inches high and 9 ¾ inches wide and 6 inches deep. You can find more information about the long lasting. Vintage Sessions shelf mantel clock with Winchester Chime. The clock does keep time. But it does not chime. When it hits the 1/4 hour, it makes a click noise. Lovely estate find! This offering is for a ca. 1940's Sessions movement carnival clock with a western cowboy flair of saddled horse figure. Wagon wheels and twisted rope. These clocks were prizes or premiums at state fairs and carnivals in the 1940's- cashing in on the popular cowboy culture of Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry and Lone Ranger. The clock is constructed of cast white metal(magnet does not stick) in nice detail. The horse is saddled with complete western tack including a parade saddle with tapaderoes and a bridle with bead chain reins. The metal is finished in an overall goldtone wash or paint. The clock stands 9 1/2" inches high, is 17 1/2" inches long and is 5 inches wide. There are no cracks, breaks, or chips. The ear tips are intact. The clock does not work though it hums when plugged in like it ... morewants to. The convex glass clock lens is free of any cracks, chips, or breaks. Brass trim ring is in very good condition. The clock face has no issues. It is signed near the bottom of the face" Clock Movement by Sessions, Made in the USA. The back cover of the clock does have light finish wear from age and use. This is an antique Sessions mantel tambour clock. It measures 9.5" wide by 5" high. The dial is about 2.5" diameter. It is an 8-day windup clock(not electric) As can be seen it includes a second hand. The case is mahogany and has been cleaned and polished. Although not perfect the finish is very good with a pleasing lustre that makes the clock most attractive. The movement has been dismantled. Cleaned, pivots polished and reassembled. It has also been lightly oiled. Although the clock goes for a few days it does NOT keep good time. Running several minutes slow each day after being wound. The back plate cover is also missing as you can see from the photo. This does not affect its running but it means the movement is not as firmly fixed in the wood case as it would otherwise be. The dial is in excellent condition for its age. ... moreWith all the numbers and lettering in place as they should be. There is a little very light scratching near the numerals 2 and 3 but this is only visible on very close inspection. I have endeavoured to give an accurate and honest description of its condition. Together with photos that show its appearance. The clock needs work to make it work fully and accurately. An identical clock in full working order was recently on eBay for $198. It is an 8 day wind clock with a cathedral gong sounding the hour and a bell ringing each half hour. I have had this clock for about 15 years. It has been used off and on during that time. Up for auction is this gorgeous Antique Sessions Mantel Clock. Fresh from farm estate. It measures 11 1/4" tall. 13 3/4" wide 5 3/4" deep. Clock has a paper label on back that has been taped and reads, Eight Day, Half-Hour Strike, Cathedral Gong Turn Back. THE SESSIONS CLOCK CO. Has wonderful sound when the striker hits the bell. The key and pendulum are present. The face shows some wear and the glass is cracked. There was a card taped inside, Skilled watch repairing on finest watches Charles Spry Gifts that Last Hinckley, Minn. It appears to be in working condition, at least it keep good time while writing this ad. I'm sure it would benefit having a restorer/ or clock person going over it. See photos for best description. Cool Antique Sessions Mantel Clock with Works for Parts/Repair! Nice! From the estate of a clockmaker. This is for parts. Project or repair. The art on the glass door has an Asian look and the Clock case itself looks a bit like a pagoda. The clock is in decent antique condition, and includes a Sessions movement, but is not presently in working condition but a restorer could probably get this up and running with some effort. The Clock case is in antique condition with a fair amount of nicks, dings, and blemishes as expected with age! The clock face is stained and soiled and also has some paint loss. Includes both ornate pendulum and key. Clock needs a good cleaning. Great Project! Very Cool! Needs TLC. See photos- what you see is what you get! ANTIQUE SESSIONS No 1 Wind Mantel Clock Decorated Wood Rope& IVY WORKS& Key This is a great looking antique clock. It works great! It is 22 1/2" tall x 15" widest x 3 3/4" deep. The base is 4 5/8" deep. The wood is in good condition. There is wear along the edges and a few minor marks. Very nice detail. The label is coming off. Glass was a little dusty, I cleaned it. The wood is 3/8" thick.
