Offered for your consideration is this Antique Ansonia Clock Co. regulator wall clock. This is an large clock measuring approximately 25" long x 17" wide x 5" deep. It features some very stunning natural swirls all around the Dark Rosewood cabinetry. This clock is a 2 glass affair with the round dial door glass. And bottom black w/ gold imagery. This clock was produced in the 1920s. With its well-known synchronous motor this clock was the top of the line in its day and at the forefront of evolving clock technology. One thing that made it stand apart from other clocks was the indicator on the clock face that lets its owner know if the electrical was interrupted and the time needed to be reset. This clock has all that in its beautiful arts ... moreand crafts style oak case. This is the 16" version of this square clock in a well-crafted mitered case with a 11" dial. The second hand has a beautiful crescent shape on its end. And the other two hands seem to be original and in good shape. The motor reads Warren Telechron Co. Type B-2, NO 94086. The cord is frayed and exposed. The interior of the glass front needs to be cleaned. Clock face is in good shape. The oak is cracking at one seam but still a solid built. Glass. Up in this auction is a very decorative clock. Decorative wood inlays form Celtic Cross patterns which border the dial. Lower door and the base of the case form. This lighter wood contrast with the darker rosewood. The result is a clock that visually pops off the wall. The bezel has a beveled outer edge. This frames the spun brass bezel that is fitted with glass. The glass protects the paper dial. This dial is formatted with a standard time ring that features Roman hour numerals. The hands that indicate the time are decoratively formed. The center section is fitted with a door. This frames a tablet or glass that is paint decorated from the back. When you open this door, you find a very colorful label pasted onto the backboard. It reads, Superior/ 8 DAY CLOCK. With Extra Bushed Movement. Warranted if Well Used/ for HOME& ABROAD. This label is in mint condition. The body has a number of breaks and repairs around the wood bezel surrounding the face and some loss to the veneer at the very bottom of the body. This very interesting piece measures about 23" tall. 17" wide and 10" front to back. It weighs about 28 pounds! It shows wear as shown but has no major defects. The Made in Germany clock mechanism does not work and is missing two screw nuts and the winding knob on the back. It is being sold as found and as is! Please view my photos and ask any questions.
