NICE VERY RARE WORKING ANTIQUE BREVETE FRANCE DEPOSE KEY WIND CARRIAGE CLOCK!

Be sure to have a look at our other items! This is an outstanding find of a very rare. Working, depose brass metal carriage clock in the original carriage case. I've never seen another like it nor is it likely I ever will again. The clock was created in"France" about 120 years ago and signed on the back by"Brevete S.G.D.G. The clock has a brass metal case with the original red enamel finish and a large brass swivel carriage handle on the top for easy portage. There is a brass bezel surrounding the dial and a convex glass crystal is inset into it; no cracks or chips that I can see. The dial ... moreis unlike any I've seen featuring large, italicized, fancy bold numerals to mark the hours and matching black metal hands to point out the time. The familiar Brevete logo of a finely detailed lion appears on the upper dial and the phrase, Made in France" appears in small block letters near the bottom. There is a separate dial with one hand to allow for setting the working alarm. The back is copper, I think, and both old style original winding keys are intact along with both original setting knobs. There is a slow/fast adjustment on the back marked"R A" in case the clock speed should ever need to be adjusted. All markings on the back are embossed in French including"Reveil" for the working alarm feature. The clock is fitted with a key wind, mechanical movement that lasts for about a day or two on a single wind. It comes in the original green leather case that folds open to display it. The case has the original latch and both doors are intact and hinged. The original leather carriage strap is intact and attached to the case. The clock works quite well here and keeps good time too though being an old clock and we don't know the service history, so

We have up for sale a nice old German shelf clock. Has been running in our house. There is no glass on face. There is paint scuffs on case and looks like the little knob on top of case has been reglued. On back of case there is a label saying Teutonia Clock Manufactory. Under trademark shows Made in Baden. Under that is the word Warranted, then P.H.S, then it is numbered(can make out only 351) The P.H.S stands for Phillip Haas& Sohn. There is another label at the top on back of case saying(name) Jeweler and Silversmith established(unreadable) then Hemel Hemstead. There is small damage to the wood on case where this label is(as shown in pic) On the movement there is a mark with P.H.S with a rabbit above it. Comes with pendulum and key. The key is present but it cannot wind up the clock. It will need some work to get up and running. I'm unclear about the feature above the 6 on the clock face. It has not been sanded or refinished.There is a sticker on the back where I assume he had it serviced(I called the number but they are no longer in business) So I dont know when it was last serviced. I had misplaced the key and pendulum. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Clock Offering a lovely antique Seth Thomas adamantine mantle clock known as the"Tyro. This circa 1906 clock strikes a gong for the hour and a delightful cup bell for the half-hour. This clock has six fancy green metal columns. These are supported by gold colored bases and capitals. This also has gold colored Lion heads and fancy feet. The metal parts appear to have been previously painted. And done very nicely. There is gold incised decoration on the front. This also has beautiful multi-colored adamantine trim in black, green and orange. The original Seth Thomas movement was completely disassembled. This was ultra-sonically cleaned. Adjusted and lubricated with synthetic clock lubricant. Six new bushing were installed where needed. This movement is in excellent running condition. This has the original ... moreSeth Thomas 4 1/2" Roman numeral dial. This has some discoloration and wear in some areas. The case is in very good condition with a few smudges in a few areas. Most of the original label is still on the rear. The coded date on the bottom side of clock indicates that it was manufactured in 1906. Clock measures about 10 3/4" high by 16" wide and 6 1/2" deep. Pendulum and dial, This clock has an above average gong tone, kinda soft and pleasant compared to some twangy gongs. S/N 434.849 is fairly early considering he made 2.25 million clocks(aprox year 1884- 1880 is S/N 260,000 and 1885 is S/N 500,000) This clock was cleaned and restrung a few yrs ago and all is still well, fully functional and in very good condition. I just reoiled now as I was trying to decide who to keep and who to let go, this one pains me to let go but I have to many The case is all tight,the bottom finial dowel is broken but there is enough to insert and for the clock to hold it so it stays in the case as I do not approve of gluing finials to the clock. This is an awesome little SHUTZ 1 weight Vienna Regulator. I would guess this is fairly early from the case style maybe 1875. The S/N is shown. It has been cleaned and restrung and is in good working order. The case is in very good condition aside from the base. It needs someone to find an appropriate base. I am sending the base as pictured with the clock, I took it off as it is only barley attached because it isn't a perfect match, it can be used as is or strip the base and try and match the color better or? The base is currently attached with 2 screws from the bottom but they do not break thru, there is no glue, and no visible scars to the clock have been made. Here you are looking at a great antique clock. It is a black marble escapement clock made by Ansonia. The clock looks like the front of an old Greek or Roman building with a column on either side. There is no key but I put the pendulum in and it has been running nicely so it works great! Condition is very good with minor wear from age. It measures 12 1/2 inches tall and is 14 inches by 5 3/4 inches at the base. The dial is unmarked and the movement is marked"Ansonia Clock Co USA New York" and"Patented June 13 1882" The clock strikes on the hour but the bell does not ring so it will need adjustment to run perfectly. This is a great find! This clock is in great shape! The case has been polished and sealed to give a great dark black look. This is an ansonia open escapement slate marble clock. The clock is very sensitive but will run great when positioned right. The chiming mechanism needs a little work but all the parts are included. It will chime continuously if it is wound. Great for any collection! This clock weighs about 25 lbs! This clock is 14.5" wide, 6.5" deep and 9.5" tall. There are a few chips but otherwise a great piece in great shape! Nice Antique Ithaca Double Dial Calendar Clock - Library No. 8 model - Runs
Offering a nice antique Ithaca double dial calendar clock in the"Library No. 8" model. This 8 day walnut cased clock strikes the hour on a gong. The lower calendar dial is original and the hand indicates the day of the month. The day of the week and the month are indicated in the two rectangular panels. The paper on these panels are darkened with age(see photos. The circular dial is original. The upper time dial appears to have been a replacement at one time. The calendar portion is functional. This may need to be adjusted upon reciept. The time movement has been cleaned and lubricated with synthetic clock lubricant. This functions very well. The upper finial appears to be a replacement. There is a corner missing on the upper side trim on the rear(see photo. Clock measures about 24 1/2" high by 12" wide and 4 1/4" ... moredeep. A key and pendulum bob is supplied for full operation. This clock is a very nice LENZKIRCH 2 weight Vienna Regulator. The clock case is clean, sound and stable. The pics- the clock is in a narrow hall, the flash reflection is bad in a few pics, Note- the finish is normal in other pics- the finish is the same and good all over. If clock wasn't packed I would retake pics. The movement has just been cleaned and restrung and is operating properly. A beautiful antique Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. gingerbread clock. This rare clock is named the'Cipanco' and is done in a wonderful. Carved Aesthetic Movement style, circa 1870s-1880s. This large gingerbread clock stands 20 inches tall by 13-1/2 inches wide. It is in very good antique condition. The beautiful wood case has no chips. No splits except for on the back panel, and has lovely finish with a rich, warm wood grain. The clock dial shows typical age and wear. With clear, easy to read markings. The decoration of the glass door has minor wear, but is very lovely. The door opens and closes nicely. And has a good working latch. The clock has its key. And winds nicely. The clock does work and keeps time, however it needs to be run and might stop when you first try it. I also don't know if the alarm feature works. The clock is in decent antique condition, but not presently in working condition but a restorer could probably get this up and running with some effort. The Clock case is in fair antique condition with a fair amount of nicks, dings, and blemishes and the case is worn in many places as expected with age! The door frame is missing a considerable amount of the molding and has only one piece remaining which is attached to the hinges. Therefore, the Crystal is loose and will need to be re-secured. The glass has a nice featured horse drawn carriage and a horseshoe painted in gold- the art has some paint loss but is very minor. The clock face is stained and soil and is also loose in the case. Missing ... moreboth pendulum and key. Looks like the top of the clock could be missing several ornaments but not sure as did not see it in its original state- Does have some nail holes which suggests that there may have been ornaments. Offering a beautiful antique Seth Thomas"Chime Clock No. 14" with five bells and is 14 inches high. This lovely circa 1911 clock chimes segments of the Westminster tune on the quarter-hour on Sonora patented resonated bells. On the hour. It plays the full tune and then strikes the hour on a single bell. This sound is really distinctive and beautiful. There is a switch on the side of the clock to turn the chime movement on or off. I can't imagine that anyone would want to shut it off. The case is in near mint condition. This has a combination of light mahogany and oak veneer. An early catalog describes this case as"Mahogany fine-figured pattern. Flemish oak and old oak. On the top rear edge. There is a small scratch(about 3/4" long. This is barely noticeable(see photo# 14. On the rear, there also a dab of paint. The ... moreoriginal Seth Thomas no. 89 movement and chime movement is all original and in excellent working order. The original key and pendulum bob are included for full operation. Clock has a 6" silvered dial covered by an attractive bezel with convex glass. This has three holes for winding arbors and a speed adjustment. The door closes securely. The dial has many scratches(see photos. This clock measures about 14 1/4" high by 10" wide and 7 1/2" deep. Antique, vintage crystal regulator clock, beveled glass, very nice.
Fresh out of an estate. I'll be listing several more old clocks. See my other listings. Offered here is what I think is called a Crystal Regulator clock. It stands 101/2" tall, 1/2" wide, and 5" deep. The case looks like it might have had a brass finish at one time. Now, it looks kind of brown and somewhat mottled. The glass is all nicely beveled. The clock itself has a 2 piece, what I think is Porcelain, face with roman numerals. There is a Trade mark, an A in a square, see pics. There is also a name on the lower edge of the face, but it's covered by the brass rim of the clock. I can make out what looks like"Manufactured by the AC? clock company, New York, United States of America" I'm sure that, and the A trademark will tell you clock people who made this. I don't have the proper key. The clock mechanism ... moredoes seem to work. If I swing the pendulum, it runs for several minutes, and as I'm writing this, it just struck.
