This Clock is made by Sessions and is marked Model"W" In back. The clock is Gorgeous! It features a 10"x 3" x 1" thick marble base and a 7" diameter(3/4" thick) marble disc around the clock works. There are 2 round ball marble pieces on both sides of the clock. The balls are about 1.5" in diameter. The white marble has some reddish brown streaks. The base has a felt backing to protect the surface of the mantle. The clock face is metal gray with gold tone numbers. Black hands, and a red sweep second hand. The clock housing case is also gold tone. This clock is very heavy and has an electric cord in the back. The condition of the clock is near ... moreperfect! There is one very small chip in the back of the clock at about 1:30. Having a windable movement which keeps accurate time. The most special about this clock is off course it's appearance; which is created by the use of marble and lots of brass. The green base and roof come in marble. Making this time piece very heavy for its size. The side pieces and"pillars" come in brass showing a nice patina. The ball on top of the clock is also made of marble with another top on which comes in brass. Definately this clock had to have the appearance of a church/ chapel! In front you find a facated glass window without any scratches. The colours of the marble are SO bright. This beauty is running great. Keeps accurate time and the alarm ... morealso works as it should. The alarm is set by moving the alarm handle to the present time. Then you wind the alarm handle and have to set it on the time you want it to go off. This way it goes off at the chosen time. On top there is a richly decorated BRASS and there are also lots of brass decorations on the base. Corners and top of this beauty. The dial seems to be made of porcelain and is in an absolute perfect condition There are black metal hands and there is a separate alarm hand(in brass) The dial show Roman numbers; the scales are divided in 60 partitions; one for each minute. At the rear you find a door which can be opened to set the time. Alarm and wind the clock. This control panel is marked with"DRESDEN" Everything is original and it passed time without major cosmetic issues. Overall this object is in a very good state but not new. For sale is a circa 1870 French 5 Column Marble Mantle Clock. It has an eight day movement striking a bell on the hour and half hour via a count wheel. The movement is signed Japy Freres& Cei. I can find no flaws in the marble or the brass decorations. The flower decorated porcelain dial has no blemishes or cracks. All of the gold wash ormolu is in very good condition. The pendulum rods do show some light surface rust. The glass dial door closes and stays shut but doesnt click tight. The dimensions are 18 ½” tall. 9 ¼” wide and 4 ½” deep at the base. The clock runs great. The pictures will show the clock. This clock is from the estate of a relative. This clock appears to function as intended but I obviously can't make any warranty. Telechron Cobalt Blue Electric Chrome Clock Model 4F65 Art Deco Mantle Table
This beautiful Cobalt Blue and Chrome Telechron Model 4F65 Mantel Clock was produced between 1935-1939. This is one of the nicest original clocks that I have seen. The mirror on this clock is near perfect. I can find only a few small chips in the silver paint on the back edges of the mirror which are hardly visible from the front view. They definitely do not take away from this beautiful classic clock. The roman numerals are near perfect on this clock which is rare since they are usually worn which comes with age and cleaning. The blue dial and brass hands are in great condition. The chrome base is in good condition with no rust and only fine scratches. The power cord is in good shape also which I believe is original. I added some pictures to show the nice condition of this beautiful piece of history. Clock was tested several days and runs ... morequiet and keeps good time.
