There are no chips or cracks. There is light crazing throughout as usual for these. It measures 12" tall. 12 1/2" wide by 5" deep. BEAUTIFUL DIAL with green and what appears to be original hands. There are two keys that came with the clock that go with it now. The clock we believe has an Alarm. Is an 8 day, and is all original in its finish and equitment. The clock stands 24" tall by 4 3/4" front to back, and 15 1/2" wide. The door has the etched gold motif and is also in excellent condition. The face is marked with the Seth Thomas mark on the bottom. The clock is classically decorated with a black enamel finish that is accented by gold scroll work on the front and double red molding on each side. Up for auction is a beautiful antique mantel clock. I believe this to be very rare. As I have never seen any other like it. It was purchased at an estate sale. I was told that it was French in origin and is signed J Marti on the movement. It is a large and very heavy clock. Majority of the case is metal. At the bottom there is a theater mask with what looks like theater curtains in the back ground. The bottom of this round piece is some sort of black stone. At the top there is a lady a musical instrument. She sits on top of the same type of black stone that is shaped like a column. The front of the clock has the same black stone on each side of the face. Along the side there are urns with flowers flowing out of them. The clock has several finials and beautiful ornamentation. The face is white and has an open escapement. The statue and top ... morepiece of stone will come off of the clock as seen in the pictures. It comes with what I assume is the original pendulum, but doesn't have a key. I have a universal key and I would it up to make sure it would run. It ran for two days, keeping good time, but lost a couple of minutes. Also, it chimes the hour and half hour on a gong. It usually chimes a couple of minutes late. I asked a friend that knows a little about clocks and he said that it needs adjusting and probably needs cleaning. It was last cleaned/serviced by House of Clocks in Birmingham, ALA. according to the sticker in the back. This is truly an amazing clock and if my mantel was deeper, I would be keeping her. This is a beautiful mantel or case clock. This was a family piece and it has a note with it that says" cleaned and new face. Old antique clock, Waterbury and that note is dated November 29, 1967. My uncle was a antique dealer. The Pendulum has a W on both sides. A little paper inside says l-lower, r-faster. I don't know if this works as not sure where the key goes. My uncle had wonderful things so I'm assuming it works just fine. It has the key. Its 13" high and 11" across the bottom. Its 5 1/4 deep. The wood might be cherry? Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a nice old Wm. Gilbert mantel clock picked up while traveling in Florida. It has six marbleized pillars. The key, and it runs, chiming on the half hour and the hour. It measures 17 inches wide, 12 inches high and 6 inches deep.Here are the issues: It runs for 4-5 days and keeps pretty good time(I've adjusted the fast/slow mechanism but never got it exactly right) so it could probably stand servicing since the sticker on the inside shows it was probably last done in 1998; the black finish has some minor wear; the paper covering the pillars has separated on several of them; there is serious wear to several of the numbers on the face(most noticeable around holes where the key was inserted) the back cover is missing; there are two eye hooks on either side, for what reason I don't know. In short ... moreit isn't pristine, but the case is in solid shape with a faint ornate design just below the face, it keeps pretty good time and chimes nicely. ANTIQUE SESSIONS No 1 Wind Mantel Clock Decorated Wood Rope& IVY WORKS& Key This is a great looking antique clock. It works great! It is 22 1/2" tall x 15" widest x 3 3/4" deep. The base is 4 5/8" deep. The wood is in good condition. There is wear along the edges and a few minor marks. Very nice detail. The label is coming off. Glass was a little dusty, I cleaned it. The wood is 3/8" thick.
