This Fantastic designed Old German Black Forest hand painted Cuckoo clock with three lovely colorful Birds was part of a collection Cuckoo clocks found at a recent estate sale a long with several other old clocks. Please view the pictures below) The clock's lovely main case was dimensionally carved from the Black Forest wood depicting a old Mountain Chalet complete with a sharply pitched roof. This Cuckoo clock is totally deep carved with a incredible lif e like bird and forest floral. It's overall approx. length of the clock is very impressive 20" from top of bird to bottom of the pendulum and a width of 11" at the widest point. The entire clock and carvings are finished with lovely hand painted forest color hues. Gorgeous Restored Vintage Hand Carved German Cuckoo Clock w/Trees and Deer
Up for auction. We have a restored vintage one day Black Forest German cuckoo clock. The manufacturer is unknown. This a carved wood wonder. I just love this clock. The carving is gorgeous, of a house with pointed chimney, trees, and the browsing deer. It's just a work of art. It is complete with chains, weights, and an unusual pine bough pendulum. We ultrasonically cleaned and oiled the movement, refinished the frame, adjusted the gong, cleaned the chains, and tested it for several weeks in our home. It now has a new lease on life; looks beautiful and runs and cuckoos perfectly on the hour and half hour. This has a one day Regula movement. This Gorgeous and Large Old German Black Forest Hand Carved"Hunter" theme Cuckoo clock that plays two lovely Old Musical tunes was found at a recent private estate sale along with several other old Cuckoo clocks. Please view the pictures below) This Black Forest Cuckoo clock was totally deep carved in a dimensional look showing"life like" details in all the animals and beautifully hand painted in Forest color hues. The clock is very impressive in size with measurements of 21" from top of Stag's antlers to bottom of the pendulum and 12" wide at the widest point.Really Magnificent) There are many wonderful carvings and other items that catch your eye. So I will start at the top mentioning the large carved Stag's head displayed on a arrow shaped plaque at the very top peak of the clock. The Stag has very ... morelarge antlers and accented on both sides with hand carved and colorful Elm leaves and tree branches. He even has Glass inlaid eyes. The center of the clock is completely framed with more of the Elm leaves and branches with a Hunter's pouch complete with caring straps. At the bottom. This piece was carved from a single piece of wood(Incredible) On both sides of the center piece are displayed the Hunter's catch of the day. A carved Glass eyed Pheasant bird on the right and a Glass eyed Rabbit on the left.The face is easy to read with Roman numerals done in White, marked"Germany" at the bottom and framed with a circular Hunter's horn also caved from wood. The hands are also decorative in design. The movement is one of the finest German quality ever made. It was created from solid Brass and also marked"Germany" The movement is powered by three pine cone shaped metal weights that hang on Brass chains beneath the clock. The movement is regulated by a carved and hand painted leaf pendulum that swings back and forth beneath clock. At the very peak of the front is two little hinged doors. Please view the pictures below) This clock was carved depicting a old mountain Chalet complete with a sharply pitched roof. The clock is very impressive in size with a overall length of 16 1/2" from top of bird's wing to bottom of the pendulum and a width of 9" at the widest point. The Beautifully Hand Painted Forest Blue Bird with a lovely Red Breast at the top is one of the eye catching focal points. She has her wings spread and very colorful life like feathers and a Orange color Breast high lighted in Red. She even has a glass inlaid eye. Accented on both sides of her are colorful carved Maple leaves and tree branches. The center of the clock is framed with more of these ... morelovely leaves and branches. This auction is for an absolutely beautiful. Very rare, hard to find, vintage Animated Farmers Daughter/Eloper Cuckoo Clock, made in the Black Forest of West Germany by Emil Schmeckenbecher. It used to be where you could find one of these here and there but these days, they are getting harder to find, especially one in good shape like this one is and that everything works. This clock was an exclusive design of Emil Schmechenbecker. The Schmeckenbecher family produced beautiful, animated clocks at the same location near Triberg, Germany for 40+ years. The factory closed in the early 1990's. The clock was made in the early 1970's, in what was then West Germany. The case is mainly made from cured and aged linden wood, which is grown only in the Black Forest. Most of Emil's clocks were made from cured linden wood and a lot of clockmakers ... morefrom this region still use it. The clock is made to look like an old black forest Chalet and is colorfully trimmed with lots of hand painted flowers and other colorful floral. There is a wooden balcony just above the dial and two hinged windows with red shutters on each side and heart shapes in each. The lower wooden platform is complete with split rail fences on either side. The"Cuckoo" bird appears on the hour through the door on the left. He"cuckoos" the time, number of hours) and the farmer swings his pitchfork towards the young boy. Then the bird pops back inside, and then the boy goes up and down the ladder attempting to elope with the farmer's daughter who comes out of the window on the right while the swiss music box plays. On the half-hour, The"Cuckoo" bird opens the door on the left, and makes a single"cuckoo" before popping back into the case. This cuckoo clock runs good. The case is in good condition with no breaks or cracks. The clock movement appears to have been recently cleaned and oiled. This Gorgeous designed Old German Black Forest carved Cuckoo clock was found at a private estate sale along with several other old Cuckoo clocks. The overall length of the clock is 18" from the top of the bird to the bottom of the pendulum and 9 1/2" wide at the widest point. The entire clock and carvings was very artistic created with a Natural Forest Maple tree stain. Displayed on the very top is a lovely carved Forest bird with her wings spread. She even has a Red eye. She is accented on both sides with carved Maple leaves and tree branches. The center of the clock is framed with more of the carved Maple leaves and branches. The movement(Marked Germany) was created from Brass metal and powered by two metal pine cone shaped weights that hang on brass chains. The movement is regulated by a Leaf designed pendulum that swings back and forth beneath the clock. The clock's condition is very good and also runs great. Please view the pictures below) The clock is very impressive in size with a overall length of 15" from top of roof to bottom of the pendulum and 7" wide at the widest point. The German clock maker was very artistic in designing this clock with very colorful hand painted flowers and leaves to accent the hand carved wooden leaves. The front peak of the roof displays a lovely carved forest bird accented on the sides with carved dimensional Maple leaves and branches. The leaves have the hand painted flowers on them. The front of the clock is framed with more of the carved and painted Maple leaves displayed against a carved Lattice designed background. The face of the clock is numbered ... morein Roman numerals and marked"Made in Germany" at the bottom. The overall condition of this clock is superb with no defects I can see anywhere. The clock runs perfect and strikes a musical note once on the half hour and on the hour as many times needed for the hour of the day. The clock is powered by two Pine cone shaped metal weights that hang on Brass chains and regulated by a matching carved leaf pendulum that also has the lovely flower painted on it. This pendulum will swing back and forth beneath the clock. I will keep my price very low of some lucky person and remember this auction is for only 3 days. So place your bids early. This lovely little clock is in very nice condition as can be seen. The clock is working and keeping reasonable time. But only wants to go for about 8 hours, so it could use a service. One of the clocks best features is its high grade Swiss Lador Musical alarm, It plays beautifully and works correctly with the clock mechanism. I had to remove the musical movement to show you that it is an quite A substantial piece and hence the lovely music! But all reassembled and and working correctly!
