The mahogany case has its original finish very well preserved with a little crackling or crazing for antique character. See photos. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its soft sheen. The brass eight day movement keeps excellent time. It has been professionally adjusted and oiled. Gustave Becker German Antique 1910 Oak Grandfather or Tall Case Clock. Expertly crafted around 1910. This grandfather or tall case clock is signed"GB" for famous German maker, Gustave Becker on the movement and chime bar. All original. The wormy oak case has a beautiful finish with minor mars and a little wear, see photos. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. The hammered brass dial shows a few spots to the lacquer finish. See photos. Embossed and lacquered brass pendulum and weights are beautiful on this antique furniture from Europe. The brass movement keeps excellent time and runs for a week when wound by pulling the chains. There is a strike on the hour and half. Glass over the dial is convex.
