This is a great antique clock dating from approx. 1900. I believe the origin to be France. The clock frame is a sunburst design constructed of gilt wood. The clock face is metal and enameled. There is a crack in the enamel of the face between the 9 and 10. The frame itself is in very good condition. There are 2 pieces of the starburst missing. 7 pieces are not attached but I have 5 of them so 2 spears would have to be reconstructed. At some point. The movement was removed and replace with a battery operated movement. Please see pics. Overall, I would classify this as very good condition. It will make an impressive statement in any decor. Its really cool and its got a very high end feel to it with all the stones and the enamel work on it, lots of enamel wearing off from age. Its got an easel style back. This is an antique French Picture Frame clock. The frame of the clock is 18 3/4inches by 18 ¾ inches.And is in a Louis XV style. There are porcelain cartouche numbers held with bronze. The face of the clock is signed but we can not make out the name. We have not seen the back of the movement, so we do not know if it is signed. This clock dates circa 1880. The case is in very good condition. The dial has two small hairlines near the key holes. The clock winds properly(not over wound) but we were not able to get it to keep time for long. found at an estate sale years ago. I know it was from England as an antique store ticket from the UK was on it but has since been lost. Weighs 3 pounds on a regular scale. Seems like bronze but maybe brass? I honestly do not know. Needs dusting. Cleaning and polishing. no clock or clock works. Was for a mantle clock I am guessing. Very ornate leaf decoration around the sculpted man. The entire piece as shown measures 12" in height and 8" across. There is a small 1/4 inch tear in the lower center section of the canvas. But is not noticeable. Painting size is 36 inches wide by 28 inches high. Gold frame measures 44 inches wide by 37 inches high by 7 inches deep. This clock would be of interest to a serious clock collector. This is a beautiful Art Deco New Haven Desk Clock. It has a lovely twisted crystal frame done in a Venini style. It is trimmed with an aged brass patina and has a brass stand on the back. The Clock frame does have some wear around the base but is largely in very nice condition. It is a great looking piece of Vintage Japanese Lacquer work. Antique 1860's Black Forest Picture Frame Time/Strike Wall Clock
c.1860 Picture Frame Clock Wooden case with original black finish. Brass surround, porcelain dial. Front cover with original wavy glass enclosed in wood frame with latch, comes with pendulum& weights. Dial does have a few faint hairlines but no chips. Movement with wooden plates is running but will need some repair before use. The wheel the chain rides on(the one that makes the clock tick) is held to it's shaft by a retaining spring that is broken(see photo of me pointing to that) It also tends to strike the hour repeatedly without stopping but seems to work better with lighter weight. The wood sides that house the movement are held in place with small metal latches. One side is missing both, to hang safely these will need repaired. This is a beautiful. VERY OLD PENDULUM CLOCK with carved wood frame and back and REVERSE PAINTED GLASS. It's coming from a fine local estate and I've been told this is originally hand-made in Germany or Austria and about 200 years old. I'm unable to see any markings. Dates or numbers on it. Unfortunately the reverse-painted glass on the face is broken and hold together with a plastic support-glass. The mechanism is still working when wounded up with the(included) key for a little while and than it stops. Needs an expert restoration and repair but still a very decorative. Vintage Sterling Silver Desk Clock Floral Motif Picture Frame?
Up for sale is this this vintage desk top clock. With a floral motif Sterling silver case cover. I am not the craft type, but I would imagine you easily concert this into a picture frame of you so wished. It is marked Sterling Made in Italy. The Quartz movement is not currently working, I haven't tried to replace the battery, as I do not have this size, so this is untested and sold as parts or repair in that regard. There is a dent in the edge of the case below the 7, and I have not tried to clean or polish the silver. About 5 1/2" diameter in total, glass about 2 3/4" Also the hinge for the standing leg is coming loose. It still functions fine, but you probably want to better secure it.
