The shallow bowl or ... moredeep plate is unmarked. I know nothing about old porcelain of this sort. My best guess at origin is Japan. And my best guess at description is Imari. I could be wrong about one or both assessments. To me, this bowl seems to be quite old, but again– I could be wrong. Please help me out by closely reviewing the pics to best determine exactly what you are bidding on. You all know so much more about this item than I do. So the photos should hopefully help you determine age, origin and the related. If you have any questions that you think I can answer, just let me know. I apologize greatly for my ignorance. The bowl is in good condition with no major wear. There are several expected condition issues that are consistent with age. Storage, possible use and overall crudeness. There is an approximate 3/16” burn spot of sort(circular. Black in color) that is on a blue portion of the front decoration. I have no idea what this blemish is– my first thought was that it was maker related, but I can’t say for certain. There is a small approximate 1/8” indented square of sort to the white of the center that is under the glaze. So it is certainly maker related. A green leaf to a blue decoration area has an approximate 1/8” surface flake. There is a small discolored rough spot of similar length on the front edge. The bottom area of the outside edge has several spots that feel rough to the touch– nothing too terribly deep or anything like that. If you study these areas closely. It simply looks like rubbing wear that has caused loss to the surface. These areas are mostly on the same side as the“burn” mark. The bowl has crazing throughout. If you review the center of the bowl closely. You will notice several scratch marks, a few of which are kind deep. If you tilt the bowl back and forth under the light, you will find some other areas of scratching and scuffing, such as to most of

She died at the age of 90 and told me this set came from her French father. Who received it from his father. I think she told me it is 18th century, but I don't remember for sure. It consists of a large french mantle clock and 2 side pieces. The clock was on her mantle. It has suffered some damage. The clock does not work(at least I can't get it to. But I'm no expert) The front crystal(glass? has a crack or chip on face towards top. Each side piece has damage. One has the top of the handle missing. Up for bids is this old clock works from a kitchen clock. It is marked Waterbury Clock Co. Also marked 6 1/2 inch. Seems complete other than a pendulum. Springs look good. Has the face. Which has some paint around the brass edges, the alarm mech and bell, the chime bellstriker thing, and the main works. Comes with all or most of the screws. The face is approx 6 3/8 across. The finish on it is crazed and wore a bit. Slight dent on rim of face. The works looks complete and the governor will spin when the hands are turned.It also will strike a few times. This auction is for an antique New Haven Clock Co Banjo No. 3 clock. The back is signed and dated. Looks like the signature says Deleany possibly. The date is 1-9-41 G1 but I am not sure if this is a manufacture date. Serial# EC-611-23T. This clock functions when plugged in. It seems to take a couple of attempts to when advancing the button on the face but it has fired up every time I have tried. The ocean scene on the bottom is of some men rowing out to their ship. You are bidding on this DRESDEN. Antique desk/ Alarm Clock from Germany, in full functioning condition. This piece is also in an EXCELENT cosmetic and functioning condition! Having a windable movement which keeps accurate time. The most special about this clock is off course it's appearance; which is created by the use of marble and lots of brass. The green base and roof come in marble. Making this time piece very heavy for its size. The side pieces and"pillars" come in brass showing a nice patina. The ball on top of the clock is also made of marble with another top on which comes in brass. Definately this clock had to have the appearance of a church/ chapel! In front you find a facated glass window without any scratches. The colours of the marble are SO bright. This beauty is running great. Keeps accurate time and the alarm ... morealso works as it should. The alarm is set by moving the alarm handle to the present time. Then you wind the alarm handle and have to set it on the time you want it to go off. This way it goes off at the chosen time. On top there is a richly decorated BRASS and there are also lots of brass decorations on the base. Corners and top of this beauty. The dial seems to be made of porcelain and is in an absolute perfect condition There are black metal hands and there is a separate alarm hand(in brass) The dial show Roman numbers; the scales are divided in 60 partitions; one for each minute. At the rear you find a door which can be opened to set the time. Alarm and wind the clock. This control panel is marked with"DRESDEN" Everything is original and it passed time without major cosmetic issues. Overall this object is in a very good state but not new. Hi. You are looking at beautiful antique wall clock. This clock measures 70 cm tall and has a very nice wooden oak case. The clock needs a key to wind up which comes with it. It needs winding every 8 days. The clock has a large circle shaped pendulum inside the case. The sound of this clock is quite loud but magnificent. A deep and warm Westminster bell sound. I could not detect a maker's mark on this clock. Also I noticed that the number 2, 3 and 4 on the clockface have been touched up with black paint. Here's a Small Old Chelsea Brass Ship's Wheel Clock. Offered at NO RESERVE! The diameter of the back plate is approximately 3 and 7/8" and the clock is in Very Good Cosmetic Condition; the brass needs a good polishing and the face has what I would consider about average wear for the age. I think the pictures do a very representative job of illustrating the actual condition so examine them carefully and use the zoom feature. Unfortunately I cannot test the clock because, although I have numerous clock keys, none fit this clock. Welcome. For sale here is a French Art Deco style spelter and marble clock. It is signed"Menneville" Circa 1920-1930. It was working about 2 years ago when it was moved from my late brother in laws home. I don't have the key and don't want to touch it as I am not qualified to do so. Very handsome sculpture of a stag on a white marble base. White marble base sits on what appears to be black and tan Onyx. Glass door covering clock face is broken at lower right corner. Antique French Shelf or Table Clock - St.George/Dragon Slayer - NO RESERVE
I am listing some of the antique clocks from my late husband's clock shop. Some have been in storage for over two years and I just do not have time to clean& polish each one. Not sure how long the movement will run but obviously more than an 8 day movement. I have not tested for accuracy and their is no back to the clock so probably needs cleaning. The strike mechanism can be heard to click on the hour& half-hour but the strike arm will not raise. Also.Please excuse the dust. Gold painted metal with an onyx insert at the base with a pedestal holding the movement in a tin-can casing. Atop the clock is a fancy coat of arms. There is much ornate filigree, dragons& a statue of St. George in armor. There is a loose decorative piece on the left of the clock that I have shown in the pictures. I took pictures of the loose piece& the place where it will need to be soldered or somehow re-attached. please see last 3 pictures. Clock measures 15" H x 14-1/2" W x 5" Deep. There is a service date of 1980 on the back cover-that was the last time the clock was serviced/cleaned. The clock has no issues, with the exception that if you wind it up to much, the dial/movement will move& you have to recenter the dial in order for it to work-not a big deal if you know in advance. It has at least an eight day movement(as far as I know) I ran it for a few days and it keeps perfect time and the bell sounds sweet. His name is JENO JUSZKO(1880-1954) He was an artist sculpture, who made many bronze statues(you can look him up on the internet if you need more info) My research so far indicates that this was a very, very limited production run and that this clock is VERY RARE. The clock is huge and measures 23 inches long X 7 inches wide X 13 inches tall. It weighs approx 28 lbs. The clock movement is an INGRAHAM and it looks to have been a replacement-it is also not working at this time. I only plugged it in for a second just to see if it would go on since the plug/cord is rather dried out& should be replaced, and nothing happened. This has been sitting on top of an old piano for the last 40 years or so. There is lots of dust on the metal case still. The case is very detailed and the metal has a wonderful old patina, that must have taken years to develop. I suspect that the wood being used on the bottom(as a base) is a replacement and that it may have had a slab of marble instead of the wood-its just a guess on my part, but in my opinion the wood looks out of place- I could be wrong, but I thought I should men

1880 Sevres Porcelain Bronze Mounted Ormolu Clock Henri Picard No Reserve This listing is for a large and impressive Bronze clock with Sevres porcelain. The clock movement is marked HP&Co. I believe this clock to be made by the 19th. century clock maker Henri Picard. The clock is in running condition. But needs the usual adjustments. I have the original pendulum but I have no key. The quality of the bronze is good, although a bit worn. It has an old gold patina, but not bright. As far as the Sevres porcelain. There is a lovely hand painted scene in the front of a romantic couple. It has jewels around it, some of which are missing. There are other areas also which are missing jewels. A lot of the gold decoration on the porcelain is faded. And almost gone in some areas. It is still a nice blue color. It seems the whole piece was over cleaned. ... moreA bit of the bronze is loose on the top urn, but its there. The biggest issue with this clock is the dial. Which was cracked and repaired. The dial is nicely painted with jewels around it. It would be well worth the expense of having it professionaly restored. However it is still totally usuable in its current condition. Antique E. Howard No. 2 Regulator Wall Clock Banjo Type Cherry Case no reserve
A fresh estate find. selling to the highest bidder at no reserve. a full 45 1/2 inches tall. This is a very large American weight driven banjo type wall timepiece. Provenance: This particular clock once hung at Roebling. New Jersey at the Roebling Steel factory near Trenton. Roebling was famous for making steel supporting cables for suspension bridges all over the US. Google" roebling steel" and you will see" About 154.000 results" This clock is unsigned by the maker but is nearly identical to The E. Howard No.2 regulator except this one has a seconds bit like the No. 1 regulator. Very unusual indeed. Over the years I have bought and sold many E. Howard. Howard& Davis and even a couple of similar John Posley regulators but never have come across one just like this one with in the No.2 size AND a seconds bit. The case ... moreis made of cherry. Refinished long ago as these E. Howard type regulators were normally cherry with grain painting to resemble rosewood. The original painted dial is made of a zinc alloy, has a just few flakes and seems to have never been altered. The mechanism is original to the case has not been serviced in quite some time, yet seems to want to run; also, the precision movement attaches to the case with one heavy duty iron screw reminiscent of the way some of the very early banjo clocks were supported. The pendulum stick is wood and actually is made from a very old yardstick, likely done by one of the former repairmen who left a couple notes inside. more about that below. The cast pendulum(lead or lead zinc alloy) is covered with brass to the front as is typical of mid 19th century workmanship. The glass for the throat and for the dial both seem original and have matching ripples, waves and bubbles. due to worn away flanges on the throat frame, there are several screw added to holt the frame to the case. The backboard has a few bits of old paint along the edges as the painters did not move the clock prior to refreshing the wall. Lower glass obviously replaced about 40 or so

I'm pleased to offer this early rosewood key wind Seth Thomas clock. The clock is in wonderful condition other than a few scratches and veneer chips here and there. The clock runs and chimes well. Marked on face and also marked Made in France.This has a glass front with a oak case.The oak case has 3 minor scratch on bottom[see pictures]Does not detract from the beauty of this old Art Deco clock.It has a,8-day movement with chrome face and pendulum.The bottom has reversed painting glass a round in silver.Silver dial with black hands and numbers.Measures 21 long,6 inch deep and 15 wide.This would make a wonderful focal point to any room.Please see all the pictures and email me with any questions.
