Antique/Vintage Rare Meiji Black Adamantine Mantel Clock Working well. This unique black and gold mantel clock is not an American model from the turn of the century. Instead it is a MEIJI. Which is a Japanese clock company making clocks before the second world war. See the brand on the movement inside. But it looks like a Waterbury, Seth Thomas or the like. It has a shiny black adamantine case which is great condition for its age. Many of these old ones have thin restored adamantine but this one seems to be as thick and gleaming as it always was. Of course it has knocks and bumps commensurate with its age but they add character and it still looks really great. The decorations of columns and added metal have been gilded with proper gilding paste which has them glowing luxuriously gold. It has a bright clean shiny bezel and convex glass which ... moreopens and closes nice and snugly. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well counting out the hours on the hour and the half hour on its beautiful resonating cathedral gong. You are bidding on this DRESDEN. Antique desk/ Alarm Clock from Germany, in full functioning condition. This piece is also in an EXCELENT cosmetic and functioning condition! Having a windable movement which keeps accurate time. The most special about this clock is off course it's appearance; which is created by the use of marble and lots of brass. The green base and roof come in marble. Making this time piece very heavy for its size. The side pieces and"pillars" come in brass showing a nice patina. The ball on top of the clock is also made of marble with another top on which comes in brass. Definately this clock had to have the appearance of a church/ chapel! In front you find a facated glass window without any scratches. The colours of the marble are SO bright. This beauty is running great. Beautiful 1900's Antique SESSIONS "WAGNER"? PARLOR / MANTLE CLOCK w/ key Unique&
Another beautiful mantle clock I couldn't pass up from a recent estate sale I went to. Unique designs. Love the dark green color columns. The metal deco of a lady holding what looks to be a harp on each side, metal deco on sides and beautiful designs as you will see in the 12 photos uploaded. I was told, and information I have received or have been told in the past has been wrong at times, so PLEASE be your own judge and PLEASE look at all the photos. Someone mentioned it as a"WAGNER" and, I was also told it's a Mozart Circa 1918. It is without the glass over the face. Again, NO glass over the face of the clock. There's crackling on the material of the face/dial, from age and it being in used, antique condition, I assume. On the front of the face at the bottom, MADE BY THE SESSIONS CO. FORESTVILLE CONN. U.S.A. The front ... morehas the metal claw feet on each side. Measuring the widest part, which is the claw feet and where they come out, side to side, again, including the claw feet, approximately 16 1/4 inches. Measuring front to back, including the claw feet, approximately 6 inches. It displays approximately 11 3/4 inches tall. I took pictures of all sides angles, even the inner parts/mechanism. I couldn't get it to run. I really do not know what it needs. I think, and my opinion only, the pendulum is not mounted right because I found another pendulum type piece loose inside. It has the key with it. It strikes a deep sounding cathedral gong to the count of the hour/s and once on a bell for the half hour. I am not a clock expert and do not know exactly what it needs. So hopefully someone that knows about clocks will be able to tell more about it by looking at the photos uploaded. The scales show it weighing 9 pounds and 0.6 ounces. New Haven Clock Early Antique Folk Art Unique Parts Not Working
This is a wonderful project for the talented clockmaker. A New Haven folk art Box it shelf clock. This came just like this with all the parts and pieces fresh from an estate sale. New Haven Trade Mark is on the front dial of the clock. This looks to be original. The other movements and pieces I have pictured. The large spring also says New Haven on it. There are six other small gears. I do not know if they are all there or anything about them since I am not a clock person. It does have a beautiful folk art painting on the front of the wood box. The painting is original.I cannot tell what type of wood it is.it looks to be pine or fir and is original. It measures 15" x 10.5" across and is 5 1/2 inches deep. Message for any questions.
