Not working Sticker on back is a watch and clock service in Hilliard Ohio, HISTORY: Elias Ingraham(1805-1885) Elias, was born in Marlborough, Connecticut. He came to Bristol in 1828 to work for George Mitchell building clock cases. In 1830, Elias Ingraham, now a noted clock casemaker, began working for Chauncey and Lawson C. Ives. He made over five thousand clock cases for them over the next three years. As a group, Ingraham clocks, and especially the clocks made under a label bearing the Ingraham name up ... moreuntil 1885, refer to clocks made by several different companies.The firm of Brewster and Ingrahams clock company was formed in 1844 and operated until July 24, 1852. Some portions of the alabaster also has what looks like pitting marks? There is no key, but the clock does work. They had a universal key at the auction and wound it a little to show it works, but the key was theirs and they needed it to test future items that did not have one. Movement is smooth. Weighs over 31-lbs so is very heavy for its size. Measures 13-3/4" tall x 11.5" wide x 6.5" deep at base. Please check my other auctions for SIMILAR items. Up for auction is a nice vintage Telechron"Trenton" mantle clock model 336. Dates to circa 1920s- 1930s. Mahogany finish with a lighter carved motif. Gold tone dial. Serial number 258568 B. The movement is good, sometimes it will run for a minute and sometimes it just stops. both springs are good, the glass is good along with the two interesting Mirrors. Mirrors show there age. This is a wonderful Waterbury mantel clock. I just had it service it works great keep time well and the chimes are beautiful. However. Because I will be shipping this item it may need to be adjusted. Formed March 5. 1857, as a joint stock corporation, the Waterbury Clock Company from its inception was an operation designed to be a major user of brass produced by the parent firm, the Benedict& Burnham Manufacturing Company. Utilizing the best talent available to them, they hired veteran clockmaker Chauncey Jerome to set up the new firm’s casemaking shop and his brother Noble Jerome, a well-known clock mechanic, to set up the movement manufacturing operation. The clock has a wonderful porcelain or ceramic case covered in pink flowers and gold accents. On the back it has a label that indicates it was made by Waterbury and the clock is a Parlor Number 94. The clock has the original movement and the clock is in excellent working condition– including the gong. It measures about 12" tall and is in nice condition but there is a repair to one of the high points at the left side. There is also a shallow chip on the front at the 10:30 position. Antique Mantel Clock This auction is for a really nice and very well made antique. 1800s shelf or mantel clock. The clock has the original porcelain dial that’s marked Raingo Frerea Aaria, which is a famous French clockmaker. The dial does have some hairline crow’s feet. The case is made of very heavy solid brass and on the front it has a neat image of a cherub in a chariot and griffons at the very bottom. All four sides have thick beveled glass panels and the front and back door open. The clock movement has been replaced by a battery movement but otherwise the clock is old and original– probably from around the 1870s. The box looks to me to be oak and the gingerbread back maybe walnut. truly a very pretty piece. There are 2 cracks in the cutwork that are stable when hung on the wall. Carved Aesthetic Movement style, circa 1870s-1880s. This large gingerbread clock stands 20 inches tall by 13-1/2 inches wide. It is in fine antique condition. The beautiful wood case has no chips. Here for your consideration we have a beautiful Golden Oak Seth Thomas Gingerbread Clock. The clock still runs and chimes beautifully. The endulum is most unusual with a Lion mask face. There are two keys that came with the clock that go with it now. The clock we believe has an Alarm. Is an 8 day, and is all original in its finish and equitment. The clock stands 24" tall by 4 3/4" front to back, and 15 1/2" wide. The door has the etched gold motif and is also in excellent condition. The face is marked with the Seth Thomas mark on the bottom. About 6 1/2 inches wide and a little over 3 inches front to back. The statue is painted gold and has some bare spots on the bottom that resemble lead. Th clock is not connected to the statue, the solder joint came loose. The clock does not run and is missing the key to set the time. The clock's dimensions are approximately; H- 12.75" W- 10.5" D- 6.75" The Case: The wooden(either mahogany or walnut? is in excellent physical condition. The clock retains its original finish and has an excellent patina. There are some areas here and there with finish loss. I believe this does not distract from the beauty of the clock. There is a pressure/age crack on the front of the clock. Between 12 and 1. Also, a small bruise on the bottom left corner. The Dial/Face: The steel dial/face is in excellent physical condition. I can not see and/or feel chips. Breaks, scratches etc. The hands are original as well. The Bezel: The brass bezel has a nice established patina. THIS IS A VERY NICE E. INGRAHAM. BRISTOL, CONN. KITCHEN OAK SHELF GINGERBREAD CLOCK APPROX 23" HIGH AND 14" WIDE VERY ORNATE* CIRCA* 1878-1879 I do not know anything about antique clocks and I cant get the the round piece to hook onto the pendulum arm. It looks like either piece broke off or little hole that it slips into is just to big over time and needs repair.I do know the bell rings cause when I moved the hand around it went off and rang. There are no cracks or breaks or chips in the wood and the glass in front is absolutely perfect. From the estate of a clockmaker. Antique E. Ingraham gingerbread mantle or shelf clock with brass works. This is for parts. Project or repair- Great candidate for restoration! In decent antique condition. As you can see, clock is missing glass to the front door, face, pendulum, and key. The top ornament is detached but can easily be re-glued. Missing finial on the left side as shown in the photos. A restorer or tinkerer could most likely get this clock up and running with little effort! What a beautiful project! Antique Ornate Junghans Mahogany Key Wind Mantel Shelf Clock W/Chimes
For your consideration an antique clock. The clock is made of mahogany wood with a beveled glass window. There is a piece of wood missing off of the base. The right spring does not wind up and I could not get it to stay running. I am selling it as is. It measures 13" in width by 17" in height by 9 1/2" in depth. Antique Large 17.5" Shelf Mantel Figural Art Nouveau Clock Housing Seth Thomas
Antique Art Nouveau Clock Housing Face is Marked Seth Thomas NY This incredible clock housing is very large and heavy. It measures about 17-1/2" inches tall. And weighs over 15 pounds. The back diameter for where the movement would go is 3-7/8" inches. The hinge on the back cover needs to be repaired or resoldered on. Also, the front glass where the Seth Thomas face is will need to be held together with the movement I believe(it slides a bit for now) Overall. There aren't too many condition issues, and it actually looks very nice for it being so old. I believe this is made of a brass looking pot metal. This piece has amazing cherubs, pheonix' and art nouveau designs. The lady on top is reading or writing with an old oil lighter lamp. There are no signatures besides the number 17 in the back center. ANTIQUE 1902 WATERBURY NAPIER? MANTEL / SHELF CLOCK W/8 DAY SPRING STRIKE, WORKS
You are bidding on a beautiful antique mantel or shelf pendulum clock from the Waterbury Clock Co of Waterbury Connecticut. I don't know much about clocks but I will do my very best to describe it as accurately as possible. First of all. The exact year of production is unknown. I came up with 1902 because on the back in pencil there appears to be the owners name(hard to read) and the year 1902 written on the wood. It may have been made earlier than that but this is the latest date I can find on it. The cabinet is very ornate with hand carvings from the top to the bottom. I believe that it is solid oak and stained in a medium finish. It stands approx 24" tall, 15" wide and 4 1/2" thick. It has a glass door with a gold accented design all the way around with a dragon in the lower left hand corner. It has brass components ... moreinside that include the pendulum, the strikes and trim rings around the face. There is an outer ring of roman numerals as well as a small brass ring of the same numerals in the center of the larger one. I believe that it is a Napier? model because there is a brittle paper label on the back which has all those letters except the P. The rest of the label has all of the following info on it; Eight-Day-Spring-Strike, Waterbury Clock Company, Waterbury Conn. USA, and directions for setting the clock, running and keeping it in order, directions for setting alarms in alarm clocks, directions for striking clocks and directions for calendar clocks. It also has a four cities which I'm guessing may have had stores that sold their clocks. They include Cortland St. New York, Wabash Ave. Chicago, Market St. San Francisco and Stockwell St. Glasgow. For the most part, this very informative label is in very good shape, its just that upper quarter that is brittle and has flaked off a bit. Now for the best part, this golden oldie seems to work just fine and the original key is included. I didn't let it run too long but what I observed seemed to be working as it should. I will combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever possible. This auction is for a nice Antique camel back mantle clock made by The Ansonia Clock Co. I think it is called a Sonia#1 and is a model A26. It measures 22-1/2 inches long. 11 inches tall, and is 6-3/4 inches deep. The face is machined metal in A silvery whitish tone, with black arabic numerals, framed in brass. The face has a touch of age soiling but is otherwise in excellent condition. It has a bubble level built right in under the 12, also has four adjustable metal feet so it can be leveled. The brass framed crystal is beveled and domed and like the face, is also in excellent condition. An antique or vintage mantel clock measuring just over 11" tall. About 9-5/8" wide, and about 5-1/4" deep(dollar bill shown in image for size comparison only) The clock is in good running condition. No key is included. There is no maker's label that we can find and no marks are visible on the inner works(we did not disassemble the works) so we do not know the maker and we do not know the precise age.
