Antique Art NOUVEAU Arts& Crafts WATERBURY Brass Clock w/ BIRD c. 1894 Here is a gorgeous original antique brass Waterbury art Nouveau clock. It stands 7 1/2 ins. tall by 4 ins. wide at the base. It is in good condition. I have no idea if it works as I am always scared to wind these to test, so I don't. The clock face is in good shape, original glass cover. It is marked Manufactured by Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. On the back plate it is marked with this. Last patent date is 1894 for this one. Then you see the other Waterbury mark. Clock face is about 1 15/16ths ins. approx. I liked the little bird down here. I believe this is brass with a brass finish. A magnet does not stick to it( besides the back cover plate)It is fairly light-weight. So not bronze. I am also listing some other Art Nouveau clocks I bought in separate auctions. Signed French Art Nouveau sculpture and onyx mantel clock with figures of 2 women and lovebirds. Late 19th century. Measurements: base is just under 14 1/2inches wide and 8 1/2inches high. Total height is 29inches. Beautiful marbled onyx in a soft almost luminous green. Gilt metal scrolling foliate mounts and highlights. Porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals and handpainted floral swag. Delicate gilt metal hands. The name of the firm is worn. Onyx has age'cracks' But they are only superficial and not damage of any sort. Delicate metal grille covers the clock's movement at the back. See photos for details. Antique German Friedrich Mauthe Schwenningen Art Nouveau Wall Clock
This is an Antique German Art Nouveau Wall Clock by Friedrich Mauthe. It is all original and complete with the case. Movement, pendulum and key. The movement is marked with the German initials DRP for Deutsches Reichs Patent. It also has the makers emblem, FMS, which is for Friedrich Mauthe Schwenningen. There are patent numbers, N55006, 47082 etched into the movement along with 42/105, which is the number of and how many off these were made. It is in very good working condition. The face has some crackling from age but otherwise all of the glass and wood is fine with no chips or cracks. There is one issue with the wood panel on the back bottom part, it has been cracked and pushed in, a small minor repair to the back of the case that has nothing to do with the operation or looks of the clock. The movement is taken on and off by two screws ... moreon either side that when loosened allows the movement to slide into grooves on the bracket. The chime rod is attached to the case behind the movement when in place. The design on the face and on the pendulum has an Art Nouveau style. They appear to be made of brass. It is approximately 28"high x 10"long x 6"wide.

This piece of history is in estate find condition. There is some wear to the case and the gilt finish. The little cherub's(R) hand is missing and there is not a winding key present. Not a real clock. The face is very sharp and clear to see. The color gold is shinier and not as washed out. Some color paint loss as you see, but wonderful original antique clock for doll's house. Antique Bronze Brass Clock Statue of Lady Nude Venus Dancing VERY ART NOUVEAU
All or the clocks I will be selling were given to me by my Grandmother. And I know very little about them, I was told that they were over 60 + years old and not reproductions, as she was a clock lover all her life. This Dancing woman on a pedestal is 10" high x 5" wide x 3" deep. She is heavy, and has a beautiful crystal, I am not sure if it runs or not. it was so strange on the back I did not want to temp fate, It has been in a closet for many years, so I am sure it will need to be cleaned. My Grandmother seems to think this came from France. And I can not read what is inside. She is truly beautiful.

ANTIQUE CLOCK: Art Nouveau. Gilded Bronze, c.1900, Movement Working Perfectly This is a very fine and beautiful Antique Clock in the Art Nouveau style made. Most likely, around the turn of the last century, or around 1900. The Art Nouveau movement was an international philosophy and style of art. Architecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts, that was most popular from 1890 to 1910. It was a reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, and was inspired by natural forms and structures, not only in flowers and plants but also in curved lines. Our clock has the typical curving lines and foliage- leaves and tendrils flanking the dial and continuing down to the feet. But the most interesting decorative element in this clock is the figure of Cupid right under the dial. He holds his bow in his right hand and seems to be cupping ... morehis ear with his left hand; a slightly mysterious gesture. Two long flower stems spring up from behind the figure of Cupid. One other interesting aspect of this clock. And one which reflects the Art Nouveau style. Is that, at first glance, the decorations around the edge appear symmetrical. But, in fact, they are not. There are slight differences in the leaves and tendrils and even in the decorative band above the dial. There is no perfect symmetry in Nature, and the artists who worked in the Art Nouveau style avoided any rigid symmetry. And sought balance instead. There is no damage to this clock. It stands securely and keeps perfect time. There is some natural wear to the gilding. But it does not detract from the beauty of the clock. The back is simply painted a bronze color. This clock measures 7 inches tall and is 4 1/2 inches wide. The photos give a very good idea of the particular charm and beauty of this Art Nouveau Clock made with a figure of Cupid from around 1900. Here we have a lovely antique ornate clock by Jennings Brothers. the clock has patent dates on the back of the face listed as follows" PATENTED JAN.15 1878 MAY 6 1890 NOV 11 1890 DEC 23 1890 JAN 13 1891" so i figure this one is from 1891. it is very well formed with two cherubs, one at the top of the clock and one at the base,they are frolicking amongst the art nouveau scroll work and the clock has 4 legs. the dial is ivory with wonderful art nouveau numbers and a JCB in the top half. the crystal is all good. the back of the clock has lovely patterned design and is alsot marked THE JENNINGS BROTHERS CO. This clock is from a pre estate sale, a friend of mine was going through her parent's estate, she wanted to find someone who would appreciate these items, we looked over the clock, I could not find a name, and there is no key, I did hear it ticking a day after we had it unloaded in our shop, so it has potential, the ornate lion head was very common in the late 1800's to early 1900's, there is wear on the painted motif, it appears the pendulum is made of marble, it has some knicks, scratches, but is a solid piece, any questions or info appreciated, measures 11" tall, 17.5" wide, 7.25" depth, we do not know if it works. Offered for auction: Antique clock with painted lady laying down. First picture was taken with a flash. Made the colors pop and look more vibrant than it does to the naked eye. The other pictures are more true to reality in terms of what the colors look like in person. Measures about 9 inches tall by about 6 3/8 inches wide at the very bottom. Has some scratches, paint loss, etc. The glass was broken but when I was moving it, the pieces fell out. So now there is no glass. On the back are three patent years. Antique Art Nouveau Clock Housing Face is Marked Seth Thomas NY This incredible clock housing is very large and heavy. It measures about 17-1/2" inches tall. And weighs over 15 pounds. The back diameter for where the movement would go is 3-7/8" inches. The hinge on the back cover needs to be repaired or resoldered on. Also, the front glass where the Seth Thomas face is will need to be held together with the movement I believe(it slides a bit for now) Overall. There aren't too many condition issues, and it actually looks very nice for it being so old. I believe this is made of a brass looking pot metal. This piece has amazing cherubs, pheonix' and art nouveau designs. The lady on top is reading or writing with an old oil lighter lamp. There are no signatures besides the number 17 in the back center. It truly is a piece of art from the Art Nouveau period- Manufactured by the Seth Thomas Clock Company, circa 1909- The Seth Thomas Company named her"TANYA" In keeping with the Art Nouveau design of the period. Tanya is graced with fairy wings, long flowing blonde hair and a flowing dress with it's original polychrome finish- She stands 21" tall on a 10" x 10" base and weighs 28# Just below her, on the base, is a dragonfly in relief- The case is fitted with a brass 8 day, time& strike movement by the Seth Thomas Clock Company- It strikes once on the half hour and counts out the hour at the top of the hour- It has a perfect 4" porcelain ... moredial with black Arabic numbers- The dial reads: SETH THOMAS" It is fitted with gold painted hands- It has a beveled glass cover over the dial which is housed in a fancy French Sash Bezel- Since it has just been professionally cleaned. However the base of the clock is missing parts also the hand painted porcelain pieces are in worn off condition. The mechanism itself is still working however there is no pendulum present with this clock. There is also no key. This would make for a great restoration project. What the angels are made out of. it looks complete and in great shape for the age. the clock moves freely and seems to be very old from the story my father in law said to me. this clock is about 11 x 5 x 12 in size. i looked this up and found nothing like it but found similar please give me as much info you know about this clock and also let me know how old it is. please do YOUR own research so you know what your buying from us. will come with free shipping and free insurance due to the shape its in. highest bid will win it. good luck

Antique 19thC Art Nouveau French Enamel Silver & Gold Overlay Travel Alarm Clock
This is a RARE beautiful antique pocket size travel alarm clock. A beautiful mid to late 1800's period piece. Made in France in there gorgeous Art Nouveau design. The clock dial is a gorgeous enamel white with black painted sections around the outside. Bright green thick Guilloche enameling over carved spiral decoration with gold painted numbers on them. A black painted inset seconds dial& gold painted flowers around the dial as well. The case is a magnificent piece of art as well. The body of the case is solid brass even the backside of the brass is engraved with design. The front has a cover of black bronze or iron. With stunning art nouveau style Silver overlay of flowers and stems with gold overlay tall scrolled leaves. With a gold and silver overlay of overlapping intials in the center top of JS. The Movement is an old antique ... moreFrench Key Wind movement. With original key. The movement does work. It may need a lubrication. I took the movement out. Which took a while to figure out how to do it safely. There were no visible markings on the movement. The backside of the clock is marked Depose Metal Dore 192064. The backside as you can see has a round loop which folds out partially. For sitting on a desk or night stand at an angle.Then there is a pull up brass loop for hanging either in a carriage or on a wall etc. It measures approx. 2-3/4" by 3-1/4" See condition below. Have fun bidding. Condition: The clock is in great condition for its age. The body has a fantastic dark original patina to it from handling. Very minor wear and some gold overlay loss. The dial of the clock has a spider web lick hairline crack on the face. The movement is in working condition. There is no glass over the dial. Please read all terms and info below before bidding. The key is not included and the crystal and the hour hand are missing. The face appears to be the original porcelain and it seems to have been removed at some point. Since it is not perfectly centered. The gold gilt is in good condition, with signs of wear(see up close photos) The clock is approximately 10 1/4" high and base is 3" X 4 1/2" I am not sure if the clock is in working order. It is not running and someone put the works in backwards as the face is on the backside of the piece(see pics) Just needs to be reinserted correctly and get it running or use for parts.
