Beautiful antique 19th century American textile: loom-woven wool rag rug with fringes. Sturdy. Extremely well made, rich texture, and gorgeous design. ... moreIt measures approx 2'10" x 6 feet(34 x 72 inches) Not including the 2.5 inch fringe on either side. Weighs almost 5 lbs. Photos taken outside in cloudy afternoon light. Looks fabulous! A bit of wear. A few spots, and some of the blue wool rags shows small holes(2nd last photo) No repairs. There are loose black threads throughout, used to sew the rags into strips for weaving. There are less on the side that seems to have been up; likely the threads came off through use. But the rug shows little use- looks wonderful! This rug came out of a VERY dusty old attic, and really needs cleaning. That attic held many other long-forgotten antique hooked and rag rugs. Original spring driven unmarked movement strikes the hours and halves on one gong.White-enameled Arabic chapter ring is framing a chased brass bezel with repousse gilt brass animated automaton of Cupid forging his arrows.Original hands. The pendulum is rod pendulum with brass bob.A typical light-weight one,it hangs from a silky thread suspension,adjustable from the dial(in this case, looks like it's the tiny ... morearbor above XII) A key to make pendulum adjustments is included. Measurements: 51cm high x 29cm wide x 8cm deep.The dial is about 14cm in diameter. Condition: Both keys(1 wind up key and 1 smaller key for pendulum adjustments) are included.Top bud shaped decoration may be not original.The dolphins are detachable at the moment but can be easily fixed permanently with wood glue. I will remove them before packaging to avoid breakage. Approx. 1850-1880's) The inscribed Blondeau á Houdan figural clock has an ornately decorated bronze and alabaster footed base with a small round clock resting to its left and a brass female Fileuse. Or yarn spinner, leaning upon it. The female is dressed in a square bonnet, pulled back curls, and a ruffled bustle dress with a loosely tied corset. Her dress is ankle length, a vulgar attire at the time, indicating she was of the working class. She holds a spool in one hand while drawing out string in the other. In front of the angel is a bow. At the left a pedestal with lire. At the top is a fountain with a lion head topped with two doves. In front plinth ornate with flowers and cupid. All over in good condition with wear on the gilding of the case. Gilt relief dial with Roman numerals. Movement is with silk suspension and is in working condition chiming on the bell at 1/1 and ½ hours. Key and pendulum included. Fantastic 19th Century Antique French Empire Onyx& Gilt Bronze Clock Case Fresh out of a local estate and up for bids is this fantastic white onyx clock case with gilt bronze applied decorations. This piece dates to sometime around the mid 19th Century. The case measures approx 10.5" tall(not including the finial) and is 9" wide at the base. It weighs a hefty 16 lbs. The gilt bronze work is superb featuring full three dimensional serpentine stylized birds of prey. Some work has been done to the clock. The original movement was removed and replaced with a modern day battery operated quartz movement. The hands have also been replaced. The case is in overall very good condition with no chips or cracks but the top adornment has separated and needs to be reattached. What might appear to be a crack in the case is simply the natural ... morevariegation of the color of the stone. There are four holes at each corner of the top where there was some type of bronze decoration at one time. The rear door glass is cracked. This lovely clock set is composed of gilt bronze with Sevres style details on the candlesticks and pedestal. The Baume& Lezard Clock is cased in bronze next to a sculpture of a woman in Middle Eastern dress with a water jug. The clock stands on two mismatched feet. There is a small nick in the porcelain on one of the candlesticks. The winding mechanism is functional but the clock requires a pendulum. The Sevres panel on the front has been repaired. Up for auction is an excellent antique 19th century Seth Thomas mantle clock. Solid ebony wood with an intricate inlay pattern which looks like maple or possibly metal with subtle gold flecks. Gold ormolu bronze feet. Finial, and border ornaments. Chimes on the hour and half hour. Comes with a key. Clock is in very good condition with some minor surface wear, some discoloration to the front bottom. Missing the pendulum, but clock seems to be working just fine. It is ticking and chiming, but it has not been fully tested. It is an estate purchase and has not been serviced. Please see photos carefully for details. Figured walnut case with classical detailing houses a clock movement by the famous maker Lenzkirch of Germany. The clock is signed on the back of the works as follows: Lenzkirchand/ A.U.G. 52” The factory logo on this model began to be used in 1875(Lenzkirch website) The works are also hand-incised at back as follows. A57/ 15” The back of the wood case has fleur-de-lis cut-outs to enhance the audibility of the chimes. The gilt brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals. The gilt interior of the ring has been acid-etched to produce a distinctive light-catching textured disk. There are gilt ormolu ornaments in the spandrels featuring swags and cherubs. The dial is protected by a door inset with heavy beveled ... moreglass. The clock has an eight day movement that strikes the quarter. Half and hour on a curled gong. Movement will run for approximately 8 days when fully wound. It has a good action and the clock keeps good time. The movement strikes a coiled gong on the quarter. Beautiful Antique Circa 1860 Biedermeier Vienna Wall Regulator Wall Clock. The Clock appears to be all original with porcelain dial surrounded by intricate brass work(Pie Crust) Original key and weight are present. The case appears to be made of Rosewood with Upper Finials and Drop Finials on the bottom. There are glass sections on both sides of the case. I do not see a makers mark on the clock or movement, I do believe this to be an original Biedermeier clock. The clock appears to be in excellent working condition, I cannot get the clock balanced, the pendulum will swing but it brushes against the white porcelain piece at the bottom.manually the hands move and it ticks as it should.
