This auction consists of the pictured original 19th century French three piece clock set made of alabaster and gilt in fine working condition. The clock measures approx 16 1/4" tall. Top is 8" x 5 1/4" base is 9 1/4" x 6 1/8" deep. The clock face is 5 1/4" in diameter. The clock is signed"Paris" It is a key wind with original key. Chimes are lovely- on hour and half hour. The pair of matching five branch candelabra measure approx 19 1/4" tall. 7 1/2" front with 4" square base. Each hold five 7/8" candles. Antique wall Clock French original 1800-1900 French Country w/ orig. shelf
This beautiful vintage wall clock is French Country in style. The green and gold tones with pink flowers have a wonderful patina. The is some very minor cracking in the wood due to the age and the way it was made. This is where the wood was glued together before it was carved. This is a wall clock meant to sit on the matching original shelf but could stand alone on a mantle. The works are marked Unghans with a large letter J inside of a star as shown in one of the photos. The clock while sitting on the shelf is 35" high x 19 1/2" wide. It does work and dongs on the hours and on the half hours. I can't find much information on this so if anyone has any info I would appreciate if you would share. There is a round stamp on the back but I am unable to make it out. Posted with

It is fresh from a old Forest Hills. NY estate. You are bidding on a very large and important French Gilt bronze clock made by Brocot Brevete of Paris from the mid 1800's. Wonderful quality and craftsmanship. It is signed in the back as seen on pictures. The condition is expected for its age. The arms on the dial are missing. In addition, the object held by the girl is missing. The chime and the pendulum are separated from the mechanism. The chime has a very pleasant lovely sound. I am unsure about the condition of the movement. It'll probably need some restoration, as well as the gilding. Overall, it is an eye catching antique clock in need of restoration. Here for auction is what I believe to be a clock movement dated around the late 1800's. This is probably a Black Forest Wag on Wall Shield Clock. The movement appears to be in working condition with the proper repairs as it has obviously been sitting for some time. It is weight driven by 2 heavy weight drive chains which I am including. The chains alone are very nice collectable parts. The frame measures 9" tall x 6" wide. If anyone out there knows about this clock I would love to know where it is from and how old it is. This is a wonderful Waterbury mantel clock. I just had it service it works great keep time well and the chimes are beautiful. However. Because I will be shipping this item it may need to be adjusted. Formed March 5. 1857, as a joint stock corporation, the Waterbury Clock Company from its inception was an operation designed to be a major user of brass produced by the parent firm, the Benedict& Burnham Manufacturing Company. Utilizing the best talent available to them, they hired veteran clockmaker Chauncey Jerome to set up the new firm’s casemaking shop and his brother Noble Jerome, a well-known clock mechanic, to set up the movement manufacturing operation. ANTIQUE CLOCK: French Ormolu Case. Gilt Bronze, 1800's. Great Patina,New Movement This is a wonderful Antique French Clock in the Rococo Revival Style. The case is fine ormolu. Mercury gilded bronze. I believe it dates to the 1800's. It has been fitted with a new movement and keeps perfect time. Very often these fine cases were made in France to be exported and sold in the United States. I believe this is the case with this particular clock. As it came from the estate sale of the scion of an old and prosperous Boston family. It is extremely well modeled and cast. Featuring design elements on all four sides. At first glance. These decorations seem to be symmetrical. But they are not. For example. The foliage on the front surrounding the central scallop shell is slightly different from side to side. This is true of all of the foliage ... moredecorations on all four sides of the case. This slight variation from side to side avoids the static effect of absolute symmetry, which can be deadening, even in decorative objects such as this fine clock. At the very top is a wonderful finial. Also asymmetrical, featuring what looks like a Tulip blossom. This rests on a neo-classical, fluted Doric capital. This clock is rather large. Measuring 14 1/4 inches tall, 9 3/8 inches wide at the bottom of the front feet and 4 3/4 inches deep between the front and back feet. There is no damage to this clock at all; it stands straight and secure. Some purists lament the fact that I sometimes place new movements in these beautiful old clock cases. But. As is often the case, the original movement of this clock was broken and corroded beyond all hope of repair. So my thinking is that with the new movement, this beautiful object can be returned to its functional purpose; that is, to tell the time. Which is does perfectly and beautifully. This clock has all of the charm and beauty of a 19th Century Antique Clock without any of the troublesome concerns often associated with such. And it never needs winding. I will. ANTIQUE CLOCK: Rococo Rival. Git Bronze, late 1800's, Movement Working Perfectly This is a wonderful Antique Clock in the Rococo Revival Style. It is made of gilt bronze. And dates most likely to the late 1800's. It stands 13 3/4 inches tall, and keeps perfect time with a movement which I believe is later than the case itself. Rococo Revival was a 19th-century style characterized by curved silhouettes and ornate carving. It began as a"Modern French" style in England in the 1820s. Drawing on baroque elements of Louis XVI and Louis XV furniture, and developed in France in the 1830s under Louis Phillipe. The style was popularized at the 1851 Crystal Palace Exhibition in London, and at expositions in New York in 1853, and Paris in 1855. LIGHTING EXCEPTIONAL LOUIS XVI GILT BRONZE ANTIQUE MANTLE CLOCK Dial signed by Jean-Antoine Lépine(French. 1720-1814) c. 1780-1800 Item# 1402AWP28-D A truly marvelous work of art. This truly opulent mantle clock expresses the sentiments of the French Louis XVI period with utmost purity. It is surmounted by a remarkably well cast spread-winged eagle, it's claws grasping sprawling flames raised on a black plinth draped with flowing gilt bronze foliage; every minute aspect of the bird, even the pimpled skin along the toes and the lines of each feather, is detailed with utmost realism. The clock is divided down the center in near perfect symmetry, one side to the other; a bouquet of flowers are presented in a pair of urns, one black ... moremarble and the larger in alabaster, each resting on the stepped marble shelf flanking the dial. A finely painted and enameled presentation. The dial mixes Roman and Arabic numerals, a practice the firm of Jean-Antoine Lépine reportedly used until 1789 when it reverted back to utilizing purely Roman numerals. The gilded hour and minute hands are made more prominent by the ebonized seconds hand. These situated above the scrolling signature. The dark black marble columns are wrapped in twists of foliage, flanked by swirling acanthus mounts and gilded floral bouquets. The movement is in excellent working condition(currently. Not guaranteed upon arrival) the plate impressed"588" and"5" and is accompanied by what appear to be the original keys- the smaller impressed"5" along the top. Hanging from the silk-suspension is a well cast pendulum of a sun-god with rays shooting out from around the mask; the back of the pendulum is not impressed with a number, suggesting a possible replacement, though the quality and age of the pendulum are in line with the rest of the clock. This clock was made in France during the 1700's possibly by Henri Jacot. Face has Paris in black script and L. Lombard at the top. It runs with a key turn at the bottom. Cherub at top was originally holding an arrow. It is in great shape except for two small chips in clock face porcelain. I had the gold professionally cleaned. But it needs to be done again. We bought it in Haiti in the 90's and had it put back together, it was in pieces. All pieces are original.

This clock is old. Purchased originally in 1875. There is a note inside the clock that explains the original purchasers story. The movement is still working and ticking. But the chime seems to need a catch to hold it while winding. The pendulum is on the bottom. I removed it for shipping. The face of clock shows wear from age, but the glass is all intact. The wood on the sides towards the top rear is chipped.

Beautiful Antique Late 1800's Ingraham "Lexington" Sounding Mantle Clock
I was fortunate enough to acquired this beautiful clock at a recent estate sale. This is a well crafted and solid clock. I highlighted the defects that were visible in the"item condition" Here's what I found out and know concerning the mechanics. The key is not original but winds the clock fine at the"4" The key does not fit the other two. Which I don't know what these slots do anyways. The clock makes a beautiful"cathedral" sound once at the half hour. And sounds the time at each hour. The clock runs fine and seems to keep pretty good time; however. It is touchy and the pendulum will stop if the clock is not balanced properly. The Body of the clock is painted wood. The trim is either brass or bronze and the marbled pillars seems to be faux wood. The clock weighs 10 pounds and measures approximately 11" ... morehigh by 16" wide. I am not very knowledgeable of this clock. Did not and do not know how to service it. Early 1800's Antique Black Forest Germany Shield Wag on Wall CLOCK Working
Antique Wag-on-Wall Clock This is a wonderful antique early 1800's working Wag-on-Wall Clock. This clock chimes on the hour and keeps great time. The chime is a bright bell ring not a gong style sound. The wooden case actually has one side that has been fashioned out of an old wooden cigar box. The hand painted face of the clock measures 17 1/2" in Height and 12" in Width. The clock with the Pendulum measures 42" from the very top of the clock to the base of the pendulum. The clock is approximately 8" in Depth. There is some paint chipping around the outer edge and one larger area missing paint in the bottom right corner(see photos) The photos that appear a little yellower were taken without a flash. Antique late 1800's Eastlake Spoon-Carved wooden Clock Shelf
Today I have up for sale a late 1800's beautiful Eastlake Victorian spoon carved CLOCK SHELF. Made of 2 different woods. Oak and Walnut. The shelf part has been replaced with an oak wood and is a lighter wood than the original walnut back and sides. It has been refinished. Has 2 holes for mounting on the wall. The shelf measures 17 1/4" long. By 6 3/4" wide, 1/4" thick. The back measures 16 3/4" long. 7 3/4" high, by 1/4" thick. Very structurally sound. What the angels are made out of. it looks complete and in great shape for the age. the clock moves freely and seems to be very old from the story my father in law said to me. this clock is about 11 x 5 x 12 in size. i looked this up and found nothing like it but found similar please give me as much info you know about this clock and also let me know how old it is. please do YOUR own research so you know what your buying from us. will come with free shipping and free insurance due to the shape its in. highest bid will win it. good luck

Gorgeous GARNITURE set from 1855 France. Super heavy and ornate. Art Nouveau time period. The candelabras measure 24" tall and have a gorgeous cut out. Pieced design. The stunning antique bronze French clock measures 20" tall by 11" wide by 7" deep. The clock has several markings. Stamps and numbers on the mechanism. I have the candelabras listed separately and there is a separate listing just for the clock if you're interested. This is a very heavy, very well made clock. The ornate motif and design resemble that of the Art Nouveau time period. The face is white, blue and black porcelain. The original key is included. The clock works and chimes beautifully, but doesn't keep correct time and just needs to be adjusted. Gilbert Clock Company was formed at Winsted, Conn. to succeed the Gilbert Manufacturing Company(1866-1871) which had been dissolved after a fire destroyed the factory. These firms had grown out of the clockmaking operations of William L. Gilbert(1806-890) who, since 1828, had been involved in various clockmaking partnerships in Bristol, Farmington and Winsted, Connecticut. In July of 1873. The new factory complex was completed and manufacturing commenced. George B. Owen(1834-1916) had come to Winsted in 1866 as General Manager and ran the firm for nearly 50 years, designing many interesting cases and patenting several clock movement features. Owen also operated a concurrent clock ... morebusiness at Winsted between 1875 and 1894. In 1897. The Gilbert firm built a four-story building for a new case shop and another building by 1900 for storage and shipping. A three-story office building was built in 1902. The recession, which began in 1907, along with the financial pressures of their recent expansion headed the firm in a decline that culminated by forcing George B. Owen and his sons to relinquish control in 1914 Bankruptcy and liquidation were barely avoided in 1914 and a new manager. Charles E. Williams, was appointed and served until his death in 1930, just a few months following the stock market crash. It is in working condition* Constructed from Gold Gilt Bronze and Green Onyx with Champlevés Enameled Panels. This antique 19 th century French Crystal Mantel Clock was sold by the S&G Gump Company of San Francisco. This store started in 1861 and is still has a store in San Francisco today. Measuring at the feet this 19 th century French Regulator Clock measures 5 ½” by 11” and the overall height is 13 ½” There are a few damaged areas on the beveled crystal panels. Green Onyx Columns and Gilt Bronze bases and capitalsm I didn’t notice it at first. But the bottom front piece of Onyx has some small filled holes from a missing enamel panel. GOOD LUCK! Up in this auction is a great antique clock from the late 1800's. This is an E. Ingraham Bristol. Conn kitchen/ mantle/ parlor/ shelf gingerbread alarm clock. We tested the clock and the chimes and it chimes the number of the hour and runs fine. It has a solid rosewood case, an etched ornate glass door. The face has yellowed with age and the brass trim has some oxidation. It measures approx. 20 3/4" high and 14 3/4" wide. This is a drop dead gorgeous clock. We found the following history on the clockguy site on the internet(GREAT SITE! E. Ingraham& Company was formed in 1860. Succeeding several earlier clock-manufacturing firms in which casemaker Elias Ingraham had been involved, notably Brewster& Ingrahams(1843-1852) E. A. Estate sale find! Beautiful antique Waterbury clock from the 1800's. Works! Has a key and it keeps perfect time. Chimes are lovely. Pendulum goes back and forth. It is 15 1/2" wide x 24 1/2" high x 4 1/2" deep. The gold decal is on the inside of the glass door. The door has a small working latch so the door can be secured. On the inside are instructions on how to care for the clock. It's in very good shape for its age. The last photo shows two pieces of wood on the top that are not included in its height and I have no idea why they are there. There is a partial label on the back. But most of it is gone and it provides no information about the age or model type of this clock. It weighs 11 pounds and will have to be packed carefully to insure that it reaches you in perfect condition. Questions gladly answered. Sold as ... moreis.
