FINE AMERICAN 8 DAY BRASS TALLCASE CLOCK MOVEMENT WITH ORIGINAL DIAL AND HANDS FINE AMERICAN 8 DAY BRASS TALLCASE CLOCK MOVEMENT WITH ORIGINAL DIAL AND HANDS This is an item that I have had for many years and have just decided it is time to sell it. Found just as you see it. This movement and dial have not been tampered with or altered. The, seatboard, dial, hands and movement are all original to each other. The seatboard has not been trimmed or cut. The blued steel hands have never been broken or repaired. The seconds hand is missing. I did not do any research to attempt to find the maker of this movement and I did not see a signature or shadow of one on the dial. The movement ticks and strikes with just a bit of finger pressure on the gear trains. The only item to note is that the gathering pallet is missing- a common occurrence and not ... moredifficult to solve. It comes with a pair of old but mismatched pulleys and the bell has a good tone. The seatboard is 13 ¼ inches wide. The dial is in very good condition with very little wear to the numerals and no paint loss. Note that it is quite dirty and the colors would really jump out after the dial was cleaned. It has never had any touch up work or other type of restoration. Notice that the upper dial foot is missing. This dial measures 12 inches wide and it is 16 ½ inches tall.
