I've owned this clock for a long time and always hoped to make whatever repairs it needs at some point but I simply don't have the time any longer.wish I did. It is a spectacular clock and frankly. Were it not for the cause listed below, it would remain our home; no doubt about it. This is a Japy Freres clock that was created in Paris France about 80 years ago. The clock case is made of gilded metal and depicts a hunter theme complete with the hunter, his bugle, and rifle, game, and an equally impressive Victorian lady to the right of the clock mechanism; very nice! ... moreI've never seen another like it nor is it likely I ever will again. The attention to detail is simply breathtaking! The enamel metal dial has a white backdrop and features black Roman numerals to mark the hours and metal hands to point out the time. There are two winding arbors on the dial as well as a fast/slow adjustment peg at the very top. The back is open and the mechanical, key wind, pendulum movement is intact inside. The movement works too and does keep time but just for a minute or two.sometimes longer but it eventually stops. The winding springs are fine, wind well, and are not broken that I can tell. It probably needs an adjustment or servicing and like I said, I wish I had the time. The clock chimes a single bell chime at the bottom of each hour and correctly chimes the current number of hours at the top of each hour. The clock comes complete as shown with a metal pendulum and winding key. Once it's repaired, remember, this is a very old clock so service it at least once every three years. Doing so will make a family heirloom of this unique clock. I've looked the clock over fairly well and find a few pieces that are chipped, a few missing pieces(I think)

The dial is the original. The pendulum is original, the. is original. you get the idea. Even the glass on the door is original. I do deal in antiques and collectibles. The metal is all solid and no damage other that a little spot on the top. There is a little rough spot, but we didn't even notice it the first time we went over the clock. We are selling this for a consignor and have had it running for the past few days- VERY accurate time and a lovely stately strike. Not sure ... moreif there is even another one like this available anywhere for sale, some are similar, but we didn't find this exact clock, so you should grab it up now while you can. The dial is appropriately signed- there is a scuff near the 6 as you can see in pics. It measures 10-1/2" tall x 4-7/16" deep x 9-1/2" wide. And it weighs in at 12 pounds 12 ounces. Offering a beautiful antique Seth Thomas Arch Top mantle clock. This circa 1880 spring driven clock strikes a gong for the hour. This lovely clock has a walnut case with burled walnut on front panel. Lower portion and rim around dial. The burl in lower section has some roughness. There is some minor chips to the veneer on lower front edge. This is barely noticeable. There is a chip in the lower right corner and inside corner(see photo. The original Seth Thomas movement has been cleaned. Adjusted and lubricated with synthetic clock lubricant. This movement is in very good operating condition. The original Seth Thomas Roman numeral dial is in very good condition. There is some paint loss near the holding screws and the winding arbors. Manufactured by The INGRAHAM Co. in Bristol, Connecticut around 1900, has all its original parts and they all work well. The original key winds the clock spring through one keyhole and winds the chimes through a second keyhole. An adjustment wheel on the clock face can be turned to speed up the clock or slow it down. Three decorative pillars. With faux marble at top and bottom. Frame both sides of the clock face. Delicately carved scrolling adorns the wood near the base and top. I start this clock and it run for a while and then stops but I didn't have it lever but it might need clean or some repair? But it did Chime on the 1/2 hour on the hour. It has some etc hing of some Birds and Flowers and some other stuff on the glass. It does have some small spots of paint on it and it is missing two brackets on the back that help holes the top on and has some dust on it just like I bought it. I didn't take the face off to get the date I seen it through the key hole I'm sure it is June 18. 1882. This is a vintage Hamilton 7 jewel. 8 day, brass skeleton clock. Hard to find in good, working condition! This was an estate find and I have been running it for the past two weeks and seems to be doing just fine. Keeping perfect time. It is in nice condition, runs smooth but it does have some wear/tarnishing in the brass on the top and sides. I did not try and polish or buff out, I will leave that for the buyer to do. I am guessing the it is from the late 60's or early 70s and was made in Germany. It's pretty small but has a little weight to it and is a very solid. Cool clock. It measures roughly 4" tall by 2 3/4" wide. It has a handle on the back for winding and also has the ability to adjust the fast/slow with a lever on the back. You are viewings a very nice old estate mantle clock that is over 100 years old. It has been running and chiming continuously until I allowed it to run down for shipment. Everything is original except the hinges on the door. They do not look as old as the clock. The faded card inside the clock identifies it as a Sessions from Forestville. CN. It has a soft, pleasant chime on the half hour and chimes out the full hour. The Sessions Clock Company was founded in 1903 and as far as I know switched to electric clocks in the 1930's and are still in business today.
