Here is an estate fresh massive bronze clock. It measures 15 inches tall. 12 inches wide and 8 inches deep. I dont know the weight, but I would guess 50 pounds or more. solid bronze, with griffins, ribbons and acorn decoration. I am no expert on antique clocks, my guess would be victorian late 19th century, probably French. I looked very carefully at the movement(which is all there and intact) and I cant find any markings. French Boulle Clock circa 1860 21 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide and 6 inches in depth. It is typical of the Boulle style that has inlaid with brass and tortoise shell as veneers. as found condition” and has 95% of the inlay intact. The ormolu adornments are fire-gilded brass and are all original. The dial is repousse brass that has individual porcelain fired cartouches. The has been hand fashioned. The pendulum is a cast brad“starburst” that is original to the piece. The movement. Which is an 8 day movement, has an imprint of a medal won in competition. Signed inside on verso of enamel panel but I would have to take apart the clock to see the maker's name which is only partially visible in a florid script(having very little knowledge of clocks I have not attempted this) This clock appears to be in good working order and in very good condition save for a very small chip in the rear crystal panel upper right corner. The front crystal occasionally pops out and needs to be snapped in again. The key looks like a later English replacement as the clock is French. Fantastic 19th Century Antique French Empire Onyx& Gilt Bronze Clock Case Fresh out of a local estate and up for bids is this fantastic white onyx clock case with gilt bronze applied decorations. This piece dates to sometime around the mid 19th Century. The case measures approx 10.5" tall(not including the finial) and is 9" wide at the base. It weighs a hefty 16 lbs. The gilt bronze work is superb featuring full three dimensional serpentine stylized birds of prey. Some work has been done to the clock. The original movement was removed and replaced with a modern day battery operated quartz movement. The hands have also been replaced. The case is in overall very good condition with no chips or cracks but the top adornment has separated and needs to be reattached. What might appear to be a crack in the case is simply the natural ... morevariegation of the color of the stone. There are four holes at each corner of the top where there was some type of bronze decoration at one time. The rear door glass is cracked. 19TH CENTURY FRENCH CLOCK GARNITURE This 3 piece clock garniture set is being sold for the estate of an owner who had displayed the set since 1996 when it came into her possession. There is a note taped to the bottom of one of the candleholders that reads"Given to me 10/96 by my mother. who bought at a flea market in Paris in 1956. The piece dates from the 1830s" The clock stands 21" high and 12" across at base. The 2 columns are decorated with birds and flowers and are supported by full figure elephants. The clock is formed as a temple gong and features birds. Flowers and butterflies. I assume the enamel technique is champleve, rather than cloisonne but I do not have expertise to tell the difference. The clock hands are in the form of a dragon. There is a stamped award medallion on the face of the movement. I have included ... morea picture but you will see that part of the medallion is unreadable but I can make out"Med d’Honneur. which may refer to Japy Frerres, according to internet research. There is also a stamped number"A 20734" and on the inside of the door is an engraved number"98301" and a letter or numeral at end that I can't make out. Also etched on the inside of the door is"MJ 12-48" The clock weighs over 15#s. The candleholders stand about 18" high and each has 3 fonts. The columns are decorated with birds, flowers and butterflies and are supported by the heads of 4 elephants. The top of each column features a foo dog. Each candleholder weighs 5#s. Condition: This set is in remarkable condition for being over 150 years old! The clock is not running. I did attempt to wind it with the key that goes with it but it seemed tight so I did not make any further attempt. There was household dust present on all the units which I wiped off with a cloth but there is still dust in the crevices. The metal is dull in places except for the inside of the back clock cover which is bright and gold in color. The enamel columns are dull in places but I did use a dam

This Napoleon III Period mantel clock features a winged figural in a flowing garb turning to pour oil into a lamp resting on a cylindrical pedestal as it's feet are gently rested over a Greco-Roman footstool. The detailed and precise casting is exemplary, each feather of the wing both on the front and back carefully chased and filed into the surface, the face of the figure impeccable; even the more difficult attributes of hair and the surface variation of the garment is captured with photographic quality. The footstool is of perfect realism. The acanthus motifs and lion's paw feet executed with great skill. The complexity of the cast is self evident, with additional mounted ... moreembellishments of torchieres on the pedestal, repeating acanthus bordering the bottom and a wonderful display of arrows and a quiver of arrows inside a laurel wreath that flows outward into snake bodies with flumes of twisting ribbon furling about as the centermost presentation of the case. Antique 19th century French gilt bronze figural mantel clock is an aesthetically pleasing antique time piece. 1880's) The inscribed Blondeau á Houdan figural clock has an ornately decorated bronze and alabaster footed base with a small round clock resting to its left and a brass female Fileuse. Or yarn spinner, leaning upon it. The female is dressed in a square bonnet, pulled back curls, and a ruffled bustle dress with a loosely tied corset. Her dress is ankle length, a vulgar attire at the time, indicating she was of the working class. She holds a spool in one hand while drawing out string in the other. The clock is all original with a pendulum and turn key is included. Key is not original. Clock Measures approx. 14 1/2" wide x 13 3/4" tall x 5 1/4' deep.
