This is an amazing French Portico All Marble Mantle Clock Set. This clock was made in the 1860's- 1890's in France out of the highest quality marble. And bronze decorations. All the bronze pieces were hand gilded with Gold leaf, and every piece you see on this clock is 100% original to the piece, and in 100% original condition. No one has ever attempted to restore it, or re-finish it, which is a VERY rare find with these clocks. The marble is beautiful with white, pink and grays throughout. All marble pieces are also in amazing condition and 100% original to the clock. Included are the two original urns for the clock, there is some stress damage to the bottom most and top most metal pieces from 120+ years of being used, but there solid(See pictures) You usually do not see the original garnets with one of these clocks, most of the ... moretime during the years the clock becomes separated with it's urns, or the urns get destroyed. But these are the original matches to this clock, both marked underneath in the marble with the phrase"Made in France" in the same writing as the clock. One urn has a small crack in the small topmost piece of marble, it's stable, and unnoticeable. The clock itself is absolutely amazing, with 6 tall columns of marble, and the portico style free swinging pendulum in the shape of a basket of fruit, which matches perfectly with the other baskets of fruit on both the urns, and the clock itself. There are two gilded trays on each side of the dial, in beautiful condition, a unique and expensive feature for these clocks. Stings of garland string from one side to the other in the middle of the clock with beautiful gold gilding. The dial is hand painted porcelain with flowers and marked"France" there is a small knick around one of the winding arbors, as to be expected with antique clocks. The prominent French sculpteur-ornemaniste, Frédéric-Eugène Piat, left a considerable body of work, principally designs and models for a vast array of clocks, appliques, lampes, candelabras and torchères. Such designs were executed by many of the most reputable firms of Parisian bronziers, among them Christofle, Colin, Lemerle-Charpentier, Motteau and Maison Millet. Antique French figural slate mantle clock 19th
This French mantle clock is made of slate and has a woman carrying a basket on the top. The woman appears to be made of spelter. The clock is 15 inches high. 7 ¼ inches wide and 5 ¾ inches deep. There is an Eastlake style design on the case. The clock has a porcelain face with roman numerals on it for the hours. The face is signed but it has a lot of wear and we can’t read it. The front door has beveled glass. The clock dates circa 1880. The clock is currently running but we cannot guarantee it will still be running after shipment. The movement has the number 363 on it but does not have a maker. The bell has two nuts on it to hold it in place that are not original. There are a couple of tiny chips to the slate case. There is a very tiny chip to the porcelain by the right hole used to crank the clock.

Here is an estate fresh massive bronze clock. It measures 15 inches tall. 12 inches wide and 8 inches deep. I dont know the weight, but I would guess 50 pounds or more. solid bronze, with griffins, ribbons and acorn decoration. I am no expert on antique clocks, my guess would be victorian late 19th century, probably French. I looked very carefully at the movement(which is all there and intact) and I cant find any markings. Beautiful Verre Eglomise French early 19th century barometer. Signed"Dubois Opticiens A Rheims" The outer glass is broken into three pieces and the inner painted and gilt glass is cracked. The outer hand is off but has not been lost. Aside from the painting and gilding on the glass there is crinkled silver foil behind transparent red glazing in parts of the painting. Very nice work and the painting is in good condition considering the rest of the piece. The dimensions are 29 1/2 high by 17 wide by 3 inches deep. The beautiful frame has anthemion with swans and scrolls and has some significant losses and the barometer mechanism in the back is. For the most part, gone as I show in the photos. This came from a New Jersey estate where I was told it works and includes its pendulum and key which I show in my last photo. It has been hanging in this home as a decoration. Not wound in years and I don't dare fiddle with it as I am not a clock expert. This has beautiful gold solid bronze ornate leaf with berry decoration and measures 25" high X 12" wide.
