This is a vintage wood case clock with Westminster chimes. Clock is unmarked but closely resembles German clocks. Works are marked W 8 C& have 5 tones. Clock door has convex glass and a nicely detailed metal surround. There are three winding mechanisms on face. Key is included. Case measures about 23" X 5" X 9" tall. A pendulum is missing from the works. Case is in good condition excepting some loss of lacquer finish.

For your Consideration is a Beautiful 19th Century Victorian Mantle Clock. Stamped June 18. 1882 Ansonia Clock Co. New York USA on the inside and stamped on the back Royal Bonn Germany 1755 La Fontaine. This clock was found in Gettysburg. Pa at a cataloged estate auction. This Clock works wonderfully and is an 8 Day clock with a chime on the hour and half hour. Beautiful Turquoise Blue and white Porcelain adorn with pink, purple and white flowers. Accented with a gold trim. Above the clock face I see a white area where I would think I see blue. May be a rub mark from opening the front glass door. see photo 8. It is smooth to touch. I see no chips just normal age fine crazing on the back. The back door is brass and shows normal tarnish from age. Inside wonderfully clean with date and maker inside. Unusual Victorian Figural Miniature Silverplate Cherub Clock
Up for bid is a lovely. Delicate, figural silverplate cherub clock, miniature in size, and of unknown origin and manufacture. I cannot find a maker anywhere on this piece though it may be on the inside of the clock though I haven't taken the clock apart to see. It stands just under 5 inches tall and is just under 3.25" inches wide at its widest points. It is NOT in working condition but because it's in such great shape otherwise, I assume it could be easily made to work. I wish the pictures had turned out better- the piece is far better than the pictures. The clock case is clearly shown in the photos- It features a daring. Dancing full-figure winged cherub holding a bow in one hand, an arrow in the other. Running down the sides of the rounded part of the case are decorative elements on both sides. The face is protected by glass and sitting on top of the clock is a bale making it look as if the clock is removable from the case. I don't know that it can be removed- I gently tried and it fits very tightly and I didn't want to try and force it if in fact, it isn't supposed to be removed. I've had and collected many clocks over the years- I seldom see these decorative miniature clocks. Never one this interesting. I normally deal in antique porcelain and am stepping very far afield from my knowledge base and expertise in presenting to you today this very impressive three part garniture by this excellent maker. I have taken many pictures and will take more upon request and I will not presume to tell the potential buyer to much about this piece as you would be more expert in knowledge than I will be. A rare ca 1880 Victorian Eastlake style rose gilt cast bronze(I think. Could be brass, doesn't attract a magnet) 7 1/4" clock pendulum with a 1 1/4" in diameter sulphide glass insert with red and white pinwheel center design. The pendulum is 2 1/4" at the widest. The glass medallion rises 1/4" from the rim of the embossed surround. The piece above the pendulum slides up and down the post. Not sure what that's for. It is unsigned. Beautifully crafted Folk Art Clock from the estate of Thomas Garland renowned English painter that resided in Pen Argyl. PA. This Gorgeous and Large Old German Black Forest Hand Carved"Hunter" theme Cuckoo clock that plays two lovely Old Musical tunes was found at a recent private estate sale along with several other old Cuckoo clocks. Please view the pictures below) This Black Forest Cuckoo clock was totally deep carved in a dimensional look showing"life like" details in all the animals and beautifully hand painted in Forest color hues. The clock is very impressive in size with measurements of 21" from top of Stag's antlers to bottom of the pendulum and 12" wide at the widest point.Really Magnificent) There are many wonderful carvings and other items that catch your eye. So I will start at the top mentioning the large carved Stag's head displayed on a arrow shaped plaque at the very top peak of the clock. The Stag has very ... morelarge antlers and accented on both sides with hand carved and colorful Elm leaves and tree branches. He even has Glass inlaid eyes. The center of the clock is completely framed with more of the Elm leaves and branches with a Hunter's pouch complete with caring straps. At the bottom. This piece was carved from a single piece of wood(Incredible) On both sides of the center piece are displayed the Hunter's catch of the day. A carved Glass eyed Pheasant bird on the right and a Glass eyed Rabbit on the left.The face is easy to read with Roman numerals done in White, marked"Germany" at the bottom and framed with a circular Hunter's horn also caved from wood. The hands are also decorative in design. The movement is one of the finest German quality ever made. It was created from solid Brass and also marked"Germany" The movement is powered by three pine cone shaped metal weights that hang on Brass chains beneath the clock.
