Several large before& after restoration pictures below! Beautifully restored vintage. Circa 1950 ALPINE brand skis. Be assured that they look as good or better than the after pics below! Be sure to scroll down the whole way to see the restored"AFTER" pics! The pics really don't do them justice! These skis would look great above the fireplace mantle or on the wall in your mountain cabin. Ski house or lodge. I found these at an estate sale in an old barn along with another pair I restored that I have listed right now. Rich, warm, wood tones would go very well with most decor. They are circa 1950 skis, serial number 823 and the length is 6' 11" The brand name is ALPINE with Dovre-Kabel bindings. They were covered in dirt and dust and the hardware was tarnished and had started to rust in many places. I really liked that a good bit of the original paint remained and that the owner had painted his initials on the tails of the skis so. I decided to restore these and keep them as original as possible but make them look really sharp. I removed all the hardware and sanded the wood with fine grit paper. Removing some of the finish and grime but, being careful to retain what was left of the original paint scheme. Someone years ago had recoated them with varnish and I removed most all of that. I then sprayed them with several coats of hi-gloss lacquer which I hand-rubbed between coats. This brought them back to life, yet retained their vintage paint scheme, look and the majority of the original finish and paint. All the metal hardware. Original screws included, was then sanded, steel wooled and polished, which took several hours. The bottoms of the skis were sanded and sealed with three sealer coats, keeping the original paint on the bottoms. In all, I spent about 8 or 9 hours plus materials restoring them so, most of the pric

You are bidding on an antique New Haven clock. This clock was purchased from an estate sale from Los Gatos. California. The base of the clock is made from wood I believe to be painted black. It has beautiful engravings on the side and base. The back has a circle opening which gives you access to the working parts of the clock and the pendulum swing. It does come with 3 keys, two large ones and a small one. The clock works and has a beautiful chime when it hits the hour, and half hour. The wood is chipped in some spots and the face has some cracking. The paint also seems worn down a bit. It is from my own personal collection and is one of the nicer clocks in my collection. I have owned the clock for a while and now it is time for another very lucky person to own and enjoy it as I have. The clock was made in the 1850- 1899 era in Paris. France by the celebrated Master Clockmaker Hry Marc. Hry Marc clocks are rare because of their quality and scarceness and when you see one for sale that you just love it is the time to buy it! It is in true superb mint condtion and there are no issues with the clock I can find whatsoever. The wood this clock is made from is just gorgeous! It is African rain forest wood and it can no longer be acquired because the international ... morerules and regulations protecting the rain forests prohibit the removal of the wood from the rain forest where it still exists. Just look at the pictures which show the beautiful exotic grains of this wood. AMAZING! When someone sees this clock displayed in your home they will first comment on the beauty of the wood and then notice the quality of the clock. Anyone who knows anything about French clocks knows Hry Marc clocks are certainly prized possessions and this one in particular shows the mastery of Hry Marc! It has an 8 day French movement(of course with the Hry Marc name on the back plate) which runs and strikes flawlessly on it's original silver bell as long as you leave this clock alone and do not move it around from place to place. It likes to live it one place and one place only and unless you are willing to retime the movement over and over again every time you move it find the spot for it to be displayed and leave it there. It does not have to be retimed when you wind the movement- only if you move it to another location but it may need to be retimed from the rigors of shipping. A beautiful Victorian clock is up for your consideration. This must have been one exquisite clock when it was brand new as the beauty still shows. It was made by the Gilbert Clock Co. out of Winsted. Conn. USA. There is a paper sticker on the back which reads L. J. Diehl Jeweler and Optician and a pencil mark which reads either 1914 or 1915. This may have been the place of purchase or may have been there for maintenance or repair. On the bottom of the clock is a paper sticker as well which tells the manufacturer and the word FRANCE which may be the style name. The clock is large and heavy measuring 15-1/2" long at the base, stands 11-1/2" and the depth is 6" The clock is made primarily of black wood with a maroon marble color wood both above and below the pillars in front. It has brass legs, pillar trim, side handles and the ... moretrim around the clock face. There is scroll work on the front bottom and hopefully you can see that in the third picture. The clock will run for a couple minutes and stop, maybe it has been over wound. It does ding once on the half hour and dongs on the hour, two times for two o'clock, three times for three o'clock and so on. The clock mechanism itself looks fine and reads Gilbert Clock Co. and there is a 1905 imprint, perhaps the year it was made. Following is the information provided to me about it at the time I purchased it from him. The general condition is quite good with areas of ageing as to be expected for such an old time piece. The Glass Window is in fine condition. I was told that the lower panel is painted. But I’m really not sure if it is painted or if it is some sort of beautiful decal because it is applied from the inside of the glass. When you touch it with door open, you can feel it. Regardless, it is really lovely! The Pendulum and Key are original. The Dealer based the Clock’s age on two facts. First that he feels that the Dial is Painted. I think the face is probably Tin or maybe some other Metal. He told me that the Painted Dial was a rare art which stopped at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. Also. There is some sort of‘scribble’ at the bottom that seems to read 4 05. I also see the letter“M” so perhaps it is either the maker or artist’s signature. I really do not know. Up for auction is a fantastic antique New Haven clock in a handmade wood Tramp Art case. Very fine. Intricate detail. Cathedral form with four spires, pierced and layered detail throughout, checkered roof. Dial appears to be celluloid with a brass bezel. Beautiful workmanship. In good condition with small areas of damage here and there. The tip top of the clock is chipped on both front and back, two of the protrusions along the top are chipped, one chip to the front under the dial, one chip to the scalloped edge bordering the dial, looks like one repair to the pierced area below the dial to the lower left, one split to the roof, one chip to the roof, one chip to the top corner of the openwork near the back spire, other normal signs of age. Up for auction is an antique Sessions temple style mantle or shelf clock in a medium toned wood. This clock is 10 3/4 in. high. 15 1/2 in. wide and 6 1/4 in. deep. The face is marked Made By The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. The movement is marked similarly. The pendulum is marked with an S. This attractive looking clock runs and keeps good time. It gongs on the hour and the bell rings on the half hour. There is some light scratching on the center of the glass door. The back door isn't all original and the side handles are missing. Up for auction is a beautiful antique early 20th century Waltham carved wood clock. Clock winds at the top and swivels. Metal dial with raised numbers and filigree hands. It is in good condition with minor wear to some of the edges and light signs of age to the dial. Vintage antique-style mantle clock, solid wood, 1940's American-made
Mantle hard wood clock. Probably walnut. this clock was hand made a a clock master form original parts, so there is no commercial label on it. The chimes work, and one of the wooden circular feet is missing. The clock is in working condition and the chimes work, although the time needs to be calibrated. this clock probably was made in the early 40’s, American made. It is a mechanical movement clock, not battery operated. Needs TLC. It has scratches and flaws as noticed in the photos and is sold as is in it’s original condition. Good luck in your bidding!

Antique NEW HAVEN MANTLE CLOCK Vintage Wood Case Shelf Tambour 1920's Art Deco
New Haven Mantle Clock This is a gorgeous old New Haven clock with a lovely shape. The latest patent date on the clock mechanisms is 8-14-23. This clock has a rich. Dark finished wood case. I believe the clock face is metal. There are three positions on the clock face for winding as well as the chime. The face is marked Chime Silent in addition to the New Haven mark on the lower part of the face. There is a key included, it is from Germany. A pendulum is also included. I consider the clock body and face to be in quite nice condition. The only alteration that I see is that it looks like someone may have used a very small nail to hold the hands on the clock. I have tested this. The clock keeps time and chimes. The chimes have a nice sound to them, it's not too gongy and loud. There are some very minor scratches on the case and the front ... morehas a mark where it looks like someone may have left a piece of tape on it for awhile. The glass door on the front opens and closes well in addition to the door on the back. This measures approximately 20.5" long. 9.5" tall and 5.75" deep. The pendulum and the key will be individually wrapped. I will place some bubble wrap against the face of the clock inside the door. This will be double boxed to avoid trauma during transit. RARE ANSONIA AMERICAN 19th CENTURY WOOD MANTLE CLOCK Offering for sale is a rare antique Ansonia mantle clock. The clock works fine; the face is enamel in great condition. Just a minor, very superficial crack on it. It has a wonderful chime sound, but the winding keys are missing, which you can be easily found online, at a reasonable inexpensive cost. It measures about 12 ¾” and its base measures 8” long by 4 1/8” deep. The front glass cover of the face opens, as well as the back door. In general, the clock is in good condition with marks on the wood, consistent with the age and use of this magnificent piece. Up for auction is an excellent antique 19th century Seth Thomas mantle clock. Solid ebony wood with an intricate inlay pattern which looks like maple or possibly metal with subtle gold flecks. Gold ormolu bronze feet. Finial, and border ornaments. Chimes on the hour and half hour. Comes with a key. Clock is in very good condition with some minor surface wear, some discoloration to the front bottom. Missing the pendulum, but clock seems to be working just fine. It is ticking and chiming, but it has not been fully tested. It is an estate purchase and has not been serviced. Please see photos carefully for details. German Key-Wind Brass Mantle Clock with wood stand - Circa 1970 (?)
Know nothing about this clock- except the obvious; Made in Germany sticker on the back. And printed on face on clock(bottom center edge) Key set and wind. But missing the key Fairly certain the clock's case is solid brass- looks. Feels, weights, and does not react to a magnet. Although the back piece where there is a'peep hole' I am not sure it that is solid or not. Must have been given as a Company Premium since it has a bronze medallion of- what I think- is a company logo. I always displayed the clock with that to the back since both sides of the walnut base are finished. My guess is it is from the 70's. But certainly just a guess. Vintage ART DECO SESSIONS CLOCK Mantle? Piece Brass & Wood...Restoration Project
On offer I have an old vintage SESSIONS CLOCK Piece.Made in U.S.A. In poor condition. Not working, good for restoration project or parts. Looks like it was the frontpiece of a Mantle or Column clock? Found as-is.Clock has been sitting in an old factory loft for 40 years or more and is very dusty and marked. Glass front is there in good condition. No chips or cracks. Brass rim around clock face and glass. Clock is mounted on a very art deco decorative wooden board. Two holes in front for key wind, no key with it unfortunately. I'm not an expert and I don't know if movement is complete so please see photos for a closer look at parts. Decorative wooden board measures 18.5cm long. 16.5cm high and glass face measures 14cm across. Postage will depend on your postcode or Pick-Up is fine. Any questions please email me.
