This has a glass front case over the clock face and double key wind. The marks on the inside are Made In Germany in wood under the mechanism and a Germany. German Third Reich Eagle& Swastika stamped into the front metal of the piece. I tried to show the best pic of the mark. I have no idea of the maker, but certainly a different mark than I have ever come across. This does work. Pendulum is in perfect condition and this has the key as well. Antique NEW HAVEN MANTLE CLOCK Vintage Wood Case Shelf Tambour 1920's Art Deco
New Haven Mantle Clock This is a gorgeous old New Haven clock with a lovely shape. The latest patent date on the clock mechanisms is 8-14-23. This clock has a rich. Dark finished wood case. I believe the clock face is metal. There are three positions on the clock face for winding as well as the chime. The face is marked Chime Silent in addition to the New Haven mark on the lower part of the face. There is a key included, it is from Germany. A pendulum is also included. I consider the clock body and face to be in quite nice condition. The only alteration that I see is that it looks like someone may have used a very small nail to hold the hands on the clock. I have tested this. The clock keeps time and chimes. The chimes have a nice sound to them, it's not too gongy and loud. There are some very minor scratches on the case and the front ... morehas a mark where it looks like someone may have left a piece of tape on it for awhile. The glass door on the front opens and closes well in addition to the door on the back. This measures approximately 20.5" long. 9.5" tall and 5.75" deep. The pendulum and the key will be individually wrapped. I will place some bubble wrap against the face of the clock inside the door. This will be double boxed to avoid trauma during transit. This is an antique Sessions mantel tambour clock. It measures 9.5" wide by 5" high. The dial is about 2.5" diameter. It is an 8-day windup clock(not electric) As can be seen it includes a second hand. The case is mahogany and has been cleaned and polished. Although not perfect the finish is very good with a pleasing lustre that makes the clock most attractive. The movement has been dismantled. Cleaned, pivots polished and reassembled. It has also been lightly oiled. Although the clock goes for a few days it does NOT keep good time. Running several minutes slow each day after being wound. The back plate cover is also missing as you can see from the photo. This does not affect its running but it means the movement is not as firmly fixed in the wood case as it would otherwise be. The dial is in excellent condition for its age. ... moreWith all the numbers and lettering in place as they should be. There is a little very light scratching near the numerals 2 and 3 but this is only visible on very close inspection. I have endeavoured to give an accurate and honest description of its condition. Together with photos that show its appearance. The clock needs work to make it work fully and accurately. An identical clock in full working order was recently on eBay for $198. Antique Telechron Mantel Clock. Art Deco- Tambour Style. This Telechron Clock is in good to very good condition. It does have minimal wear. On wood and brass bezel ring. The wood clock case features sweeping graceful lines and is rather sharp. Classical looking with it's floral Art Deco Relief Ornament on the front. The dial is an ivory colored metal dial with black Arabic numerals. Dial is marked General Electric/Telechron. Overall dial appears to be in very good condition with some tiny flaking on both sides. Close to bezel ring. Its a tiny area and is pretty much unnoticeable because of its location so close to the brass bezel ring. Bezel ring is in good condition with a few minor dings, nothing major. It measures 22 inches long. 10 inches tall, and is 6 inches deep. The face is brass tone metal with black arabic numerals, and a chime silencer over the 12. The some of the number is wearing on the face, but it is otherwise in excellent condition. The feet are missing. The brass framed crystal is domed and like the face, is also in excellent condition. The finish is original. I do not know if this works because I do not have a key. The hands are off but are still with the clock and are in good condition. There are areas on the outer edges ... morewhere the wood is separating at the joints. The pieces are dove tail joined. Pictured) The face is marked Germany(worn off) It has 5-bar chimes that may either be Westminster or Sonora. I don't know Euorpean woods.
