Pair of black marble Garnitures c. 1910 measuring approximately 4.5” square(at the base) and 8.5” tall and weigh about 4 lbs. each. They are in the style of the Pantheon with Roman pillars. Each are the same but the statues are depicting different subjects. They look to be for an Ansonia clock. There are some minor chips only on the bases. One statue is sitting on a replacement base but not really obvious and one could use some tightening. Overall I would say the condition is pretty good. Description This is a stunning superb Antique French clock. garniture set made by F Marty in Paris in late 19th century. Clock and garnitures have beautiful green onyx base and made of high quality metal with beautiful dark tone polished finish to it. The clock is featuring lovely female figurine with soft drapings around. The scene looks like a woman receiving a letter or a love message from the bird. There are scrolls all over with gilt highlights and roses. The figuring is in superb condition having everything intact so are the garnitures. The garnitures have wide size holding cups and will suit a larger size candles and will look superb. The holding cups are gilt painted and in a great condition as you can see from the pictures. VINTAGE CANDLE HOLDERS/MANTLE CLOCK GARNITURES
These vintage candle holders come from a local estate auction.The previous owner was sort of a pack rat as his whole house was loaded from top to bottom with all kinds of items.These candle holders were setting on a dresser in the basement.I have been told they may belong with a mantle clock or come from a church.None of the heirs knew anything about them.I did not find any clock that would go along with these candle holders.I am not an expert on this kind of item so you bidders be the judge as to what these candle holders may have been used for.As you can see in the photos each one has a round tip missing from the candle holder at the top center.The metal parts look to be made of brass as a magnet does not stick to it and have no other damage and are tight.The holders hold a 1" in diameter candle.The bases look to have a marble like ... morematerial attached to a porcelain type center.The candle holders stand 11 3/4" tall.The metal part is 8 1/4" wide at the center.The bases are 4" by 3 1/4" by 2"There is no maker's mark on the holders.You are bidding on these candle holders as is.

This absolutely Gorgeous 19th Century French Louis XVI style mantle clock with Garniture was found a recent private estate sale(Please view the pictures below) This clock set has it all. The clock's overall height is approx. 16 1/2" from top of final to bottom of legs with a marble base width of 10" and dept of 4/12" The clock and Garnitures was beautifully designed in the Louis XVI empire style consisting of a lovely Pinkest colored Marble with grains of White and burgundy. The clock is held in the air by six Marble Columns attached with polished Brass end caps on both ends and lovely Floral designed finals at the top. The clock's and Garnitures Marble bases are supported with spiral Bass legs. The top of the six columns is a polished Brass plate the finals stand on. The face and movement are displayed in a Brass cylinder ... moreaccent with a lovely embossed floral arrangement at the bottom and basket of flowers at the top. The top pieces has two side accents with Peacock's heads on the ends and displayed on a matching Marble base. The face of the clock is protected behind a dome glass panel that is framed with a designed Brass frame and trim. The face was created from White Porcelain and numbered in Black Arabic script. There is a lovely circular center design depicting Pink. Red and Green flowers. The bottom of the face is marked"France" The Garnitures stand approx. 11 3/4" tall with a base diameter of 3 3/4" They were also created from the lovely grained Marble is a design of a Vase with polished Brass bottoms and tops displaying more of the embossed floral arrangements. The sides have Swan headed Griffins that created the handles for the Vases. They also are displayed on footed Marble bases. The movement is of the finest France quality. This flamboyant clock with it's Marley Horse style figurine and garnitures is very eye catching and something of a thing of beauty. Please see the photographs. On close inspection it looks to be a well selected and ensemble of figurines with the feet on the garnitures a match with those on the clock, with the Marley Horse has been added later on. It has all aged with an even patina, it is very old and has been repaired in places and has the left hand horseman's sword blade and the Marley horse's front left hoof missing, but these minor imperfections are hidden by the overall majesty and dynamic of the piece. The clock is British made but has a German HAC movement ... morein full working order. It will be tested and. Where necessary, cleaned and oiled before dispatch. The movement has a balance wheel that does not need putting on beat. The clock face and chapter ring are in good condition with lovely hands and good clear black numbers. Behind a brass bezel and bevelled glass, please see the photographs. There is also a glass at the rear of the clock showing the bell. Overall this is a striking and very fine timepiece. This is a beautiful Clock. It's a gold/yellow solid marble with a black marble inlay. Late 1800's early 1900's. Clock it's self weighs 31 lb. Clock is 17 1/2 wide. 11 1/2 tall. Garnitures are 5 1/2 wide and 8 1/4 tall. Clock keeps perfect time. It has 1 very small chip on both corners. But is not noticeable. I have searched and can not find another like it. I was surprised to find these two curved pieces pull out and become the keys to wind the signed Etienne Maxant Brevete Paris works. I was not able to find any other examples of these American patented, attached keys. The bronze base measures 7 ½” by 13 ½” between the feet and the height to the top of the small framed portrait painting is 21” There is a gallery around the top of this clock that would allow you to display something small and there are detailed cast bronze columns at the corner. Inset into the base and on either side of the slate front are small hand painted porcelain vignettes. In the close-up photographs of the left and right painting you will see a curved crack. This is the only physical problem with this circa-1880s Aesthetic Clock Set. The corners of the molded slate case are perfect and all the gilded bronze mounts are original. In the middle of the slate face is another porcelain painting with gilded Roman Numerals, the original hands and beveled glass crystal. Both springs are in very good condition and wound tight. The clock mechanism is missing but has been removed without causing any damage. This gives two choices for the main piece- 1) find a clock mechanism that fits and install that or, 2) use it purely as an ornamental, decorative piece. A small candle inside would look really nice. The matching garnitures are in equally good condition and are hollow so would make ideal vases for small flowers. One of them has the lightest of surface cracks in the glaze(you can just feel it) this is more patina than damage. The light peach colour would look amazing in a bright room.
