Antique HENRY MARC FRENCH Ormolu SEVRES Porcelain PUTTI CLOCK Cherub Brass Gilt Offered for sale is this beautiful antique French gilt metal clock. It ... morewas made by Henry Marc of Paris. The putti are taking birds from the nest at their feet. The open cage sits next to them. The two Sevres style porcelain panels also feature putti or cherubs with birds. I am not a clock expert so please bear with me. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. I hung the pendulum where I thought it should go and the clock did not run very long. Please email me if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. CONDITION: There are some rubs and tarnish to the finish. I haven't tried cleaning the clock. I don't see any repairs or damage. In the photos. You can see what looks like some"separations" in the metal but it is not damage- some pieces were cast separately. Please see the close up pictures for the best description of the cosmetic condition. Beautifully modelled and finished in glorious ormolu(finely gilded bronze or doré bronze) It is of balloon form with bold scrolls and acanthus swags. To the top a large rococo flourish. The front and sides have sound frets backed with red velvet. We have carefully and completely cleaned and restored the clock to a very high standard. The large and stunning dial is enamel on copper and is complete with it's original finely fretted gilt brass hands and convex bezel. The bezel is marked for the retailer Charles Hour. The French movement is of high quality and has the makers mark on the movement backplate of Louis Japy. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker and thoroughly tested before presenting it for sale. Pendulum is original. Antique large wood case Waterbury mantel clock. I running condition. Clock movement has Bell strike on the half hour and gong strike at the top of the hour for the appropriate amount of hours. Bell strike is sharp and crisp, gong hour strike is deep and mellow. Clock case is in solid condition with a few nicks and scuffs denoting age. Back door has a bit of wear. Clock dial paper appears to be original, and has a few watermarks. Clock has been running and keeping good time for the last few weeks. Black painted wood case, with nice intricate brass legs and accents. I had to make a key for the clock, that has the correct wind and time adjustment fittings. Clock measures 15 3/5 inches wide, 5 7/8th inches deep, 11 1/2 inches tall. Clock might require some adjustment after shipping. Antique Seth Thomas Rosewood Adamantine Strike Chime Clock, Running & Nice
Click Here. Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery- Now FREE! This auction is for a nice antique SETH THOMAS adamantine mantle clock which is the ALTO model from 1921. The case is 16 1/4" wide. 9 1/2" tall and 5 1/8" deep. This clock was produced in two different colors and this one is the rosewood shade. The bezel is brass and is clean and polished. The clock has a painted dial. The dial background is white with black Arabic numerals and it says SETH THOMAS above the hands and MADE IN U.S.A. at the bottom under the"6" The movement is a SETH THOMAS#89 movement and it's stamped as such on the lower right of the back plate. It also has the ST logo. This is an 8-day spring-driven mechanical movement that strikes once on the half hour on a cathedral gong mounted in the bottom of the case. Then it strikes the appropriate ... morenumber on the hours. Now as to condition, it's very nice for an old clock like this. The case is nice but does have some minor chips in the adamantine on the corners. The worst is the back left edge of the base and that's about 1/4" Please see the pictures as I've tried to photograph the edges to give you an idea. The dial is nice and not washed out from use or someone trying to clean it improperly like some are. It does have a little bit of soiling mostly around the winding arbor holes(please see pictures) The glass crystal is held in by two brass keepers that are soldered onto the inside of the bezel. One is missing, but the one that's still there seems to hold the glass in with no problem. They're easy to replace. The hands don't match and I'm not sure which is the original so please see the pictures to make your determination. Movement-wise, it's running well and keeping pretty good time. The strike also works well. The movement looks pretty good and doesn't have much wear. Also, it hasn't been abused but could most likely stand a cleaning. This is a lovely clock in nice condition that would fit in with about any period dec

This antique Ansonia clock runs well and chimes the hour and strikes once on the half. The case is nice. It is iron, and the movement is in great shape. Offered is an example of a c. 1880 walnut parlor clock made by the E. Ingraham Company of Bristol. Connecticut for Boyce Brothers of Washington Street, Boston, MA. It was common practice for large stores to have their label pasted on the back of a clock made by one of the major Connecticut manufacturers. The movement is marked Ingraham and in perfect condition. All the components are typical of Ingraham such as the hands glass pattern and the dial pan. The clock strikes the hours on a gong as is typical of this period. Waterbury Walnut Parisian Parlor Clock, 8 day&strike, Fancy Pendulum, Running
Offered is a walnut parlor clock made by the Waterbury Clock Company of Waterbury. CT. c.1880's. This style of tear drop clock is known as the Parisian and was made by several other American clock companies. The clock has an 8 day movement which strikes the hours only on a wire gong. The movement is excellent condition and has been cleaned and oiled. The fancy pendulum has a glass insert which is similar to pendulums used by E.N. Welch in their premier line of parlor clocks. The 5" dial is original and is painted on a zinc pan and in excellent condition considering its age. The clock is 231/2" in height and 13" at the base. Clock will be fully insured and packed for safe delivery.

Antique Morbier or Comtoise Wall Clock with lead(or iron) weights and a grape harvest motif. The clock strikes the number of hours upon the hour. And then again two minutes past the hour on a top-mounted bell. I am told that this was to remind the faithful(or forgetful) to say their hourly prayers. It strikes once on the half hour. This clock also has a unique alarm function that uses a small third weight to ring the bell at the designated hour. The weight-driven movement with anchor escapement is running well. And the r epoussé surrounding the porcelain dial and on the pendulum is in relatively good shape. There are of course normal creases and cracks to be expected with age. Dimensions are approximately 59 inches in height(pendulum is 39 inches or so) by 6 inches deep. There is no crank. But I will include a key that fits the winding ... morearbors. Up for auction is an antique french green marble mantle clock currently running. Clock case has chips off front top corners(see pics) Clock movement is only marked with numbers 16098. Sculpture on top was missing. I placed this ceramic sculpture of Justice on top and it looked nice, but statue is grey and green marble is screaming for a nice gold piece. I did not remove or clean the movement. I had too fabricate an old Ansonia pendulum, and its running great. Pendulum is adjustable for regulating the time. Clock strikes with crisp bell on the half hour and on the full hour for the appropriate amount of hours. Clock has nice porcilan dial with very ornate brass hands. Dial is marked A.D. Overstrijd. This auction is for a nice antique SETH THOMAS dome top mantle clock with an inlaid front that looks like stylized flowers and a fruit basket. It measures 12 3/4" high. 8 3/4" wide and 4 3/4" deep. I believe the case is mahogany with satinwood inlay and it's in very nice condition. The finish is nice and other than a couple very slight"dings" there's no damage that I can see. The dial is looks to me to be paper with celluloid or something over it. It has yellowed, as usual, and it does have some marks near the centershaft across from the"3" It's also a little bit darker around the winding h\arbor hole at the"4" Please look at the pictures and use the zoom feature. The inner bezel is brass, as is the outer bezel that holds the crystal. The outer bezel could stand a polishing and I don't ... morebelieve it's original but it is older and it looks and works fine. The dial says SETH THOMAS above the centershaft and MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA at the bottom. The movement is an 8-day movement that says MADE IN U.S. AMERICA and it's stamped with the Seth Thomas logo. It's stamped"89C" on the lower right corner of the back plate. This clock strikes once on the half hour on a bell mounted on the back plate, then on the hour, it strikes the appropriate number on a cathedral gong mounted in the bottom of the case. It has a really nice fancy pendulum. We've been running it for several weeks and it's been running well, striking well and keeping time to within a minute or so in a couple days. The movement looks to be in good condition but a cleaning in the not to distant future wouldn't be a bad idea. I can see some dirt in some of the bushings and the mainsprings look a little dirty. Lovely. 19th century slate clock with 14-day Time and Strike pendulum movement; counts the hours and chimes once on the half. Compact size makes it great for a library or office. Or of course a mantelpiece. Movement is numbered and signed with an H in an oval. Number on pendulum number does not match movement. But is of the period, and the right size and weight. Case is 8.5" wide. 9" high, and 5" deep. Face is 4.5" in diameter. Comes with period winding key. Greek key motif on clock face ring. Dial was signed. But lettering has worn and is now illegible. There are a few small pits/dings on the case. But overall cosmetic condition is very good. Bevelled glass lens has a few flaws. But no cracks or visible scratches. Currently running. Clock is running and keeping reasonably good time. And striking properly. The lacquer has worn and the brass has tarnished slightly over the years. It would polish up nicely. No dents or dings in the brass. There is a chip on the inside of the right side glass at the bottom edge as shown in the photos below. Back door has small chip at top right corner. All glasses are beveled. Couple of very faint hairlines in the porcelain dial. Movement is marked MADE IN FRANCE back plate is numbered 913. There are some other marks on the inside of the front plate but I can not make them out. Clock case is solid brass and glass. Circa 1920 possibly earlier. Clock measures approximately 9-1/2" high with handle raised, by 5-3/8" wide by 4-1/2"

Here is a great vintage wag on wall clock for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. Great looking clock face on this clock. The rear piece of the clock case is loose. No holders and brackets and needs some attention. There are three strike rods for the strike unit in this clock. What really makes this clock stand out is the great looking raised numbered and designed clock face. Nice looking metal pendulum with this clock. Certainly has some finish loss to the metal on it. Two weights came with the clock that match each other. Someone has put metal wire on the hooks to be able to attach them to the chains. Each weight is 10.5" ... morelong. Both the chains the weights hang on are there. Just need to be restrung over the wheels they sit on. The pendulum is 13-1/8" long. Not certain if the clock is running at this juncture. So selling this clock in not running or striking condition. The movement was made in Germany by Schmeckenbecher. Has the number 107/377/12 at the bottom center of it on the back plate. Antique Ansonia Regulator Calendar Wall Clock Not Running Nice Case Time Strike Note: All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great clock for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. Beautiful wood case. All the case is there. Some crazing to the finish on the wood. Some of the seams have come apart a little(case is still intact) and do need some gluing attention. The case also certainly shows some loss of finish over the years. The bottom and top doors are still attached to the case by their hinges. The glass over the clock face and the pendulum area are both intact. No cracks or blistering. Small blister in the clock face glass at edge perimeter between roman numerals 1 and 2. The hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The ... moretin clock face has the Ansonia trademark on it. Nice brass colored lacquering on the metal that is still mostly there. Have not had the face off the clock yet to see if the movement has the maker name on it or not. The clock comes with a great old pendulum and bob and a winding key. The springs feel sound when keyed. The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The red calendar hand is there as well. The clock runs for a few minutes. But then stops. The movement probably needs a good cleaning or a bushing or two. So. Selling the clock in not running condition. The clock stands 32" tall. By 17-3/8" across, by 47.5" wide. The wood cabinet is in excellent condition with a small chip near the left top(see picture) The glass is fine(reverse painting fair) and the metal painted face is in very good shape. The hands are fine and all 3 springs look OK. The brass clock works look fine and time, strike and alarm all work. This Ingraham banjo clock is unique in that I have never seen a Washington monument center picture on one of these. Has a picture of a sailing ship under the bottom glass. These are not reverse painted images. Just on cardboard. Not sure if these pieces are proper. The clock probably dates to the 1920s to mid-1930s. The wood ... morecase is pretty intact. The case never had a finial on it. Looked just as is. The mahogany wood case still looks pretty good. All the pieces seem to be there. Certainly some finish loss, but a great project clock here. Not sure how this clock got in the condition it is in currently. A piece of the back is missing and the rest is loose from the case. Not the right pendulum(should just be a bob) The door, finials, weights, hands, pendulum, and the skirt part of the case are missing. Missing the metal side rails. The other wheel on the top of the clock the weight cored goes over is with the clock, just not pictured. The brass colored bezel over the clock face is intact. The concave glass in it is all there. I had it up on the wall and it's running and striking. I would also like to point out that on the half-hour it strikes on a Bell. This is one of the best examples of this type of clock I've seen in quite some time. The clock comes with a beautiful pendulum shown in the pictures and also a key that has not been pictured.
