Wonderful Vintage Hamilton Wood Printers Typeset Drawer Tray Shadow Box- 89 Slots. 32" X 17" with Hamilton handle. I bought this to hold my collections of Lego mini figurines. We have decided to move& won't have room for it in our new home. It looks really nice. I cleaned it with lemon oil, then I finished it all over with Danish oil. It has really neat shadowing in the slots where the print tiles must have been setting for years. There are some hand written letters on some of the slots. It has the metal on the drawer front& 2 silver metal bars on the sides, these frame it very nicely, but also make it quite heavy. Boxed it weights 10 LBS. Great vintage condition. Was well taken care of. It was never used very much. Wood joints are all tight and solid. Drawer is all original finish- it has not been repainter or refinished. Drawer has some marks where type had been settings. Drawer size 16 3/4" x 32" Spaces are 2" x 3" and 1 3/8"x 1 3/8" in size, larger then many case drawers. Vintage Hamilton Wooden Printers Letterpress Shadow Box 73 Slots Tray Drawer. The size is approximately 32 1/8" wide x 16 5/8" deep x 1 1/2" tall. This is a wooden construction with a cast metal handle. On the front of the handle it says Hamilton. There are 73 slots. It appears some of the slots were taken out to make a larger area in some spots. At one time someone had felt on the border. There is some residue on the top edges of the drawer that could be scraped off. This would be ideal for displaying knick knacks.

This printers tray. Or type drawer, was acquired from an estate where it had been used to house a collection of miniatures. It had been hung the long way and there is a sawtooth type picture hanger on the reverse. The top measures about 16-1/2" X 22-1/2" and there are 92 compartments of three different sizes. I don't find any manufacturer's markings. It looks original to me but upon close inspection I think a few of the slats on the compartments may be replacements/repairs. The wood is darkened from age and it has the expected scrapes. Smudges, and dings but no damage of any significance.It is being sold as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking, fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, other types of storage odors or pets. To avoid the expense of shipping. Up for auction is a single vintage antique Hamilton typeset drawer. What you see pictured is exactly what you will receive. Stored dry and smoke free. The drawer is in excellent condition as you can see in the pictures. It was most recently used as a shadow box wall hanging display. I included a picture with the flash of my camera on too. So you can see the detail of the drawer slots.

Retro/vintage Hamilton Industrial Wooden Printers Tray/drawer Shadow box
All the display collectables are included. But they are not glued in place so one can decorate the box as they choose. About 32 inches by 16.5 inches. This is truly one of the better looking printer draws you will find. Very good finish and in great vintage shape. Hard to see in the photos. It is stamped HAMILTON MFG. CO. Quite a few of these compartmented knickknacks are actually fairly collectable.
