This sturdy vintage divided utensil carrier has slightly canted sides. Simple butt-joint construction, and a cut out handle. There are remnants of green paint, and some small areas of scraping along one edge. The tote has very nice tight construction, with no nails showing, no cracks, and is suitable for every day use. This piece could date to the 1930’s to 50’s but the actual age is unknown. It has a nice patina with cherry color stain. The measurements are: 12.5 long at base, 3 inches high, 10 inches wide at base, 4 inches high including handle.

This early tray is about 15 in. by 9 in. with a 3 ¼ in. height. It is made of Mahogany and joined with hand cut dovetails. The cast brass handle is original to the piece. The bottom is attached with handmade screws. With the slots off center. It is in good condition, sturdy, and useful. The old finish has small marks and cuts from use and the brass has a mellow patina(see photos) I guarantee it to be old and as described. Antique large wooden cutlery knife tray caddy holder box wire nails
This nice. Large, antique wooden cutlery tray is probably made of pine and is made with flat nails. That noted, and the wear on it, it's probably from the 1800's. Measuring around the top edge, it's 17" x 11" The handle/ divider has a repaired(I can see glue residue) crack running its length. There is also a chip out of the wood at one end of the divider, exposing a nail. It has scratches, dings, scuffs, and other wear befitting its age. Check out my! Antique Wood Cutlery Tray You are bidding on an antique. Wood cutlery tray which is in excellent condtion. It is divided into two sections with a shaped center handle-divider. We found the tray in a great aunt's attic in 1980 and have had it ever since. The front of the tray is oak, the oak extends around the bottom edge on both sides. Wood is embossed with a design on all four sides and on the interior bottom. The patina on this piece is rich from much use in its age. The handle section has clear wear on the wood from use to add to the character. There are a few random spots of wear on the top edges and corners. Please see photo. The tray is light in weight. The wood is probably pine. We would classify this as a"handle-with-care" item. It is complete and all joints are secure. Here we have an older vintage antique hand made tool tote or kitchen cutlery tray that is straight out of the old farm house attic. Hand made out of solid wood. NO plywood! it looks like old yellow pine to me but not sure. Tray measures about 19 x 9 inches at the top with sides that slope inward some at the bottom. Up for your consideration is this fabulous primitive wooden cutlery tray that I believe could be American. Not sure what type of wood was used. But appears to be a hard type wood.The tray appears to have the original stain and has wooden nails. There are a couple that could have been replaced with metal nails, but really hard to tell. There is a corner that has two old nail repairs.The sides have been put together with double dado joints. Probably dates to the early 1800's period. The tray has a wood handle and considering the age is in good condition. You can see were the knives have marked the top of the tray and the wear on the inside is consist with age.
