Antique Inlaid Wooden Tray Up for auction is a vintage. Very possibly antique, tray that appears to be made of mahogany wood, with a criss-cross overlapping pattern of other inlaid woods on the top of the tray. It appears to be handmade in a folk art style, probably from the United States. My guess as to age would be late early to mid-20th century, although it could be older than that. This tray is in very good used condition. With only some minor scratches on the wood. It measures 9-3/4" X 9-3/4" square. Lovely Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany and Satinwood Serpentine Gallery Tray c.1900
Up for auction this superb quality Edwardian Mahogany Gallery Tray with a Satinwood& Mahogany gallery. And two brass handles. The centre of the tray has a lovely inlay of a conch shell. Condition is good, a couple of minor nibbles to to gallery as shown in the photos- these are very minor flaws and could easily be restored or left alone as the tray is very solid and strong in every respect. The chipping is where you would expect. The inlay is all present and very clear. The colours are good and bright. The great thing about this tray is the shape, most are oval or square as the Serpentine shape was much more difficult to do with a wooden gallery and would have been the more expensive item. Inlaid trays are very sought after and usable items- think of how much a rubbish plastic laminated plywood one costs compared to this solid mahogany ... moreversion! Both brass handles are present and original. And have not been polished so they have a lovely colour and patina. Measurements 55cm x 35cm(to widest points) and 6cm tall to tops of handles. Up for auction is this great and hard to find American Antique mahogany wood coffee or tea service tray. This tray has heavy and solid brass handles on each side. The top center has a great fruit wood inlay of a Greek stylized bowl or urn within a oval frame. This tray has no breaks. No cracks or damage, a few color marks on the top from age and normal use. The brass handles have some dark spots that could be polished out. The bottom has four very small metal feet. This tray measures 18 inches long with the handles, 17 without, 11 inches wide, 1&1/4 inches high on the wood side rail. It is a kidney shape& measures approx 23 1/2" wide with the handles. 15" max depth& stands 1 1/4" to the top of the gallery.It has a very good colour& patina, great quality& in ready to use condition.This looks great when not in use, but is also a very useable antique aswell. vintage Marquetry inlaid Mahogany Burl serving Tray Danish Modernism inlay sig
Offered without reserve is a very fancy. High quality vintage Inlaid Mahogany Marquetry tray from an estate. It has a lovely"ray" pattern of marquetry inlay with various wood types that contrast. I think the main wood is most likely to be Mahogany and mahogany burl. The handles are carved with sweeping ends and to my eye they have a Danish modernism look. It is signed on the back with a round stamp but I can not say what it reads, a close up photo is provided, hopefully someone will know. The bottom has wear typical of use through the years, the top also shows use wear and age checking on the finish. The age checking seems to be mainly centered on the burl areas where the natural lines of the burl grain has caused a pulling of the finish. It also has a slightly"oil slicked" look to the finish on the top where alcohol drinks ... moremay have affected the very top of the surface, it is used and probably at least 50 years old so one should expect such normal wear. The thick glossy finish on the top could probably be buffed out if desires but I have learned that most collectors prefer items to be original, overall it looks great and it displays well. It measures approx. 12 1/2" by 20" handle to handle, it is approx. 3/4" thick, hopefully someone would like to add it to a collection or can put it good use.No Reserve! have fun bidding! The kerb is constructed with alternating bands of rosewood and‘harewood’ veneers. Original brass handle with undisturbed fastening nuts. Very nice antique patina to the brass. Vintage Inlaid Mahogany Serving Tray Up for sale is a vintage/antique serving or butler's tray. It is rectangular shaped with brass handles. The wood appears to be flame mahogany surrounded by lighter mahogany. The center is inlaid with a conch shell. It is quite large measuring 31 3/8" long. 19 1/2 wide" and 7/8" high. There is green felt on the bottom which looks to be a new replacement, as it is in pristine condition. There are surface scratches on the top but overall, this tray is in very good shape. Antique Art Deco Rare Wood Serving Tray Inlaid Bone Mahogany Geometrical Design
This is a unknown maker. But it has an old piece of tape on the back that says"Charpl" The legs have stamps on them that look they were off of another piece of wood. I am guessing this is a handmade one of a kind piece that somebody used old pieces of wood and bone to make. The side risers are hollowed out bone and are filled with other types of wood. The side rails are a rough type wood and one of the has a crack but I think somebody could repair it if not they could just glue and make the piece work. The tray does have an uneven surface due to the age of the piece, I am guessing it to be from the early 1930's. It is all cut piece of different pieces and types of wood& bone cut to size then inlaid on a large flat piece of wood. Then they trimmed it with another type of wood. It measures 20 1/4" long by 12 1/4" wide the rails are 1 1/2' off the tray the side bone post are each really close to the same size and the biggest is 2" across the smallest is 1 7/8' across all of them stand 1 3/4" tall, the legs are one solid piece with a c cut out for style they are 11 5/8" long by 1 3/8" tall. The tray stands off a table 3 5/8" to the top of the bone side post. This is a beautiful tray and will look great at a country or art Deco inspired bar or home. This beautiful old serving tray is probably 70-80 years old. Judging by the other items it was packed with in the attic. It is handcrafted from various woods, with a mahogany finish. The underside may be pine and I tried to show a good picture of what it looks like. The tray measures 22 1/2" long(plus the handles) 13" wide, and 2" deep. The intricate inlay work is beautiful. From circa 1820 this beautiful Dutch Antique large oval mahogany galleried and inlaid tray. The centre of the tray has a satinwood inlaid marquetry seashell design. The tray has 2 wonderful mahogany shaped lifting handles. This is typical of a Dutch tray from this time. This is probably the only difference with the English trays from this time. Victorian vintage mahogany inlaid tray, brass handles
This Victorian tray is made from mahogany and although worn. Is still a great piece of furniture. The brass handles are strong and the tray is in overall good condition. There is some chipping on one edge, see photos, and some marks. I thought this was a veneered piece. However the back is one solid piece of wood, so may be solid? Lovely naive piece measuring 60cm long. 42cm wide and 7cm high. This is a vintage item. So please check the photos carefully before bidding. Can be collected from Midsomer Norton. Antique Mahogany Inlaid Oval Serving Tray with Brass handles. signed on reverse made by E.F.S. Maker. The Tray measures 14.5" w x 25" l. The inlaid design is missing 2 pieces, the larger missing piece is 1/2" long to give an idea, still this tray is in great condition for age. Some marks, light stains and such consistent with use, I only lightly wiped this so some of this will remove with a good cleaning or polish. The outer base rim has some wear to wood finish but still very good. Firm tight handles, overall a great old Tray. No splits or cracks to tray other than mentioned to inlaid pattern. Partial paper label still on back. I ship USPS and can send priority or parcel select to your location.

The medallion has inlaid wood and mother of pearl designs around a young woman in an art nouveau style. It has a glass cover. The back of the tray is also wood. It was made to hang on a wall and has the attachments for the wire. No makers mark. The tray is 28" across the handles and 16" wide.
