Almost no surface scratching. This tray looks as though it had never been used for anything more than display. At 11 ½ inches in diameter. Round trays are harder to find due to the geometric complexity of the design, the only flaw is an area at the base on the outer rim where the lacquer is chipped off, probably the resting point in display. Vtg 1960's Handmade Inlaid Wood Bone Hexagon Marquetry Tray - 12" - Spain
We purchased this tray in 1969 at an open air market in Spain- can't remember if it was outside of Barcelona or Granada. The intricately designed tray is handcrafted of small pieces of inlaid wood and bone. Measures 15" x 13" x 3/4" Because it was only used for display. It has no drink rings or scratches on it. There is a hairline crack in clear varnish on one inner border which isn't very noticeable. Old cords can sometimes be brittle or frayed& some are not polarized or have electrical mechanical switch problems due to wear and over use. To be absolutely sure they are safe, you should replace them. Also if you are planning on doing any Hard wiring, it is advisable that you get a qualified electrician or person that is skilled in wiring to do the job. Vtg 1960's Handmade Inlaid Wood Bone Round Marquetry Tray 11 3/4" Spain?
This is a vintage inlaid with several different things such as colored wood and faux ivory or bone. It has a lacquered finish that has some fine cracks to it. along the bottom edge where it attaches to another piece of wood it has asome pieces that have lifted and are missing. See the pictures. It does have a wall hanger on the back. If you hang it you cannot see the areas that have the damage they are on the top. It also doesn't look like it was ever used as a serving tray. It measures 11 3/4" and is 5/8" thick at the edge. i am guess it from Spain as most of these were made in Spain that I have seen before.
