This is a vintage set of 3 Italian Florentine gilt Faux wood trays. Made in Italy I believe these to be of a Molded Plastic Material! Color is a green to aqua in some lights. and they are all in Fair to Good shape. They are in graduated sizes with the largest measuring approximately 19" X 13 1/4" Two of them are 16 1/2" X 11 1/2" The pattern of the gilt decoration on the Large tray is a little different then the others and has a fading Stain Please see pics#4 and#9. Printer's Wooden Type Set Tray Shadow Box 16 1/2 x 21 3/4 CLEAN
The tray measures 16 1/2 x 21 3/4. The tray has been completely cleaned but the bottom was in too rough condition to save. I have replaced it with ply and stained it to match(The ply I used to restore the tray was about 1/16th less in thinkness and the small nails on each section that holds it to the bottom had penetrated the ply. I put a layer of felt left over from a desk restoration over the bottom. Scroll down for closeup

Set of 3 Vintage Marquetry Wood Inlay Trays Each of these beautiful trays features a inlay floral blossom surrounded by wood with a gorgeous grain. Then. There is a lighter inlay perimeter to accentuate the flowers. This inlay perimeter is followed by a border of darker wood that leads to raised lengthwise edges and artfully curved handles on the ends. The flowers include a Rose with two leaves. Dogwood blossoms with leaves and smaller blossoms, and a duo of Black-eyed Susan flowers. Each tray measures 19 inches x 12 3/8 inches x 1 1/4 inches(at the handles) Again. The trays are in gorgeous condition given that they are Mid Century Modern. These appear to have been used for display as opposed to their intended usage as a serving tray There are some very superficial scratches. The tray with the dogwood blossom has a bit of a lightly faded ... morespot. Which actually is much more noticeable in the photos. Trays don't sit completely flat. But it's very negligible.
