But I was able to see that this man and his company is a cabinet maker out of Southampton, New York and he started it sometime in the late 1970s. I think they might still be in business, but I'm not sure. I would guess this was made as a sample of his work. A promotional piece, a part of an accessory line, or perhaps it was part of an installation somewhere(matching the cabinetry he installed in a kitchen for instance) It is beautifully made. I think the olive green vaneer might be waterlogged wood pulled up from a river or lake somewhere. It looks liquid to me. The wood trim and handles have a nice long and straight grain- light against a dark red. I don't know what kind it is. But it really goes with the green. 24-1/8" long x 14-1/2" x 1-1/2" overall Very nice overall. I gave it a good polish and it looks great now. There are some stray cosmetic marks. Light scratches, bumps to the corners, and discoloration underneath. Most are not noticable or are underneath where not visible. Please see the pictures for more details. Package

Estate sale find. Three Mid Century teak? wood fish. The two larger ones are trays/serving bowls. The smaller one looks hand carved. These were hanging on the wall in a group. That is how they were using them. So there is a small nail in each one. It really looked good. You could probably take the two larger ones down for a dinner party and serving. Also comes with 4 mid-century modern little wooden nut dishes that are NOT by the artist but seem to go with it but they have a gloss finish. Heart, pineapple, diamond, spade. Beautifully carved ends and hollowed center reflect handwork of the mid-century modern style. The patina is very nice and the tray is in excellent condition with a few very fine scratches on the bottom of the tray. But could possibly disappear with conditioning or polish. The tray is 1" deep on the sides and the interior of the tray measures 16" long and 9.5" wide with the overall size being 19.5" long including handles, and 10" wide from side to side. Lovely piece. Nice carving and grain.

The main tray is on a riser and the tray is about 1 5/8" high from the table top. There is a handle in the middle that rises 6 1/8" from the tray. The bottom is covered with red felt to protect your surfaces. There are no marks or signatures on this tray. Very Good Condition-There is one place where the wood is not matched up perfectly. This auction is for a vintage wooden tray. It has box joint corners and is nicely made. It is a mid century piece. I know it is least from the 60's as it has been our family since then and I even have a couple of photos from the 60's where you can see it in the background. The bottom is a little soft as I think it has a felt type bottom. It measures approx. 15.5 by 10 inches and the sides measure to highest point 2 1/4 inches. Thanks for looking.

Early Dansk piece, a Danish Modern Widdecomb dining room set, a George Nelson bench and a one of a kind commissioned set of Industrial bungee chairs from Italy. Mark me as a favorite seller so you can see these and other items I will be listing in the near future. You are bidding on an early Dansk piece. Designed by the incomparable Jens Quistgaard. Many consider him to be the"father" of Dansk and certainly instrumental in ... morepopularizing the early Danish Modern/Scandinavian craze of the 50s and 60s which is enjoying such a resurgence in popularity today. Self-taught, Mr. Quistgaard was Dansk's chief designer starting in 1954 and spanning for 3 decades. It is a waffle/lattice teak condiment server. Complete with ALL 9 aqua blue glass containers. The early Dansk mark(mid 50's-early 60's) is visible on the back. It has been loving cared for and the work has been oiled regularly. Slight separation on underside of wood. 2 rim chips are noted on 2 of glass pieces. Factory bubbles and straw marks noted in some glass pieces. Measurements: Length(Handle to Handle) 17 1/2 inches. w/o handle 15 inches Width 13 1/2 inches. Glass containers: 4 1/2 inches wide. 1 1/2 inches high. This listing is for a lovely rectangular teak-coloured tray. It features two round serving areas and a fairly intricate floral design carved on the top. It measures 19.75 inches(50 cms) long by 10.75 inches(27 cms) wide. It is in good. Used condition. It is fairly uneven and does not sit flat. MID CENTURY MODERN BARIBOCRAFT TEAK WOOD DESSERT CHEESE TRAY CUPCAKE PLATE
In case you’re wondering. Baribocraft was a Canadian company in Quebec through the 60′s& 70′s famous for their gorgeous grained maple and teak woodenware. They were known world-wide for their quality of craftsmanship and innovative styles. This is their signature logo… Baribocraft also had another division called BARIBO-MAID. Which was dedicated to the production of commercial woodenware for the food service industry. Sadly Baribocraft ceased production in the 70′s and they are no longer in business. But their pieces have withstood the test of time! With proper care the woodenware looks just as stunning today as it did when it was created. And the quality in craftsmanship allows for continued use for as long as you have a use! TIP: To care for your Baribocraft. Or any other woodenware for that matter, never soak it in water. Water will ... moredry out the wood. A small amount of coarse salt scrubbed gently on the surface will clean and sanitize your piece, and if you condition the wood occasionally with a butcher block oil, or even a skim of cooking oil it keeps the wood looking fresh and moisturized!
