Circa 1926-1945, features stone faces on each side, and an embossed skin with neoclassical decorations including scrolling foliage, torches and pineapples. There are no visible hallmarks and the maker and origin are unknown. Measures approximately 5' tall and 22" wide/deep. It has its four original electric clock movements made by the Warren Telechron Company of Ashland, Massachusetts. This firm was among the first companies in the U.S. to patent and produce electric clock movements. Their mechanisms powered some of the iconic designs of the early 20th century, including clocks designed by Paul Frankl and Gilbert Rohde. The Clock was designed by the famous French designer Leon. Hatot as signed and was then made by the clock firm ATO C1930. The Clock is an electric clock which I think would be referred to as a"electromagnetic" clock. Which he was known for producing. As you can see the clock ... moreneeds a battery installed. My neighbor hooked the clock up for a few moments for me to try it out, and the clock does in fact run once hooked up. Although I could not find a mark on the glass, I was told the glass portion of clock was possibly produced by Lalique for ATO. I did also see a couple other small desk clocks by Leon Hatot, also marked ATO that the glass was attributed to Lalqiue which were sold at Christies auction house. The Clock is a nice size for display measuring approx 10" tall by 8-1/2" across the face or 7-1/2" across the base. The Clock is also in excellent condition overall with the Glass showing no chips, cracks or repairs and the"Bakelite" base showing no cracks or repairs as well. The inside of the Clock is well shown in our photos for you to judge condition. I really have no idea what the clock would be worth never seeing another example quite like this, or of this larger size. But I do know some small size glass Leon Hatot clocks have sold at the higher end auctions well into the thousands of dollars so I think this could be a very desirable find. Beautiful decorative art deco lustreware clock with Peter of Germany time piece. The clock appears to be all there. But is not working, and there is some tarnishing around the clock face. I bought this clock some 12+ yrs ago& it hung in our living room for a long time. There is no makers mark I'm afraid. Not sure of it's origin. Saw another 1 like in in Jan that came from France. It chimes if I remember correctly, every half hour& every hour. It comes with a key that's marked from England& the back of the pendulum is marked Depose. We took it down because the hour hand got bumped& hangs loose now. Since I am no clock repair person, I leave it to the experts. It has 2 bottom push away's to balance it on the wall for proper running, meaning they screw out to balance it. There is a small screw in type piece in 1 of the picks, we always assumed it went on the end of the pendulum, your call. A simple mechanism inside, please see pics. It is large, measuring 11 1/4 inches wide, 25 1/2 inches tall& ... more6 1/4 inches deep. The wood has not been restored or even polished in a long time. Ronsstuff ANTIQUE INGRAHAM MANTLE CLOCK Antique Ingarham model SSC5 mantle clock in good condition. It does have a few small scratches but overall it is quite nice. The chime was working but not striking at the right time. I turned the screw on the back to try to adjust it and now it isn't chiming at all. Someone who knows about clocks could adjust it properly. This is the Ingraham model SSC5 mantle clock. Probably from the late 1930's. It is a self-starting electric design which chimed on the hour and half hour, hence the grill on the front. The styling is quite attractive and the real wood carvings along the bottom edge are a great touch. It stands about 9 inches high, and is six inches wide at the base. Ingraham's specialty was building cases and cabinets with multiple curves. And veneer which followed those curves smoothly. ... moreThis example is no exception. This Clock is made by Sessions and is marked Model"W" In back. The clock is Gorgeous! It features a 10"x 3" x 1" thick marble base and a 7" diameter(3/4" thick) marble disc around the clock works. There are 2 round ball marble pieces on both sides of the clock. The balls are about 1.5" in diameter. The white marble has some reddish brown streaks. The base has a felt backing to protect the surface of the mantle. The clock face is metal gray with gold tone numbers. Black hands, and a red sweep second hand. The clock housing case is also gold tone. This clock is very heavy and has an electric cord in the back. The condition of the clock is near ... moreperfect! There is one very small chip in the back of the clock at about 1:30. Rare Art Deco Machine Age German Oak/Rosewood Wood Mantel Clock, Circa 1920-30
Up for auction is a rather rare German Art Deco Machine Age mantel clock. Circa 1920-30. Dimensions are approximately: W- 12.5" H- 10.5" D- 5.5" Maker: Unknown. The manufacturer is not label on the mechanism or case. Mechanism: The clock has an 8-day time and strike spring driven mechanism. The mechanism looks fairly clean and is in working order. The clock strikes once on the half hour and the number on the hour. The pendulum is a replacement. The case: The case is comprised of 2 different woods. Oak and I believe rosewood. Someone told me the base was teak, but I don't believe its accurate information. The case still has the original finish. There is a small slice, approximately 1.5" in the veneer by the numeral"3" Please see the photo. The metal dial and hands are original. The clock will come furnished ... morewith a winding key. The winding key is new and not original to the clock. I believe the clock looks much better in person. Just a real cool Art Deco piece. This clock is being put up for auction in running condition. Here we have a very unusual 1930's era ~ ART DECO EGYPTIAN REVIVAL FIGURAL LAMP WITH A CLOCK ~ that we just acquired out of an estate this week. The clock is signed CAPITOL CLOCK CORP. NEW YORK. This has a wonderful Art Deco Egyptian Revival look. And we have never seen another one like it! It looks to be made out of primarily spelter and brass. It appears to be in pretty nice original condition with the exception of it looks like it originally had a lamp shade on it and shows a little expected wear from age and use. The frame for the shade and adjustment mechanism is still all there. We plugged the lamp in, and it does work. There is a switch on the back to turn the lights on and off. To get the clock started we had to flick the little lever on the back a few times, but once it started it ran just fine" so the motor is fine" ... moreWe tested it several times and it worked every time. The lamp stands approximately 22 inches tall by 11 inches wide and 5 inches deep" at the base" The frame for the shade measures 9 by 9 inches. Offered for auction is this very unique and rare cast iron Art Nouveau Art Deco desk or dresser clock. Could also be a traveling clock. It is hand painted with beautiful original paint throughout. Paint is in nice condition. There is some slight paint loss on back of clock near bottom right corner as seen in photo. Glass on front of clock is missing. There is some staining on face of clock as seen in photo. Clock is completely in tact. It is wound tight so I'm not sure if it works. Adjustment knob is missing on back of clock. May need slight repairs. There is an arm on back of clock which folds down when not is use or traveling. Then folds out to stand clock on desk or dresser. Measures approx. 9" wide x 6-3/4" tall.
