This is a really pretty French Portico, Napoleon III, Regulating Pendulum Clock. Very nice working clock with lighter wood inlay. It measures 18 3/4" ... moreX 9 1/2" X 5". I believe it is from the late 1800's, but I am not a clock person. I am also not sure of the workings, but I put the pendulum on and gave it a nudge and it took off and ran for several minutes until I took it off. Seems to work fine. Comes with Key. This came from an estate of a high end clock and oil lamp collector. She only bought the best. She had a few Tiffany's and some carriage clocks which I purchased as well along with a few others. I will also be listing those so be sure to check my other listings.

This big clock measures 24.5" tall and 12" across the top of the front. The case is about 4.75" deep. I don't know anything about clocks. This one will run for a minute or so when the pendulum is given a gentle nudge. The clock spring and chime spring are wound tight. You can get the clock fixed or just use it as a decorator piece amid your antiques. It's an eye-catcher. Or salvage the parts here if you're in the clock business. Clock is missing a piece of wood from the bottom of the gallery at ... moretop right that's 2.25" long and is up to.75" wide. Fortunately. This isn't very noticeable. See photos. Wooden staff on pendulum was been broken long ago and a 19th Century repair stitched it back together with wire thread. Case shows soiling and some scuffs and dings. Metal innards. Antique E.N. Welch Oak Mantle Clock C 1880 with key in excellent condition!
This is a Welch oak kitchen mantle clock from around 1880. The wood is in fabulous shape. The clock has been recently serviced, the main spring had to be replaced and the glass was missing so it is new. Everything else is original. The dial is a bit worn and dirty, but I do not restore dials. I had to adjust the door close mechanism, the original piece broke off, so I used the old piece and adapted it so it works great to keep the door closed. It looks just like the old one. The pattern on the glass is a bit long for the door. It fits correctly over the face of the clock, but it is too long for the door of the clock, the pattern disappears into the door frame. The original key is there and the clock runs and chimes on the half hour. You can adjust the run time faster or slower from the pendulum. It's a really great looking clock as well ... moreas a nice working one. And it's a nice old piece to add to your collection or to add some atmosphere to your home. This clock comes from a family estate with no history as to its acquisition. The clock was manufactured by the Douglas Clock Co. and has the Birmingham- 925- 1905 hallmarks. Douglas Clock Co. made dresser sets amongst other pieces. It runs and has a key attached to it. We have left the clock exactly as found leaving the ribbon and key in place. You can see the surface dings which are obviously accentuated due to the enlarged photos and bright lighting. It displays nicely from a normal viewing distance and in room light. I did not take the back off as the set screws are so tiny I didn't want to risk stripping anything. The time set works normally and it winds smoothly. I wound it a couple of times and gave it a little shake. It started right up. Sounds good and all of the hands appear to work properly. Hi. You are looking at a rare Craftwood Miller Clocks French Period clock that has been refurbished and painted. It has been precisely painted and I do not see any flaws in the painting. The front has been painted gold with a green clock face. The numbers and center are painted white and even the eyes at the top are painted red. The back is painted green and I believe the back plate has been painted a different color from the original as well. There is some damage to the maker's plate but it is all readable. There is a loss of paint to the back plate. There are what appear to be cracks throughout but they were simply by design for looks and do not go all the way through. The key winds up the clock properly but it sometimes needs a boost to start up. The minute hand is loose and needs adjusting often. It may need a replacement minute hand. ... moreIt has been wound up multiple times and it seems to function properly otherwise. The slow/fast function seems to work properly as well, though the plate has a large bend across the top so the lever does not fit through the slot properly. My friend's father had feared he overwound the clock, but it was keeping time and chiming normally once I got it home, so I think it's OK. The front glass door obviously has its original classic silver design on the glass showing a nice amount of wear for its age giving it desirable character. Everything else is as you see it too. In great condition indeed. But it hasn't been restored or interfered with as far as I can see. Original from the factory over 100 years ago. You might want to give it some antique wax but I haven't done a thing to it. The patina on the lions' heads and the Ansonia Lady are very old and attractive. Antique/Vintage Rare Meiji Black Adamantine Mantel Clock Working well. This unique black and gold mantel clock is not an American model from the turn of the century. Instead it is a MEIJI. Which is a Japanese clock company making clocks before the second world war. See the brand on the movement inside. But it looks like a Waterbury, Seth Thomas or the like. It has a shiny black adamantine case which is great condition for its age. Many of these old ones have thin restored adamantine but this one seems to be as thick and gleaming as it always was. Of course it has knocks and bumps commensurate with its age but they add character and it still looks really great. The decorations of columns and added metal have been gilded with proper gilding paste which has them glowing luxuriously gold. It has a bright clean shiny bezel and convex glass which ... moreopens and closes nice and snugly. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well counting out the hours on the hour and the half hour on its beautiful resonating cathedral gong. This clock is in magnificent condition for it's age of(130) plus years old.This clock appears to be in good working condition. The clock is keeping correct time for the period that I've tested it. T he chime seems to be off a bit. The face of the clock shows some very minor wear. But doesn't take away from it's beauty. The Slate or Metal ebonized case is in near perfect condition. Offering this just incredible wood framed key wind clock. After running it for a few days I have determined it is actually about 4 to 5 minutes fast. I am sure there is some type of adjustment for that but I don't want to break what is not broken I cannot find a manufacturers name on the unit. I have tried to give a clear idea of the clock through my photos. One thing that is interesting and I want to mention is that the clock winds counter clockwise as the arrow shows. The wood has a few"age marks" The glass is fine. Will be bubble wrapping carefully for save delivery. I invite and questions you may have. For sale is a Antique Seth Thomas Mantle Clock. I purchased this at an estate sale and it is missing the back cover and the pendulum. I have the wire for it and the key. Nice case.With a few scratches. The front glass is good,but loose. It is 10 1/2" tall and 14" wide and 5 1/4" deep. Nice Cherry case lion heads on the sides and brass claw foot base. I dont know if it works or not.I am not a clock person and have little knowledge of them. Sold as is. I have several Clocks listed at low starting bids and NO RESERVE.
