This charming ceiling light features a light pinkish peach color vintage glass deco shade with a new solid polished brass fixture. The light fixture has a maximum height of approximately 14 inches and is 11 inches at it's widest point. The shade is vintage and is showing its age with some imperfections in the frosted pinkish peach colored glass including small scuffs on the underside of the shade and small chips in chain holes all of which is pretty common for old glass. The new solid brass fixture base is from a pre-assembled fitter kit featuring a brass beaded chain. Porcelain socket and wire(all U.L. listed but the fixture is not U.L. approved) There is a small tarnish mark in the brass neck and other minor imperfections in the brass finish. An ebayer advises that this light fixture was made by Virden. They were produced from the early 20's up until the 30's.that the ceiling canopy is cast iron.the chain is steel. The body is aluminum alloy. And the finial is brass. The original turn switch would have been a 3-way, one click 2 lights come on, next click, 2 lights come on, final click all lights on. then off. This was before dimmers were made so you could adjust the level of light. With the old wiring currently in place, we have not of course, tested the lighting features. It needs a ceiling cap and some prisms and missing one of the arms that holds the crystals at the top. The wiring looks ok but I have not tested it. Vintage Art Deco White Milk Glass Ceiling Lamp Chandelier Light Fixture Small Custom. Here we have a lovely. Smaller, Vintage Art Deco White Milk Glass Ceiling Lamp Chandelier. This is custom made out of antique glass pieces. All of the hardware and crystal are brand new, top quality. Metal parts are nickel finish. New sockets and rewired with period correct white cloth covered wire. This is in like new condition, ready to be installed in your home! All of the original white milk glass pieces are free from cracks or chips of any kind. It's all in great condition. Shade is a thick glass. But not as thick as some from the 1930's. This may be more from the 1940's. The milk glass bobeche and stem pieces, along with the ceiling cap piece, are antique 1920's-1930's. Notice especially the rare milk glass bobeche! JUST BEAUTIFUL! ... moreThis has been fitted with small, brand new, real lead crystal U-drops and 3 chains of octagons, all with silver bowtie pins. It takes 2 light bulbs. Not included, that are 60 watts each or less. It hangs 19 1/2" in total including chains of crystals, and it's just about 11" wide. Nice, small size perfect for a powder room or bathroom or bedroom, or really any room where you don't need a HUGE light! Other important notes: Bobeche has dark lines just right where you put the crystals in.as you can see from the pictures. They can't be seen unless you are taking it apart. It seems that is wear from putting the crystal pins and out over the years. Shade and finial don't come off. A real unique characteristic. Finial is permanently attached to shade and to fixture. You can tighten or loosen it from the inside. To adjust levelness, etc. but it is permanently affixed to the fixture. Most all are not. Usually you can take the shade on and off.
