ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL BARN ROOF CUPOLA
Up for bid. Is as the title states, one of three absolutely stunning antique architectural barn roof tin and wrought iron cupolas. Recently found in Western MD. but originally came from a Mennonite barn built in Waynesboro, PA. around the early to mid 1800's. The largest cupola, seen in the center is the first one we will sell, however, the winning bidder will have to option of purchasing the other two at the end of this auction. This cupola, unlike the other two, stands close to 10' high x around 3-1/2 to 4' in diameter. You'll notice there are a few holes in the tin, but structurally it all appears to be at a place where it could easily be restored. Being skilled in the restoration of these pieces, I would do it myself, if I only had the time, and would be happy to do the restoration for the winning bidder upon a successful ... moresale, if they are interested. The base of this piece looks to be about 30" square and although we don't have the vent houses that these cupolas originally sat on, a base could still be built for each one. The third picture shows how high this one stands, and if you look closely, you'll notice that guy standing there next to the cupola is holding the weathervane that came off of the top of it, which we will include with this cupola only. We don't have the copper ligh tening rod cable. The finial and inverted cone portions of the cupolas do have some white glass insulators still wired on. The weathervane as seen. Has a rear area made up of rusty tin and not what was once probably a piece of stained glass. All 3 of the cupolas are easy to handle and were transported to my farm by me and the guy in the picture on my pickup truck. Antique Wood Cupola Hard To Find
Up for auction we have this totally original cupola. These are getting hard to come by. This cupola measures 24 inches by 24 inches at the bottom where it attached to the structure. The roof itself measures 22 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. It measures approx. 25 inches to the peak of the roof, and 48 inches to the top of the weather vane. I am going to say that the roof is copper based upon the patina that it shows. If this item is packed for shipping the weathervane will be removed and packed inside the base of the cupola for its protection. Antique Cupola from Original Hunter's Cabin Hard To Find AMAZING HISTORY TO THIS
THIS ANTIQUE WEATHER VANE WEATHERVANE CUPOLA IS OFF OUR ORIGINAL HUNTER'S CABIN THAT WAS HERE WAY BEFORE ANY OF THE HOUSES WENT UP ACCORDING TO THE BLUE PRINTS. I can't date it exactly. But probably early to mid 1900's. There was an outhouse on the property we tore down. It is in nice condition, but just needs a scrubbing, which I will do a bit of before it sells. It was removed from the roof over 10yrs ago& has been in the one outbuilding garage since then. Antique Soldered Tin Folk Art Cupola Finial Architectural Roof Garden Ornament
This auction is for an antique soldered Galvanized TIN CUPOLA with a great oxidized patina. This Cupola is in excellent structural condition. It is fabricated by an unusual kind of corrugated zinc coated tin(steel) sheet metal similar to the texture of corduroy. The rust oxidation is mostly on the exterior surface and the metal is still solid with its original thickness(not rusted through or badly corroded) It appears that this piece was never painted and the original galvanized zinc cladding has been eroded by the elements. The result is a great antique rust patina which tells the true age of this piece. The dimensions are 22" tall and 15" square( at widest part) The original galvanized zinc remains mostly intact on the interior. There is some roofing tar residue on one side. The dimensions are 15-1/4" square and 20-1/2" tall. It is in very good structural condition with a heavy layer of multiple coats of paint the paint has flaked off in many areas revealing the historic record of previous colors.and the galvanic zinc. This will make a great roof, garden or house ornament. It can be attached directly to a flat roof or a wood base can be simply made to saddle a gable pitched roof. There are some tiny holes(visable in photos) these are from incomplete solder joints when it was made and a few in the flame are from the metal being stretched and work hardened when it was made. they are not rust holes.

This wonderful cupola sat on our first home. When we had the slate roof replaced. We removed it. The home it sat on was a converted barn that was built in the early 1800's. During prohibition, the townsfolk were rumored to keep a stockpile of illegal liquor in the loft of the barn. The roof has a gorgeous patina. The louvers are in great shape and the only hint of wood degrading at all is at the very top where the weathervane was attached. Hopefully all of the photos will show the overall condition. Vintage birdhouse cupola. It's large, ~4' tall x ~28" wide. Metal domed roof, painted to replicate goldish copper color. ~10 birdholes, the front has a temple construction porch which juts out ~ 8 inches, very classic. Purchased from an estate in Charleston, SC several years ago to place on our new garage roof which we've never built. We've also thought about placing in our yard garden as a focal point. It's in storage, so hard to get better photos but can if you're serious. Lots of spindles and detail, needs to be re-painted as there's much paint loss from years of outdoor use, unless you like shabby chic or want it to have original patina/paint. Antique Steam Locomotive Bronze Bell With Cradle School, Cupola, Church 1890's
Antique Locomotive bell. The bell has 512 carved into it. That is the original locomotive number. It also has a couple of other numbers carved into the top of the cradle as they reused these for decades. Each time the bell changed engines the number was carved into the cradle. This is 1890 or before. These were outside exposed to the weather so this still having all the original components is rare. It has a couple small dings and typical pitting on the cradle and is complete. It rings nice. Could be used in a cupola. School, Church or as a display piece. It could be polished to a high sheen. Weights just over a pound and it's just over 4 inches tall. Don't know how to identify the manufacturer and year. Looks like those identified by antique dealers as made by J E Stevens in the 1870s.

This edition of the engravings collected and arranged by the French archaeologist ... moreand historian J. B. L. G. Seroux d'Agincourt(1730-1814) Was published by Verlag von G. W. Mettenius in Frankfurt, Germany circa 1845. The captions are in Italian. The original copper plate imprint is visible on each engraving although this imprint does not show up well on the digital image. An end paper from this edition includes a stamp of the noted English architect-William White, 30A Wimpole St. W. with a date of April 15, 1864. Next to this stamp is the signature of F. Gilbert White and a date of June 11, 1860. These original engravings are exceptionally well preserved considering their age and are excellent items for framing. Any foxing appears darker on the digital image than it is on the actual item. CONDITION This 166+ year old Item is rated Very Fine. No creases. No tears. No water damage. Antique Wooden Swedish Cupola
This extremely rare. Unique, historic, Swedish folk art style Cupola was removed from an old barn that was over 100 years old in Southern Minnesota. The original red iron oxide color paint is still visible. It has a similar feel as that of the wooden stave churches of the old country. This cupola is large- approx. 42" x 42" base and the roof is at about 84" with the spire making it well over 9 feet tall. It would be an excellant center peice in a garden or an extremely unique piece in a collection of Swedish folk art. All the slats are still intact and you can tell which side faced north from the moss on the one side. It is good condition, considering it sat on a roof for over a century.

Large Antique Barn Cupola Hello. For your consideration is this large, hand made, antique, tin barn cupola in good to very good condition. There are of course plenty of dents, dings, bullet holes, a couple of tears, and lots of surface rust, all of which can be seen in the p hotos below. There has been only a slight amount of repair and replacement work done to it such as the cone is relatively new and the 6" tear has a patch riveted in place on the inside. Also there are a few rivets in two of the ornate gussets. A few more in one of the seams and it looks like a bit of touch up paint here and there. With all that said it is still very solid with a lot of life and character, it could be put back into service, or would make an ideal display for your yard or favorite weather vane. The approximate dimensions are 6" tall to the top ... moreof the red cone. The base is 36" x 36" not counting the flanges and the wind ring is 36" in diameter. Huge antique hand forged weathervane 1800s fancy lightning rod cupola
This is incredible. Came out of virginia is only history unfortunately. 46" long 11 3/4" widest 5/8"holes. Hand forged except for the tail insert which is rivetted to four tabs that are rivetted torails. Everything looks original. Only damage to this monster is little doughnut cast piece is only 1/2 there. Hate to sell this as it is probably the best I will ever own but love my kids.
