We think an old alarm sticker. It is on the clear glass in front of the stained glass. Not sure where they picked it up from so that all the history I have on it. The bar was torn down and I bought it up from the demo crew. My plans have changed and I don't have a use for it anymore I would like to sell it to someone that can use this beautiful piece. I was told it would cost $14.000.00 to make this today. The window is 5 feet tall and it is 8 feet wide at the bottom. There is a wood frame around the window but it does need some work to be repaired. The bottom window sill is damaged/rotted/missing and needs to be replaced. When this was installed it also had a piece of clear glass on both sides to protect it. One of them cracked as I set it down on my garage floor and was taken off and tossed. The stained glass is still perfect. It shows age and the brass pieces are starting to tarnish a little. The window dropped down out of the wood frame and we just turned it over and it went back in. I now have a board holding it all together. The rays meet a Jack Frost center at the bottom. Which is topped with a row of sparking clear jewel stones. A double border of bevels surrounds the entire panel. The window is made of copper foil construction and measures 16 inches high and 30 inches wide. The window is framed in a patina-finished bronze frame suitable to hang or be framed. Penn Antique Restoration. 34"x79" Antique Victorian Door w/Tombstone Wavy Glass Lites. Gorgeous. Antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Iowa. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir and is painted on both sides. The door has 2. Arched"tombstone" style windows with ORIGINAL, wavy glass-incredible to think that it survived for well over 100 years! The glass has bubbles, dimples, and the charming, uneven"wavy" surface that only antique glass has. Below the windows are 2, vertical raised panels. Also, notice the beautiful, bold applied(raised) molding on the exterior side of the door-what a great accent! Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware ... moreholes patched with a solid block of wood. Please email us for a quote. Quirks& Considerations: The height of the door was unevenly reduced at some point. Most likely to compensate for a settling foundation or warped floor. At another point in the door's life, someone added a strip of wood to the top to even it's height to 79 3/8" We could even the height to 78 1/2" or cut it even shorter, or properly add to the height so that it wouldn't be so obvious once you repaint the door- email us for a quote. The glass is secured with glazier's putty on the interior side of the door. Most of the putty is still intact. But a significant amount is missing. Glazier's putty is inexpensive and could be purchased at any hardware store. Many carpenters and window installers could do the job within an hour or two, and once cured(hardened) the putty could be painted. Condition: The door has a chipped lower corner(see last photo) Otherwise. The door is strong, sturdy, and in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. c.1920-1930 Antique Stained Glass Arched Window, from an old church, uplifting
a very nice early 20's to 30-ish stained glass window from an old church in Raleigh NC. I liked it because it was very uplifting to me[as the colors seem to draw your eyes upward] and not overtly religious. It measures approximately 60 inches wide by 36 inches tall in its frame; its original frame. Which is in great aged condition.the single layer of old green paint is worn and frayed, yet presentable. Its not perfect, as few windows of this age are. There are some stable cracks, there is no missing glass anywhere. Currently, it is on display at Captain Buzzy's Beanery, at the corner or 27th and E Broad Street, on Church Hill, in Richmond VA[the last 6 pictures show the frame in some detail.it is sold, but has holes from years of use. It measures 50.0 inches wide by 25 inches tall. It is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 45.5 inches wide by 20.25 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. The doors and frame are made of solid Spanish Cedar(a species of Mahogany) Each door has 2 windows and 2 panels. 1 lite is missing from each door. But we could cut and add glass from our collection of antique glass for $25/lite. Yellow arrows show amateur epoxy repair. Red arrow shows where I used a small piece of non-matching colored glass to fill in. The lower cast iron'nubs' add approx. 1 3/4" each side to the 42" base width. The upper nub adds 1 1/4 to the 21. I will carefully saw off nubs if successful bidder requires it to be so. No charge for removals. Of course. Weighs approx. 42 lbs. 3/4" cast iron frame has a 5/8" reveal on the textured(inside) of the piece and glass is set almost flush on the outside(smooth) side. It measures 30.25 inches wide by 20 inches tall and is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 26 x 16.25 inches. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple of hairlines. The glass is bowed. The glazing putty needs filled in. This window came from a 100 year old home recently torn down. Pic of old home shown. Window was not original but most likely replaced the original in the 1960's. It is all wood and has been sanded down and primed bringing it back to practically brand new. No rotten wood. The exact measurements are 8' 5" Tall and 3' wide. This piece is strongly believed to be from the 1800's with the construction of the cast iron frame and simplistic design of the fantastic multi colored green, red, yellow and clear glass(but exact year is unknown) This age old window measures at 12 1/2" long, 5 1/2" tall and is 1/4" thick and is very classic looking almost like the bar windows on old"CHEERS" episodes.
