The light reflects so well off the the candle wick detailing that runs from top to bottom. It is blue with beautiful-highly detailed clear glass. All components are in excellent condition and are from the mid century era. The shade and stem compliment each other nicely. The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. The original Leviton porcelain socket has been rewired and accepts a 150 watt bulb. This amazing light fixture hangs 16 inches from the ceiling. The mounting hardware will be included. Features a shade that I can best describe as being"peach luster" in color- it was hard to capture in the photos, a bit of carmel or carnival color with iridescent overtones- really pretty. Fixture and chain are antique brass, glass chimney is clear. Socket is suspended inside the chimney with a rod that is attached to the top of the fixture. This can be taken apart to put a bulb in by taking the bottom off the three chains that hold it to the main chain. If you use the chimney, you will need to use a narrower bulb like a chandelier style which can be purcahsed anywhere they sell bulbs. If you want to use a regular light bulb, the chimney would have to removed since the top of the chimney is too narrow to accept it. Socket says this will accept a 100 watt bulb. RARE" Large Amber Carnival Light Fixture ca Early 1900's"SCARCE" This lamp is featured in the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass on page 173 and it is listed as scarce. They have named the pattern Mitered Block but they are not sure who made this beautiful piece. It is believed to be European but that is not confirmed. We found this beauty at a local flea market and it does not have its base but it doest have the pot metal cap and metal hole for the rod. I have included a picture of the original lamp from the book and I have also include a picture of a beautiful chandelier in a modern architectural magazine that is featuring an old home being restored in North Florida and they have several similar fixture hanging from chains in a huge foyer. Vintage School House Light Fixture Ceiling Antique Restored
This listing is for the a vintage. Circa 1920's"school house" light fixture made by Red Spot. This is for the entire fixture; globe and fitter. The fitter is copper and has the original porcelain socket. The fabric covered wire has been replaced with new plastic coated wire This measures overall approximately 10 3/4" from the very top side of the canopy that fits against the ceiling to the bottom of the globe. The main body of the canopy measures approximately 6" across where it contacts the ceiling and is 5 1/4" high. The fitter measures just over 4" across on the inside diameter. The distance between the two holes for the screws that attach the fixture the ceiling is 5 1/2" Fixtures of this age require an adaptor. Available from Lowes or an electrical supply store, to attach to a modern electrical ... moreceiling box. You'll need to provide your own screws. The globe is slightly less than 10" in diameter. This is in good condition: no damage. No breaks, no cracks, and no reapairs to the metal pieces. There are some small areas on the copper that are tarnished. The globe has a spot of paint on the top, or ceiling side. This is not visible when the globe is in use. The wiring has been replaced. USPS PARCEL POSTshipping to a US address. This qualifies as amazing. A Walt Disney Product: Ceiling Light Fixture. Circa 1935* This light fixture. Packed in its original box, still has its original tags AND, get this, the original LIGHT BULBS that came with the fixture, still packed in the box. Note, the packages that the light bulbs are packed in are dated 1935* And, when you shake the bulbs, they do not rattle-so I think they actually might still be good. Note the date is not clear. The light bulb's carton that is in the box is dated 1935. It is clearly stated on the fixture's box that a Light bulb is included with the fixture. So we assume THIS is the bulb included with the fixture. If so. We also assume that must be close to the manufacturer date of the fixture. That is all speculative. Some people have written to us saying they think it is a 1950s vintage.but no one ... morehas been able to tell us why they have given it that date. Anyway, it is what it is.a very cool VINTAGE ceiling lamp. On the side of the box it say the original price was $7.95. There is also a hang tag on the light fixture. The fixture is a ceiling mount with an 11" base. The painted glass globe says W.D. P. Walt Disney Productions) It measures approx 8" in diameter and about 3" tall. Painted inside are 2 Mickey Mouse 1 Donald Duck and 1 Pluto CONDITION: as it was when it was new- except for the glass globe. The globe has discolored on the inside. The discolored/darkened areas have a metallic-like finish. I have no idea what it is. Or what might have caused it-some chemical reaction in the paint maybe? And I don't know how-or if-it can be removed. In places it almost looks like it has a pattern. Maybe something was pushed up against it and leached on the surface. Other wise. This is a vintage solid copper hanging light fixture in the Mission or Arts& Crafts style. It is unmarked as far as I can tell. It has a yellow pebbled and waved glass shade. And was probably used on a porch. It originally had white paint on the ceiling plate. But I have removed that. You can see it in the last photo before it was removed. The light itself has the original patina, but it should clean up well if desired. The ring on the ceiling plate appears to be brass; I think the one on the light is. Too. The chain is steel. This would need rewiring as the original wire with it is frayed. This nice vintage light fixture is in very good condition. With no dents. There is a very slight bend on the edge of the"hat" ... morepart, but it is hardly noticeable. Most of this home still relied on the original“knob and tube” wiring for its electrical power. The first floor ceilings of this home were 11' high. A few of the ceiling fixtures were controlled by pull chain switches due to the lack of wall switches. This fixture was originally equipped with a pull chain switch. Vintage light fixture. Brass mounts and a unique square/rectangular globe, I believe this was used as a porch light, but it could also make an interesting wall sconce, your call on that one, I see no damage to the globe, this measures about 8 inches tall and almost four inches wide, I cannot say as to what era this would be from, possibly 1930s or 1940s, As stated in condition I would rewire as it has the old style cloth wiring in it. Up for auction is a BEAUTIFUL 1910's quality cast chandelier. This is signed Puritan on the back of the chandelier. It is a KNOCKOUT and all heads turn when they enter the room. The chandelier is nice and fancy and features a beautiful fancy stem and ceiling caopy. This has been restored with antique golds.Reds,greens and blues then had a method applied to give it the rich aged antique patina. The chandelier also retains the original off and on switch which works nice and freely as it should and can also be controlled at the wall plate. 1930'S ART DECO VICTORIAN SUNFLOWER CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE CHANDELIER
I have listed a Sunflower fixture with it's stunning Classic Art Deco geometric design and amazing detailing that came with the Great Craftsmanship of Old America. The 14-1/2 inch Shade has a hobnail center with frosted petals jetting out past the scallop topped clear rim. The shade and body are connected to the brass ceiling canopy with a brass coated chain. The Glass Body from bottom to top starts with a 2-5/8 inch faceted crystal finial then a new 3 socket cluster that accepts standard Edison based bulbs and above is a clear cut glass pineapple shaped stem toped with a pressed cut glass bobeche holding 8 beautiful thick antique crystal glass drop prisms. The shade has minor nicks on the top side of 4 of the petals and 1 of the scallops as shown in the pictures. This fixtures total hang is 26 inches and measures 14 inches from the top ... moreof the body to the bottom of the final. This fixture has been completely rewired with cloth covered wire. The shade measures about 16 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. There are a couple of flea bites on the top rim that are not noticeable when hung. The glass body is fabulous. The chain has been left with its vintage petina- looks great. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted as is also from the same era. The socket housing is vintage and there are four new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs as well as all new wiring.
