You are buying a beautiful Sterling Silver Saccharine Box with Finial Lid and Tongs. Made by the Thomae Co circa 1920's. Lovely little box used to hold sugar/sugar cubes and small tongs for picking them up to put in coffee or tea. Wide footed bottom. Box measures 1 1/2" in diameter and 2" tall with lid on and weighs 31 Grams. Tongs measure 2" long. In very good condition. No dents or dings. This is a beautiful"what is it" The metal t ests to be silver. I presume to be silver plated as it is not soft enough to be sterling. It measures 7" tall including the bird figure finial which has a damaged beak. There is a separation in th e center of the item appearing that the top part overlaps the bottom. I have attempted t o separate the 2 parts by all means I am familiar with to no success. Still stuck. You work on it a while now. I can hear a dull rattle when I shake it It has had a metal bo t tom cut off the base revealing a large lead weight inside. This is very unusual to see a lead weight instead of a concrete weight. This item will be shipped in a box with delivery confirmation. Offered for auction is one carved pale green or white jade lamp finial with what appears to be some sort of flower on it. It has variances within it which are consistent with being hand carved and it is very cool to the touch. This beautiful piece measures 3” high. Is a tad under 2 ¼” at its widest point and is 3/16” thick. It has a solid brass base and the threads are all good, a magnet does not stick anywhere. This is definitely not new; it was purchased several years ago on a vintage floor lamp. It is believed that the jade is much older than the brass piece on which it is attached. This could ... moreeasily be made into a pendant/medallion or amulet. No cracks or repairs could be found but there is some roughness here and there that is believed to be from the hand carving process. Vintage Henriot Quimper France Pottery Hat Trinket Box w/ Acorn Finial Signed
This is a lovely hand painted and glazed pottery lidded dresser or trinket box decorated with Dutch style flowers. A woman and an acorn finial on the lid. It measures 5&3/4" by 5" by 2&3/4" high and is in fair condition. There is a chip on the rim of the box and a small one on the inside rim of the lid, as shown in the last two pictures, and two flakes of glaze missing. One on the rim of the hat and a tiny one off the tip of the acorn finial. Also some glaze pops, as is common in old pottery, and some brown staining inside. No cracks or repairs. vintage Laurids Lonborg Denmark ice bucket teak finial brown black tan design
Vintage Laurids Lonborg ice bucket. Outside is fabric black brown and cream or tan design. Inside is white plastic with a white plastic piece with a hole in it( I don't know what it's for) Lid is black plastic with a teak wood finial. Measures 6 1/4" high without the lid. 10 1/2" high to the top of the finial. 7 3/4" diameter. Inside of the lid is cork lined, as is the bottom. Very very good pre owned condition. No rips. Tears, holes, smells, or stains. The finial, however has a chip out of it. It is a little rought to the touch. I don't know how difficult it would be to repair or replace, or if you really need to. top
