Meriden B Company 4800 Silverplate Covered Serving Bowl Butter Dish Swan Finial
Information about the Meriden B Company is challenging to find. But this company manufactured silverware out of"black silver" which was a mix of silver and other metals, which was more economical at the time but still had the face of expensive silver settings. This delightfully ornate, 6 1/2" tall bowl may have been a butter server, but over time, the insert has been lost. The lid of this dish is domed-shaped with the finial being a highly detailed swan with outstretched wings. Around the outside middle of the bowl is an ornate border of open work filigree design. The interior of the dish measures approximately 2 1/2" deep and 5 1/2" across. The base is supported by 4 individual open work feet. On the bottom of the dish is is a circle with a scale of justice logo in the center with Meriden B-Company stamped around ... moreit. Outside the bottom of the circle is the number 800 which may be the identifying stock number. The piece is in fair to good used condition, with the inside of the lid shiny and clean with a few light scratches. The interior of the base has some light scratches as well with some wear around the rim. As pictured, we have not polished the dish, choosing to leave that up to the new owner. It does give the item a great antique look, but I'm sure it will look spectacular polished. This beautiful piece is really a wonderful example of expert craftsmanship and a real labor of love. 3 vintage brass lamp finials & 5 brass finial extensions 1/4-27, 3/8"
You are bidding on 3 brass finials and 5 extensions. The tallest finial shown on the right has a 3/8" thread- the other finials and extensions are all 1/4-27 I think. The tallest finial is 2-3/4" The next is 2-1/2" and the one short cap finial shown on the far left is about 3/4" tall. The extensions including the threaded parts are 2" 1-1/2" and 1" tall. Dings, gouges or breaks, but most of the silver has been polished off- or is just that worn from carrying it around for years. It measures 4 1/4 inches across by 7 1/4 inches long. The surface is ripply/hammered and it is monogrammed RRD. The top screws on and off smoothly and there is still some cork left in the top. Beautiful Victorian Claret jug by Hukin& Heath My research reveals that this is the earliest Hukin& Heath maker's mark. H& H" within 3 spheres was registered with the Birmingham Assay Office in 1875& was used until 1879. It was replaced by"JWH" above"JTH" for Jonathan Wilson Hukin& John Thomas Heath. This second mark was registered with the London Assay Office in 1879. The stamped eagle signifies silver plate. 1021" is stamped beneath the upper handle mount(Picture 6) The decanter measures 11 1/4" tall to the top of the finial with a 4 1/4" base diameter.

Can't identify pattern but would work well with any grape or ivy bottom part, or a very plain one. The finial is fabulous- can't exactly identify it, and couldn't find it in any referene books or on the web. Gourd comes to mind(other suggestions welcome! Creamy white. Matches just about all my 1870-90s English ironstone in color. No blue tinge. Would fit a bowl opening of 2-7/8 or 2-15/16- too small for an exact 3" Total diameter is a hair under 3" and otal height is about 2-1/2" No repairs. Stains, hairlines, cracks or flakes. PAIR 1892 CAST BRONZE WALL SCONCES SINGLE CANDLE PULL CHAIN METAL FINIAL
This auction is for a pair of cast bronze wall sconces. I was told they were from 1892 but do not have anything to authenticate the date but they are from no later than the 1920's. Without a bulb. The sconces are about 8 1/2" high and would stand out from the wall almost 4" The mounting plate is oval and is about 6" tall and 4" wide. The sconces have their original finish and have worn to a warm finish. The back of the piece has a metal plate where the wire comes through and at the top of the plate it is marked Pat App'd For. The wires are a very thin cloth covered wire. Each sconce has a pull chain attached so they could be connected to a switch or turned on and off with the pull chain. The candle cover is cardboard and they do show wear. There is a metal piece that looks like a tassel or finial that hangs from ... morethe bottom of the sconces. Large Antique Czech Lamp Finial Prism Cut Glass
Here is a large old cut glass finial. The glass is not glued to the brass metal top but fits in nicely. The base is marked Made In Czecho-slovakia Rindsberger Chicago. The glass has chips on the end that fits into the brass finial and does not show when in place. The visible part has no chips. The metal part is bent slightly. I'd think and easy fix. Teak Wood Martz Lamp Finial, Marshall Studios, Danish Modern
This is a solid teak wood reproduction finial for the Martz and Marshall Studio lamps. Handcrafted in Ohio. The overall measurements are approximately 43mm in diameter and 31mm in height. The color may not be 100% accurate since teak wood can age differently along with the grain and different batches of wood. The last three photographs show the reproduction next to an original which is on the left. Since this is the only original that I have owned and seen personally I assume other originals could vary in color depending on their age etc. Martz finials were also made of walnut. Antique bronze door knocker. Weighing approx. 2 pounds. It has a nut finial on top of a handled"vase" with floral accents. No maker's mark seen. But the back is heavily oxidized. Possibly forged- the reverse side of the knocker is a little uneven around the arch with pitting, but I can't say for sure. Measures 8-1/4" long x 4-1/2" wide. Condition is antique. Up for bid is a wonderful Victorian aesthetic period silverplate lidded sugar basket by Wilcox. The box is 4 ¾ inches long. 3 3/8 inches wide and stands about 6 inches tall with the handle up. The removable lid has a chased pattern and an applied bird-on-nest finial. The body has a bail handle, stippled sides and an aesthetic band of bird decoration around the base. The piece has not been monogrammed. The box is marked”QUADRUPLE PLATE” with a Wilcox Silver Plate Co. circular mark and“1935” Condition on the basket is quite good. Antique French Pink Opaline Satin Glass Vanity Jar Hand Painted Gold& Cobalt Detail(mid- late 1800s) This gorgeous piece of antique. French Opaline Glass, made during the mid-late 1800s, is primarily pale pink in color. Most likely part of a decorative vanity set, this powder jar has a round, bulbous body and a lid featuring what is often referred to as a'tussy mussy' finial(crown shaped) The interior lip of the lid sits perfectly into its round base, which stands on a low foot. Both parts of this piece are hand painted/decorated. The jar's lid has various gold bands(two with gold dots) Surrounding a thick circle of cobalt blue. This cobalt blue band features a hand painted, foliage garland in gold. Its finial is trimmed& detailed in gold as well. The stem connecting the finial to the lid is actually made of white, opaline ... moreglass. The body of the piece features various shapes& decoration in gold; the centers of its gold circles are black. I believe this decoration might have once been highlighted in red. But much of that color has faded off. All edges, including the rim of its short foot, are gilt trimmed. Condition: Generally great. While neither piece has any chips or cracks. The interior of the body's mouth has 3 small nicks(obviously unnoticeable with the lid on) Its hand painted decoration shows wear commensurate with age and bubbles common to this type of glass are present. Antique 1800's mantel clock topper finial lead greek soldier figure- Please read
let me start off with saying. I honestly dont know exactly how old it is or what type of clock it went to so i'm just guessing by the research i'm able to do. any information a person can give me would be greatly appreciated. likewise, i have no idea on value since i dont know if it goes to a 5,000 dollar clock or a 50,000 dollar clock or even it's exact age or rarity. as best as i can figure out. It's designed as a greek soldier with an outfit from around 400BC. it's very heavy and fairly soft so i believe it's lead(non magnetic) and painted black. i dont know if the paint is original or not. the screw and nut is hand made so i know it's quite old. i believe early 1800's his shield is oval with a diamond pattern around the edge and music note design on the shield itself. his right hand is resting on a long ... morehandled axe by his leg and he has a dagger or short sword at his belt. i think his armor is lamellar but it could be scale mail. i dont think he has a helmet as it looks like he has long hair the screw is about 1 3/4 inches and figure is about 4 1/2 inches tall his arm has a flat spot. I'm guessing at some time he was dropped. and his nose is a little silver from a rub or scrap as well as the bottom corners of his pedestal

Vintage Glass and Brass Aladdin Lamp Finial Flowers Iris/Lilly
This is for a nice lamp finial that may be Aladdin but not for sure. I could not find out any information on it. It has a brass or brass coated bottom and clear glass round top with raised flowers of some sort. It is in nice used condition with no cracks. There is a makers flaw in that there is roughness on the top edge where there is some chipping on the mold seam but it is only on the mold seam. see close-up picture) I kept meaning to take it to town with me to the glass shop to have it ground and smoothed down. Like it should have been done at the factory but keep forgetting to take it with me so selling it as is, otherwise in great shape. It measures approx. 3 ½” tall x 2 ¼” across the round.
