There are two old glass door knobs that are in good condition with no chips/cracks/breaks/damage or repair and two knob hardware pieces that abut to the lock set. There is also the lock set. I think the black box area behind it is cast iron because. Overall, this is all so heavy, but not sure, and it reads"NORWALK" also. There is a skeleton key hole on each side of the black box. Vtg Antique Old Miniature Small Victorian VR Lock Brass Padlock and Skeleton Key
This auction is for a great antique miniature English brass lever padlock with a hollow barrel skeleton key. The lock is in great condition with no dings. Dents, or scratches, and still works perfectly! To operate, the key needs to be inserted and then pulled against the top of the body when turned which will move the lever to lock and unlock the lock. The front of the lock is stamped with a sun on either side of the keyhole and'VR' on the dust cover and this stands for'Victoria Regina' and was basically the patent mark put on items produced during her reign(1837-1901) It is know as the'Queen's. Or Sovereign's Cypher' and means'Property of the Crown' This lock was acquired with a few other miniature locks of the same design from an English dealer. And it has been exceptionally well preserved throughout ... moreits lifetime as is demonstrated through the photos. This is a fantastic display piece that would compliment an older trinket box.
