I did take a photo of an original ad from Deming's 1891 catalog high lighting this pump. The patina is really nice with what looks to be the original red paint lettering. Just found at a farm here in Sutton Ma this weekend. No damage that I can see anywhere. The handle doesnt go up or down but I'm sure a little oil can fix that. Antique Vintage Red Jacket Cast Iron Well Water Pump Diverter Conductor Pat 1926
Up for auction is a cast iron Red Jacket water conductor/ diverter for a well water hand pump. It was hung from a hook close to the end of the spigot of a hand pump for well water. The wire bail went over the hook on the pump and a piece of pipe was threaded into the opening at the bottom of the diverter( pic 3) The bottom of the diverter could rotate 360 degrees and would direct water from the pump to a variety of containers. It is approx. 5 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. The inlet where the spigot goes is 2 5/8" in diameter. If you collect Red Jacket pumps this piece would be the finishing touch to one of your pumps. Would also of course fit other pumps as well. The cast iron is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. US shipments only. Thanks for looking. Up for bid is an antique F.E. Myers& Bro cast iron hand water pump. It has the original green paint— and vestiges of the original yellow label or stamp is on the body(see pictures 2-4) This great antique is about 43 inches tall from the base to the top of the pump; at its widest from the handle. It's 13 inches across; the spout sticks out 6 inches from the body; and the handle is approximately 32 1/2 inches long. Please look at all 12 pictures for a full description of the pump. Spout support arm for an old hand crank cistern pump. It was screwed fast to the wood frame of the pump after it was slid over the spout. The hole for the spout is 2 1/4" and when screwed fast there is 5" from the wood pump to the iron ring. Any questions just ask.

14 years ago. My mother-in-law came to live with us. Recently widowed, she left her house as it was, came to Oregon and said she was never going back home. We told her we would pack her house up, pack EVERYTHING, and bring here for her to sort through at her pleasure. Her house was much like a museum. She was an avid and well known antique dealer and collector in Los Angeles in the mid to later 1900's. We moved over 700 boxes of items from her house. Along with many pieces of furniture. 1 of her pieces has been on the Antique Road Show. I built a 7000 sq. foot building to accommodate all her collections. She never opened a box. She died about 6 years ago. And we have just begun the process of going through the boxes ourselves. It is an arduous process. Some items will go to concession dealers. Some are given away, some things donated, ... moresome are kept and some things are offered here. I used to write a bit of the history at the beginning of each ad. I have decided to write this, and when a bit of provenance fits, I will include this introduction. These items were collected many years ago by a very sweet and knowledgeable lady. Wish she was here to tell me about each item we offer, but, I am on my own, and will do my best to describe. This is an unusual pump. It has a bullet head shaped top. Cast iron top cap and bottom with the center being brass. The 2 halves fit tightly together and held fast by 2 long bolts. It has the old Montgomery Wards"MW"logo on the cap. Part numbers are embossed on each piece that is used in the assembly. The base has No. 81 STD 5954 and the piece number 2 SE. The handle has 2 SB. On the cap, above the MW is 2 SA. Under the spout is 2 SD. Somewhere on the pump should be a single unit piece with"SD C" but I did not see it. I deduced that,

It has two brass tubes and cast iron pieces. I am not sure if the paint is original or not. There is some gold highlighting to the letters. Made by FE Myers from Ohio. It has what I think is the original hose. And there is a small oval white rubber tag on the hose with some lettering that is hard to see. On the top of the tubes under the handle is a small attachment that unscrews and I believe you can attach to the end of the hose. The seals are all gon so it will need to be rebuilt to work. This is an Antique Deming Co. RED Cast Iron Hand Water Well Pump. It says Deming Co. Salem, Ohio USA. It appears to have new red paint on it. I am not positive but think that this is probably from the 1920's or 1930's. It has a G7 on it and AA3937. It measures about 18 or 19" high. I know nothing about this piece at all. I do not know if it is all present or if what is present works. I have tried to show as many photographs as possible so that you can evaluate this piece. Email for more photographs if needed. It has two brass tubes and cast iron pieces. I am not sure if the paint is original or not. There is some gold highlighting to the letters. Made by FE Myers from Ohio. It has what I think is the original hose. And there is a small oval white rubber tag on the hose with some lettering that is hard to see. On the top of the tubes under the handle is a small attachment that unscrews and I believe you can attach to the end of the hose. The seals are all gon so it will need to be rebuilt to work. For your bidding pleasure. I picked this old hand pump up at a farmers estate auction in south eastern Ohio recently. The crank works. The inside rod was a little rusted so I cleaned it up a little so that it would screw into the handle. It measures from the bottom to the top of the spout is 47 inches. Pump handle is 28 inches. The only identification on this pump is R3 on the side of the pump body. There is a chunck missing from the top of the body but when you put the cap on it is covered. Antique cast iron hydraulic ram water pump that looks to be in very good rebuildable condition with no visible cracks. Repairs or missing parts. I am not sure of the manufacturer, Douglas or Deming, as the only markings is an 842 cast into the air chamber. It stands about 10 1/2" tall, weighs about 22 pounds, has a 1" inlet, 3/4" outlet, the threads look good and the brass valve moves freely. The mounting base has a 5" x 5 1/4" bolt pattern. Antique A. Y. McDonald Mfg Cast Iron Well Cistern Hand Pump
This is for the antique A. Y. McDonald Mfg cast iron well cistern hand pump pictured. I have added 12 pictures total which will show the measurements. This shows age. Use, and wear with lots of surface rust. There is a lot of surface rust with some small areas of original paint left. The handle moves up and down as it should but does have a lot of side to side play due to many years of use. The holes are somewhat out of round and some of the bolts are not original. One of the ears on the handle mount has recent weld on it but it appears to be a solid weld and it can be seen in the pictures. Given enough time this should turn rusty with the rest of the pump. This will be partially disassembled for a more cost-effective and safer shipping. Care should be taken when reassembling it as to not over tighten the bolts which could crack or break ... morethe cast iron. Antique Brass. Cast Iron and Wood Hand Air Pump. The base is cast iron, The tube is brass, and the handle is brass and wood. The hose looks to be original, but is very stiff. It says made in the USA on the bottom, and is stamped with a B with a square around it. The handle moves up and down freely. But it will not hold pressure. The thin wire in the picture is just there to hold the hose on. The hose is disconnected, and probably dry rotted. Let me know if you have any questions.
