Vintage Antique F.E. Myers Manual Transfer Pump Cast Iron
Very unique and rare F.E. Myers manual transfer pump. This one is Cool! The piston is free and moves easily. The castings are all in nice shape with no crack breaks or welds. All you need is a good cleanup and a nice wooden handle and you will be pumping. I did not take this pump apart. So not sure what it looks like inside. From what I can see through the inlet/outlet ports, there appears to be dirt and rust inside, but like any of these old pumps it should clean up well and be very functional. There is part of the original sticker intact along with stenciling on the side. The brass relief port at the end is in nice shape. All of the bolts/nuts look they will easily removed with no major rusting of the threads. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any other pictures. This is an ANTIQUE VINTAGE cast iron hand well water(cistern? pump used for farm. Garden or home. It has on the top, Columbiana Pump Co. Columbiana Ohio Fig19A 467" On the side"made in USA 474A" Have no idea how old, it has a pipe attached to it which we will remove. If you pick up the pump you can have the pipe, if not I will not ship the pipe. The pump has original green paint and age related fading. The pump is approx.22" and the handle is about 16" Pump handle is not frozen.

For your consideration is this Antique/Vintage Cast Iron& Brass Manual 18" Water Pump. It is stamped into the cast iron on the top"Peter's Pump Co. and"Kewanee. IL. In 1888 Mr. Peter Wistrand founded the Peter's Pump Co. in Kewanee. IL. In 1890 Mr. Fredrick Guenther bought an interested in the company. Peter Wistrand sold his interest in the company in 1904, and two of Mr. Guenther's relatives joined him in the venture. I am not an expert on old water pumps. So I can't say exactly what year this was made, but the small amount of information I could find indicates it's probably early 1900's. The handle moves freely, but I'm not sure it actually pumps water at this time(not sure it has all inner workings to do that) it has not been tested. This Hand Operated Water Well Pump. Model NS4, from the Fairbury Windmill Co. Fairbury Nebr. was pumping water when Bonnie& Clyde were roaming the plains. It is from the 20s or early 30s, It is a true heirloom antique. It has a beautiful natural patina, from years of use. There is a small crack in the spout which probably occurred in the casting process, and was not noticed until the original red paint had worn sufficiently away. It has been there some 80 or 90 some years and is not likely to get any worse. This pump has been completely disassembled, and painstakingly cleaned and inspected. It is complete and in perfect working order. This is one of the largest of this kind of pumps. It is 20" tall, base diameter is 8 1/2" cap diameter is 6 1/8" and the width from spout to handle is 10 5/8" Weight is 25 pounds. It appears that someone has recently painted it. This design of pump has the rotating head design. Just losen the bolt and rotate the head and handle to which ever way you desire. This fine old piece would look great in your garden! Approximate Measurements The pump is 17" tall. The base has a 8" diameter. The handle is 18" long and the spout is 4" long. Markings Red Jacket Mfg Co. Davenport Ia. Condition Good condition for its age. There is one area on the handle that has been repaired. See pictures. Antique McDonald well water pump manufactured in Dubuque. Iowa. This is in extremely good condition! Missing one square nut and that bolt is stripped but can be replaced easily. Pump has been inside our home since it was built in 1900. It was used for cistern water in our basement. I cut the supply pipe off on the bottom and if you want to actually use it. You would need to heat that up with a torch to remove the pipe. All of the other nuts and bolts cam loose without effort. No cracks or chips in this pump. It has spent it's life in our basement. Water ram waterram pump in good original shape- it has not been used in years and the seals need to be replaced and the whole item needs a good cleaning but this should work when restored as it has no major flaws or broken parts( the brass part moves very nicely and seems all good) as shown surface rust w/ some associated pitting but seems fine- some nicks and scratches from being used. Antique Monarch Engineering Cast Iron Electric Water Pump Vtg 1920's Steampunk
Old cast iron water pump with"The Monarch Engineering Co. Dayton, Ohio" cast into the base along with six patent dates ranging from 1917 to 1922. Cast iron cover for the electrical connections has an old decal with a lion's head and reads"Monarch Automatic Electric Water Systems" Has it's original 1/8 horse power electric motor made by Leland Motor"Built Special For The Monarch Engineering Co" Nice brass tag says the pump is Style#100, Serial number 13347. Red cast iron base for the electrics also has Monarch Engineering Patent Pending cast into it. I believe this type of pump would have been used in the basement of farm houses to pump water inside from a cistern. This one has obviously been well taken care of- original paint is very good and I see no rust other than to the insides of the pipe fittings ... moreand some of the screw heads. I see no cracks. Chips, breaks, or repairs. The plugs at the top of the primer( bowls didn't move with the 8" Crescent I was using- these will need some soaking. According to the brass tag. The electric motor is designed for 110 or 220 volts. I used jumper wires to connect it to 110 and ran the motor for a few minutes. It sounds good with no bearing noise, but I'm sure a few drops of oil in the oiler caps would be a good idea. Pump turns easily but with some resistance- like it should. I'm guessing there are leathers inside that should be looked at before the pump is tried out as they may need some leather treatment if you want to use this. You will need to find a flat belt to run the pump. Threads inside the pipe connections look good. I can't guarantee the pump to work, but I see nothing broken or missing that would prevent it from working. There is an old mud dauber nest inside one of the pipes that needs to be removed. This wasn't terribly dirty when found, but there is still some old grime under the electric motor and other hard-to-reach spots. This is sold AS IS! Antique Myers & Bro Cast Iron Hand Water Pump - Made In Ohio - Green Paint
This wonderful Antique hand water well pump is marked F.E. Myers& Bro Ashland O for Ohio. It's is stamped with No. 2446. The main body measures 26” tall and 20” wide with central cylinder 7" diameter. The original handle is 44" long and the parts move. It has been mounted on a wooden plank as shown in photos. I have not tested this with water so sold as seen. I see no chips or cracks to the cast iron and seem to be in good condition. The paint is cracked. Flaking in places and there is a little surface rust. It has been stored in a dry barn for decades hence the unusual good condition of the paint and body. This is a fantastic piece. There is no shipping available on this piece and must be picked up as weighs in a whopping 98lbs.
