Although the design on the lock and door plates are often refered to as the"Ceylon" pattern. That name was limited to the knob design seen with this set. This set includes a matching strike plate that has been opened up a bit, but otherwise looks fine. The switch on the face plate of the lock allows the door to be closed in a prelocked position and the included latch bolt key is needed to properly utilize this feature. The set includes one bronze faced reversible entry mortise lock. Two"Ceylon" pattern knobs, one large door plate and round knob escutcheon, matching strike plate, single keyhole cover, and both the latchbolt and deadbolt keys. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle with new set screws. The set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice functioning lock set ready to be installed. The mortise lock's backset to the keyhole is 2 5/8" and the face plate is 6 13/16" tall x 1" wide. The lock box is 4 5/8" tall x 5/8" thick x 3 9/16" deep. The large door plate is 7 1/4" tall x 1 15/16" wide. The knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. Overall condition is very good. Measurements: 14 cm(5.5 inches) tall by 10,5 cm(4,1inches) wide by 3 cm(1,2 inches) deep. We are selling 2 items. Cast figures at top show a bit of residue from metal polish in the crevasses. This is for a lovely old brass door knocker from around 1900 that depicts an armorial crest. That being the bear and ragged staff, which i believe is related to Warwick and Warwickshire. The back plate has three holes for attaching to a door and there is a registered design number that I can not read on the back. It is a lovely old knocker with a good look and feel, it is completely unpolished with a nice rich warm patina to the metal. It is in absolute excellent condition with no damage to it at all. Measuring 8" long 3.25" wide and 2" deep is this antique cast iron Kenrick Door Knocker. The piece has some nice aesthetic shape to it and is a heavy piece, impressed to the reverse Kenrick 405, it does have some problems, there is a thick black paint over the top and it is broken and partially repaired to the lower section(all pictured) not sure if its an,e to be repaired but may fit the purpose as is!

Victorian Metal Door Bell - PRESS - Reclamation - Antique - All Original
This is an original Victorian'Press' door bell. The surround is made from metal. Brass coated copper I believe, and the central button is white ceramic with the word PRESS in a dark grey lettering. Still intact, it has the casing attached to the back and just a very short piece of the original bell wire still in place. I can't confirm exactly what needs to be done to get this working again. On either side there is a small hole for the screws which would hold it in place on the architrave surrounding the front door. The push mechanism works beautifully and springs out immediately and cleanly after pressing. There are traces of white paint on the edges and black paint on the metal, both of which will easily come off with cleaning. It measures 3" 7.5cm) across. Antique 1800's mechanical doorbell made by Sargent& co. The bell itself is copper and original not a repro. I myself over 40 years ago removed this from a backdoor of an old mansion in Weehawken NJ after the door was broken into. The bell is fully functional and the finish has not been tampered with.it is all original. The turn key that was on the door exterior is covered with old paint which can be left as original or easily cleaned by dipping in paint stripper. Face is quite decorative with a little green oxidation on the bell which also would clean easy if desired. Great piece of functional history for a collector or could actually be mounted as a functional doorbell for either a restoration or curiosity. Second is an electrical push button bell and brass cast face plate. These were sandwiched together. The larger plate that went ... morebehind the push button plate is either cracked or cut next to the large round hole I think if memory serves that allowed the plate to be installed without removing the wires on the button. They both have paint on them which should clean off easily with some stripper. Beautiful decorative casting designs and are absolutely original items. Third is a door knob plate that is also covered with yucky paint and is brass with more beautiful cast designs under the heavy paint layer. It;s the style meant for a mortise lock with the old skeleton key. Looks as if once the paint is stripped it will clean up real nice. Fourth is a letter drop plate also covered with the same yuck paint and I think it is brass or possibly iron with some iron hinge parts. Very nice design and lettering and also a real antique. Fifth is a set of brass plated interior door knob plates I think they are iron and brass plated. these have a couple of dents which could be easily pushed back into shape. pretty plain and standard mortise lock style. A handsome and heavy piece and as you can see with great patina as the finish is now dulled on the handle part as there had been a lacquer applied to keep it shiny.
