70s-80s Gibson H/S guitar case OO size, all original, Gibson badge door pocket
This is from the 70s-80s era I think. A Gibson Hardshell case. Not as heavy or sturdy as the cases today, but still ample protection for the era. 4 closers, all work. There is some flanging on the top trim binding@ neck position, in pic 3&5, case closes as designed, works properly. The Gibson badge is on top of the storage compartment, the original leather pull is long gone, the interior is in very good condition. I must state the construction, is much more durable in cases today. This case does have an arched top, again this is for an OO size guitar. Here's a pair of antique. Victorian-era, recessed pocket door pulls in very good condition. They are made of cast bronze and are original, unpolished, and just as they were when they were removed. These handles date back to around 1885 and were made by the Norwalk Lock Company and have the numbers 08844 stamped on the backs. Each measures 2 1/16 inches wide, 5 3/4 inches tall, and 1/2 inch deep. Once cleaned up, these authentic Victorian pocket door pulls will be gorgeous! It's made of solid pine, and has 13 windows and 2 recessed panels underneath. Hardware: The door is not equipped with a lockset. However. These look to be in very good condition- nothing appears to broke or excessively worn. Mounting plate is 10" long x 1 1/2" wide- wheel is 3 1/2" diameter x 3/8" wide with 1/4" deep groove. Penn Antique Restoration. 30.5"x89" Antique Arched Door w/4 Raised Panels(3" THICK! Grand. Antique, pocket door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted white one side and finished on the other. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has 5. Raised, ... morehorizontal panels with lovely, stepped molding contouring the inner edges of each panel. Quirks& Considerations: The previous owner added hinges and a rim lock. And used the door as a standard, swinging door for one of the apartments in his building. They are made of solid, stamped/pressed brass, not plated iron/steel. At the point of salvage. The pulls were found dirty, lacquered, and heavily tarnished. Since then, we've cleaned them leaving some of the tarnish behind to preserve their aged look. The pull on the left side in the first photo has some deep scratches on the right side. Just outside of the recessed(cup) area. There is also a tiny dent that you could spot along the right edge, about 1" below the scratched area. The keyhole area of the same pull also has a few small dings around it-the previous owner obviously didn't have good aim with a key, or didn't see too well. Pair Complete Antique Iron Ives Parlor or Pocket Door Rollers & Mounting Plates
Pair of antique parlor or pocket door rollers in excellent working condition complete with mounting plates and original set screws. Patent dates on back of mounting plate: Dec. 5 1876. Jan. 1877, Feb. 6 1883, Oct. 9, 1883. Same decorative casting motifs as other pair of Ives I sold(patent 1886) but apparently prior to Ives trademark being set in the casting. They measure 10" x 6 1/2" and have dual tracking ~ 4" wheels with 5 spokes. Everything seems to work properly. Mounting plate has 7 screw holes and there is an adjustable set screw which turns freely, and a locking screw'keeping' the mounting plates. No cracks or chips in casting. Sold as is. This is the last of three pair I had stored in a barn for 50 years. Questions answered before bidding.
