These hinges were salvaged from an old turn of the century barn that was being taken down and have a beautiful old metal patina. They all open and close easily and are very usable with strong joints; prefect parts for an old barn board project. O riginal oxidized blue paint. Collectors will know this old paint. Which started as blue-black. But with age it oxidizes to a g reenish color. F ront corner joints are dovetailed. I t has the original wrought iron strap hinges.Handles and key hole. It still has a lot of the old square headed nails. But over the years some nails have been replaced. Iron Strap Door Hinges Antique Architectural & Garden
Iron strap DOOR HINGES Antique. Architectural& Garden, Hardware, other A handsome pair of VINTAGE IRON STRAP DOOR HINGES… They are nicely rusted. The ends of the hinge pins still retain the red paint from the barn or shed that they were last used on. The HINGES are 10” in total length. WITH is 5 ¼” x 2 ¾” ATTACHED PLATES, they are 1/8” thick and the 2 weight 4lbs. I don’t believe the hinge pin can be removed and I think they will need a ½” head screw. Though I like the sound of the squeak they make, they need some oiling. The rust can be removed and I thought I’d leave that to their new owner, I like it. I would be happy to answer any questions.

PAIR of Antique Bronze Door Strap Hinges 6" by 10" 9 Hole
These hinges are in great condition with moderate signs of use. They are actually 5 7/8" by 9 7/8" and are cast bronze. They have free movement and swing open 180 degrees. The only mark I see is a readable 10 on the back of one. There is some extra metal on one of them that never got trimmed. I'll leave that and the cleaning to you. I notice the hinge pins have little keeper pins to keep them from falling out. All the edges are beveled and I think these would display very nicely. Please email any questions. Thank you.

This wooden carpenter's tool box was discovered at a small flea market in upper Bucks County Pennsylvania. Chock full of rusty-dirty charm. This box has outer strap hinges that were riveted on with brass. A set of strap hinges were added down the middle for added strength, these were fastened with antique wood screws. The bottom part of the padlock latch is attached to a modified strap hinge. The paint is chipped and chipping. There is an oil stain around the hinge of the padlock latch, someone penciled a circle on the lid*under* the handle- so the circle, apparently, is from before the handle was added.and that handle has been attached for a long time! Inside there is a tray with a hole cut out of it to accommodate some unknown tool of yester-year. The tray must have been made from an old crate as the word"GLASS" can still ... morebe seen stenciled on one board. On the outside. Below the lid, there is a thin notch, one can only wonder what function that notch was cut for. The often missing handles on the side are firmly attached with antique wood screws. Measures: 31. 15/16 inches wide- 9, 3/8 inches deep and 10, 1/2 inches tall. This box is sturdy with no loose screws. Inside the shelf is dirty, there are water stains on the bottom and inside. A pair of early strap hinges with pintles door hardware
A nice pair of short strap hinges. They are 18th/early 19th century. The hinges are 11"11 2/2" long. They are in great condition. The pintles are not original to the hinges-but work well in them. These hinges will work well on a small door or even on a cupboard. The pintles by themselves are worth $15 a pair. Ask questions if interested. Watch for my other early iron.
