Here is another old door bell button. We got a group of these mid 20th century door bell or buzzer buttons and it is fun to see all of the different designs. This one is a tudor or gothic revival style. It is 3 15/16 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide. The metal cover or back plate is a heavy aluminum covered with black paint finish. The finish has a couple of spots of silver paint on it. Plus light wear around the edges. The button is plastic. This vintage button will look great on an older home or a home made from traditional materials like brick or stone.

Polished and checked it for functionality. It has a Luminous push that glows purple/blue ... morein darkness. It measures 2 1/2" 64mm) in length by 1" 25mm) wide, and comes with original fixing screws and box. Mains Bakelite Bell Transformer- Made in England by V&E 89mm(3 1/2" by 56mm(2 1/4" and 43mm(1 3/4" high. 200 to 250V AC input. 3, 5 and 8 V output. I have repaired one of the fixing holes with 2 part epoxy resin and coloured in black. TANGENT Bakelite and Chrome Door Bell- 150mm(6" by 95mm(2 3/4" max by 50mm(2" high max. The Aluminium Bell has polished up nicely. The ringer arm shows a minimal amount of surface rust but overall the bell is in very good condition and has a lovely ring. As with all the Bakelite items I sell. I have cleaned and polished the Bakelite both on professional buffing wheels(using different grades of polishing compounds) and then by hand with GPO developed Bakelite Cleaner No. 5 Paste to bring back the shine followed by 2 coats of Pure Beeswax Balsam to protect it for years to come. Made in NYC by the Cheshill Co. the only thing I could find on the net on this company is patent fraud in 1941 against their mfg chain lock patents. So am Seriously thinking there were not many of these made. I have spent quite alot of time searching for this and was not able to find one quite like this or made by this company. You are bidding on an orginal Vintage Door Bell which I've been told is probably from the early 1900's(NOT CONFIRMED) but the overall appearance says that it may be from that time period. It measures 2- 7/16" wide by 5- 7/8" long. It is a really neat piece and in great shape. As you can see in the picture. The back of the bell still has the red and black wire that may be the orginal but cannot authenticate that. T his is a 1930's era door chime that utilizes a synchronous motor that rotates through a set of contacts to activate little solenoids to hit the chimes. Very clever design. I t also has the entryway nightlight that has a pull chain so you can turn it off. Very nice tone. T he top mechanism is covered with an art deco aluminum 2 piece cover. T he chimes measure 38. 41, 43, 50 inches. Please note that this is well over 70 years old and even though it is in pretty damn good shape for it's age it does have some scratches and wear. the strings that hold the chimes are getting a little long in the tooth so you may want to think about replacing them. From a local estate. Here is an awesome old spring-style door bell. Features a steel or iron spring with a pull handle at the back, the bell is brass with an iron clapper. The bell is about 3.75" across the bottom, the spring assembly is about 6.5" across. It is currently mounted to an old piece of wood, should probably be taken off and mounted properly. 4 Vintage Brass Chime Bell Tubes Grandfather Clock Door Bell Nutone?
I found these at a recent estate sale. They were part of a collection which included a complete Nutone K44 door chime. These are not marked but are in nice condition. I have another set up now too so have a look if interested. This set plays the Westminster chime and they sound great. They are all 1 1/8” diameter. The longest is 50 ½” and the shortest is 38 3/8” The 43 ½” tube has a stress crack at the bottom and the top and there is a stress crack in one of the others at the top as well. This does not affect the chime as they all have a great resonating long ring. They will need to cleaned. If desired, as some have masking tape residue on them. Vintage K-44 K44 Nutone Door Bell Chime Doorbell Brass Chimes Westminster RARE
Please note that my gallery image is not of the chime I am selling. The pictures in the listing are of the chime you are bidding on. There are 4 brass chime tubes and the wall unit. I don’t know if it is complete or how it is wired so it is untested. Two of the tubes have small stress cracks near the top where the tube attaches to a round plate so the cracks do not affect the quality of the sound at all. Each has a great resonating long ring. The electronics look to be in very good cosmetic condition. The plastic cover needs a cleaning. It has a small chip on the bottom. The top cover is present. It has a loudness adjustment knob and I think it also has a light(there is a small bulb at the top. The longest tub is 57 ½” and the shortest is 37 3/8” with all having 1 1/8” diameter.
