Antique Corbin Brass/copper door lock set/plates/knobs/lock/no key July 17,1900
This is a old door lock set that we removed from our antique door. It looks like brass or copper not sure which one or both. It surely needs to be restored as needs some cleaning. The date on the back of the plates say July 17.1900. The plates are two different sizes one is 7" and the other 10" It says Corbin on the lock. It looks like a matched set because of the dates on each of the plates and the color. It looks like black with the copper and brass. On the lock at the top it has a S34. That's about all I know. A great antique set of Door knobs with Mortise latch and Ornate press brass door Plates. Manufactured by Russell and Erwin MFG. Co. New Britain, Ct. Dated on knob base) Pat April 12, 92 Needs some tender loving care. Mortise latch needs stripped and some interior spring work, as you can see door plates need some paint removed. Missing the thumb knob from interior lock and also the Key. This does have a copper tone to it. Might be brass plated copper, or cooper plated brass, don't know. SET/10 Vtg 1950's Brass Drawer Door Pulls Knobs Cabinet Handles~Bronze/Copper
These are so unique! SET OF 10 VINTAGE 1950s DRAWER/DOOR PULLS I know these are from the 1950s because they came off of two night stands that were purchased new for my husband's bedroom when he was a boy in the 1950s. I believe these are brass. And they are colored a very dark brown/bronze color, and highlighted with a copper color. Four of the pulls are shaped sort of like a rounded triangle. They measure about 1-5/8" at the widest part. By about 1-1/2" long. One of them(the one on the far right in the photos above) has a few dings and dents. The six little round knobs measure about 3/4" in diameter. All 10 pulls come with the original screw backs. Enjoy~!

This lock set came from an auction in Vermont. It does not come with a key. The backset is marked Sargent. The door knobs are made of either brass or copper. I am missing the screw for one knob. The side plates are tin. They measures 7 1/8" tall and 2 3/16" wide. The face plate measures 5 1/4" tall and 7/8" wide. There is quite abit of rust and use/wear marks.

Vintage Yale Door Knobs with plates -steel, copper and brass coated, hardware
This set works. I took it off an old door from my grandmother's house. I didn't strip the paint off of it but have left it in the condition I found it in. The pieces are steel(magnet sticks to them) but appear to have been coated with copper on the door knobs and brass on the plates. As you can see this was on a door that led to the outside as one knob shows more weathering then the other. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Each set includes 2 steel knobs, 2 stamped steel escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with 1 working key, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 set screws to connect the knobs. Originally. All parts were copper plated, however only traces of copper remain. The amount of copper varies from part to part(see"Group photos" to compare) Please note that due to the lighting in our shop, the copper plating looks orange in the photos, but it's actually a pinkish-red ... morecolor to the naked eye. At the point of salvage all parts were covered under layers of paint. And were dirty and rusty(see last photo) Since then, we've removed the paint and cleaned all parts to the best of our ability. The knobs and escutcheons have a simple. Straightforward Arts& Crafts style design. You could tell that the hardware came from a well-maintained home because they are in great condition! The metal around one of the keyholes is slightly bent. But it looks worse in the photos than in person. Otherwise, there are the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hardware, but no breaks, cracks, or gouges. Each lock was opened. Inspected, and we sprayed machine oil on and around all parts to facilitate their movement. A key was made especially for each lock, and we could make more for $6/key-email us after the auction if you are interested. UP FOR AUCTION IS A CORBIN MORTISE DOOR LOCK IT HAS 2 KEY HOLES AND BUTTONS AND DEAD BOLT ON SIDE, The deadbolt is thrown by the lower keyhole from either side of the door. The split spindle allows the doorknobs to rotate independently and the buttons on the lock face provide an additional independent level of security(with or without the deadbolt) Pushing one button in keeps the outside doorknob from turning(the strike will not retract) You can still open the door by the interior doorknob. With the buttons in this position you can enter the house using a skeleton key in the upper keyhole. It retracts the strike and you would simply push the door open. Pushing the other button in allows both doorknobs to rotate so the door can be opened from either side. I do not have keys for the upper or lower keyhole function. 2 MATCHING VINTAGE BRASS COPPER ? DECOR DOOR KNOBS NICE PATINA
These are old door knobs. They came off the same door, one has a red copper looking patina, the other has a yellower brass like patina. They came out of my parents home which was built in the 20's, my mother doesn't remember when they were installed. It could have been the 40's or 50's. Don't know what they are made of. A magnet is attracted to them, they don't look like they are plated so they might have a steel core with brass or copper over them? They are just very nice looking old door knobs. I took pictures from different angles to try and capture the colors.

These were used as kitchen and bathroom cupboard drawer pulls. They measure 2" in diameter and use about a 3/8" screw in back. They appear to be in very nice. Gently used vintage condition. They may need to be cleaned up a bit. So if you have a project that needs some authentically vintage drawer pulls you just might want to consider these. Hi. My name is Laurie, and I have a thing for antique hardware. Hi Laurie" I live in a 150 year old house. So some of it is to keep, but mainly, it is the hunt through coffee cans and cigar boxes to find grungy bits of metal that I can coax back to life that thrills me. I spend WAY more time polishing and cleaning said bits than I do on my dusty old house. Fortunately, my husband is a contractor who specializes in historical restoration, so he is patient, if not encouraging. This weeks rescue includes: 2 Knobs- Brass over copper. These have a really lovely patina. Some corrosion on the back of the knob(but I had to draw the line somewhere) There is a little copper showing through a on one knob on the inner side. They are 2-1/4" wide and 2" deep 1 Connecting Shaft with adjustable length holes 3-7/8" 2 Copper over metal ... moreBack plates measuring 7" x 2-1/4" some corrosion. And metal showing through in places. Love the detail 2 Original Screws 1 copper ring(adjustment? 1 Copper over metal Locking mechanism measuring Face: 5-1/4" x 15/16" Body 3-5/8" x 3-1/8" x 1/2" I found this set. Felt compelled to rescue it, and spent a lot of time cleaning the grime off of it. Lots. There is still some corrosion on one of the plates, but since I decided not to use it myself- I need to pass the torch on. Were I to keep it, I'd either take the plates down to metal and rub on a finish, re-plate(some fun diy methods out there) or just paint black. I leave it up to you. Note that the last photo which shows the plates and the lock face shows a little more polishing. I just couldn't leave well enough alone. So. The other photos will show them a little more tarnished. I will ship this in the most economical method possible. Making money on postage is not my goal. I pack carefully. And try to photograph everything in detail so that you know what you are getting.
