The chest is unsigned but attributed to John Needles of Baltimore who was a famous cabinet maker back then. It measures 41 inches in height. The top is 49.5x19.5 inches. It is original finish and very clean. I believe the pulls are original as well. It is well made and a beautiful chest with the pronounced birds eye drawer fronts. It is well made which is how the old cabinet makers used to make them. Due to the size of this piece it either needs to be picked up here on Cape Cod or it must be shipped freight at the cost of the purchaser. We can recommend a couple of freight shippers on the east coast who do a very nice job for a reasonable price. Vintage Miniature Doll Dresser Top Accessories? Adorable!
Presented here for your bidding consideration is a lot of vintage miniature accessories for your Vintage German and French bisque fashion dolls! All of these exquisite little dresser top items will fit neatly into the trunk of your favorite antique fashion doll and or may be used in charming dollhouse vignettes. For size reference. I show the entire group with a 20" German bisque beauty and the heart pendant is displayed on the lapel of a 27" doll. The pendant has enamel roses with gold and purple rhinestones. It is really pretty on a vintage pin. The heart is 3/4" wide.The various pieces lend themselves for use with more than one size of doll. Below I will describe the individual pieces in more detail. There is an interesting brass trinket/ pill box of vintage buttons.It is 1" 1/2 x 1' and 3/4" tall. The top ... moreof it is a beautiful green bake-lite feel with gold umbrella and flowers. It looks lovely when paired with some of the other vanity items. The masculine porcelain figurine is stamped Japan and is 4 1/4" tall. Bottle is 2 1/2" tall. A basket of antique millinery flowers( 2 1/2" wide by 1 3/4" tall) to adorn a lady's dressing table is included. The sturdy metal key is on a vintage chain. It is an inch long. The Vintage miniature hat is on a make due stand.adored with vintage millinery and lace. The hat base is a soft burlap-like fabric. Fabulous hat. It is 4" wide and the center is 1 1/2" wide. Eyeglasses are gold tone with perfect little hinges and lay on miniature book of bible verses. The sweet rabbit figurine is believed to be Hagen Renaker but is not on a card.
