This is a most notable high design piece accented with a highly figured Lacewood and string inlays on all its leading edge panels. We have to air to caution and categorize this is a very early 20th Century Circa 1900 made piece. We strongly suspect its a 19th Century piece of furniture. Without tearing down the fabric from the frame we can't study is constructive techniques so we have to make the safe call. What we are certain about is that is a magnificent Loveseat that transcends several stylistic influences from Neoclassical. Classic English Adams and American Sheraton. This was reupholstered in the last decade. The upholstery is in fairly good condition but we would recommend a lightly cleaning if you decide to keep it on this frame. These are straight easy to install panels so doing it over should not be labor cost prohibitive. It is defined with cut away side panels, delicate acanthus carved inlaid columns and a cut away back panel. It is 47 1/2" long, 21" wide and 44" tall with a 20" high seat. It measures 76" long, 28" high, seat is 30" deep and 36" when extended. The pull out feature works smoothly. The seat cushion is not attached. It has a square tubular brushed chrome and steel frame and legs and light blue tweed fabric. There is a frayed area on the front bottom right corner of the bottom platform and there is some minor discoloration but it has not been steamed cleaned. I believe it is by Rowe furniture company(because I bought it with a set of stuff by Rowe) but I cannot find a maker's tag. As you can see in the one photo. The part under the cushions is upholstered too, which is very unusual. So if it's not Rowe, this may be a custom piece, I am not sure. It is well made and a nice heavier weight. About 8 feet long! Overall it looks really good for its age, but there is fading to the fabric as you can see, and it definitely needs to be reupholstered. I bought this second hand to reupholster some day but we decided to start a family soon and we need the storage space for other stuff. This was owned by a smoker before us(we are not smokers) so there is a scent for which you will need some Febreze or something. Made of Teak. Eames-era three-cushion sofa and large matching chair. Selling as a set. Will not separate. Sofa measures 83" wide, 31" deep, 22" high at arms, and 16" cushion height. Chair measures a generous 35" wide, 31" deep, 22" high at arms, and 16" cushion height. Dimensions of Teak framing is 7/8" thick by 4-1/2" The visible height of the horizontal platform that the cushions sit on is about 2-1/2" tall. Sides and back are hinged to fold flat once a few recessed. Allen-head machine screws are removed. The base/platform that the cushions sit on separates in that process. Wood has some fading. Nicks, scratches, etc. was made in, and in daily use, since late 1970s. Cushions as seen in photos have had some quick, no-frills, home-made fabric slip covers wrapped around them. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. This listing is for a mid-century. Vintage couch or sofa. Brand is A. Brandt Ranch Oak. It is so sturdy and well-made! It has the original fabric covering, which a blue/cream/ombre stripe style, please view photos. The photo of the back of the couch shows some yellow, but that is just the camera. The fabric looks itchy, but it is not. The cushions could use a good steam cleaning, to brighten, as the back of the couch looks brighter than the cushions. This well-made couch is so comfortable. It is sturdy, but easily moved, even on carpeting, as it has 4 rollers underneath. The sides of the couch are interesting with lattice-style design sides. Parts of the black covering on the bottom of the couch has ripped away from the staples, but we reattached some of it, but could use a few more staples to hold the black fabric more securely. I am happy to offer such a long lovely comfy(in decent condition but needs professsional cleaning) Sofa upholstered in a needlepoint fabric. The sofa came from a very expensive estate. The owner was a Hollywood producer. Age is not exact but best guess from where it was purchased and my antique expertise.turn of the 20th century and a bit thereabouts. This is a very nice sofa frame. Suitable for country or formal decor, nice with an English manor house look or Americana. It's all about what you use for upholstery. Right now, as it sits, everything but the springs will need to be replaced. This is the way to buy a sofa. I bought it for the way it sits. ALL of the old camelback sofas from the middle of the 20th century- and earlier- sit like a sofa should sit. I am just fed up with hearing about it's important that a sofa be good for lying down. Folks- if a sofa is any darn good, you won't have to lie down. It should sit so that you can read the paper or read a book for extended periods without needing to lie down or see a chiropractor- or both. Really. This is a standard 7 foot sofa and will need 13 or so yards to cover it, depending on what sort of a pattern you choose. It ... moresits just great, but is worn out. Don't even think about saving any of the stuffing, foam, or whatever. Really. All of these soft goods absorb their surroundings and although I am catching no odors from this piece of furniture, it will have taken on enough of its human- and maybe pet- surrounding over the last 60 plus years that YOUR pets will tune in and that's the end of your beautiful new upholstery. So, that's my expert advice on this excellent hardwood frame. It's hard to convey in the few characters that they allow in an ITEM TITLE when you have some peculiar circumstance. Shipping is that sort of thing. I can't stick it in the mailbox. So: Transport. This is a little tricky. Hear me out. I am 100 south of Abilene and 225 West of Fort Worth. I do not expect that anyone who wants this lives close. I have options that do not include a delivery company but might involve some patience. OK. So get out your map. 1. Vintage Danish Modern Sofa by Folke Ohlsson for Dux - Couch Mid Century Modern
Vintage Scandinavian sofa. Attributed to Folke Ohlsson for Dux. Heavy cotton upholstery in soft tones of white, grey, lavender and cream. Curved back and exposed wooden frame make this sofa a perfect example of mid century Danish design. In very good vintage condition. With light wear due to age. Some scuffing to the wooden feet, as pictured. Fabric has some small snags and three or four droplet-sized stains, but none noticeable. A typical example is pictured. Cushions are upholstered on both sides, with neither side showing uneven wear. The rear cushion springs on the right side have softened in comparison to the left, but it is not noticeable visually. The sofa measures 82 inches long. 32 inches deep, and 31 inches high to the top of the backrest. The height from the ground to the top of the armrest at the front is 21.5 inches. The floral velvet material and cushions are in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The frame is in STRUCTURALLY EXCELLENT CONDITION and there are minor finish blemishes on the wooden arms and legs that could use touching up. The frame was made in the early 20th century. This sofa been in my childhood home since it was upholstered by my late father. An artisan upholsterer from Hungary, in the late 1960s. My father made this piece and a matching sitting chair for our living room. The sitting chair is in a separate listing. This was a one of my parents' collectible furniture pieces. The fabric is excellent as it has been covered with removable plastic covers since it was made. My father always chose the finest materials, ... moreand it has lasted very well over the years. Vintage Antique 1920's Era White Wicker Chaise Lounge Sofa Couch Chic and Shabby
This is a very nice vintage white wicker chaise lounge. It is very well constructed. With springs and a bottom cushion. It had a back cushion but I washed it and it didn't make it! It is hard to measure due to the shape, but measures approximately 63" in length from the top to the bottom edge of the cushion. 38" from the floor to the top of the back, and 24" across at the foot base. Please ask for specific items to be measured and I will do my best. Some of the brackets underneath are loose and need to be tightened. There is one spot on the front bottom that needs to be repaired where some of the wicker is broke(see pic) I think a bit of glue will fix this problem. Naturally there are signs of wear for it's age.
