It was built in 1924 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2000-2001 the building was converted to condominiums. The exterior facade of the building underwent restoration work in 2010. This pen functions smoothly. The refill is dried up and it will not write without a replacement refill. I leave replacement up to the buyer to ensure they get the ink color and tip size they prefer. I do not stock refills at the present time. The dial numbers are porcelain, dial is metal. The phone has leather footings. Condition: The phone has been updated with a modern modular phone jack. The phone has been tested and you will be able to make and receives calls. The case has no cracks or heavy scratches. The dial spins smoothly. The finish is dull but I believe it will shine up nicely. The numbers on the dial are a little worn. The"1" being the most faded. There is a tiny bit of paint splatter, nothing serious. It still has a beautiful luster with only a few age scuffs. The rotary dial functions perfectly and the disconnect buttons pop up and down. The leather feet are also in very good condition. It was designed by Henry Dreyfuss in that classic art deco style. I am selling it as is. I am not a phone expert so I do not know if it will work as is. I did not open it up. However. The original grey speckled paint is in good condition as seen in the pics provided and chrome stem is just as nice with little signs of use. The plate is 10" There are no chips. Cracks or crazing. The gold edging appears to be in very nice condition. There is slight staining on the back where a plate holder used to be. Most likely could be scrubbed off but I'm not going to try it. visible as the stain in the lettering. The front of the plate reads Hillsboro Centennial 1876-1976 Washington County Historical Society. The photo is of an old desk covered in vintage oil lamps, clocks, a phonograph and various odds and ends. The description on the rear of the plate reads'One of the many artifacts donated by Albert Tozier in the 1920's. He said it was used in the warehouse of John McLoughlin at Champoeg. Vintage perpetual date desk calendar. Souvenir of Florida. Estimated late 1950s early 1960s made in Japan. Depicts a Florida map with a palm tree, hibiscus blossom, alligator and a flamingo. The ashtray's dimensions is approximately 7 inches in diameter. This is back when everyone had an ashtray on their desk and it double as a name plate. This one was labeled for Anastasi. The ashtray has a gold globe look to it and as you depress the name plate it opens up to allow the ashes to drop into the bottom container. Vintage Tooled Leather Desk items? in vintage condition. Not sure what these are: the triangles maybe for a desk blotter? The other item is maybe a portfolio for papers or maybe it is the begining of a purse? I have no idea but they are really beautifully tooled. I do not know very much about leather tooling but they look hand tooled to me and I do believe these are older vintage. They have some surface conditions and could probably use some TLC. Vintage Polished Pewter Spur Horse Desk Top Pen Holder Ashtray Western Americana I'm still listing some new items from the closed down antique store sale. And at the first part of the month, we took two days off and shopped Ohio(with stops at my two Indiana Amish pickers' barns) at the World's Longest Yard Sale(Route 127) and then came home and made a quick trip to the flea market. I am so not kidding when I say there's something for everyone! It's back to school time, so I will be slowing down a little on my number of listings- I look at it as shooting for quality, not quantity, though! I always look for the unique for you! I have to say. I'm happy to say that we live in a world where ashtrays are becoming so much of a thing of the past that they are collectible(for the health of us all) but this one could not only ... morebe of interest to the ashtray collector- what the heck, use that"bowl" to hold your paperclips, or other desk smalls! It has two pan holders on either side of the ashtray, and a spur at the backside for decoration. The polised pewter has fancy scrolly decorations all over- like you'd see on horse tack, and it even has the image of a horse's head at the back behind the ashtray. It measures 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" at the base, and stands 5 1/2" tall at the spur. The ashtray measures 2 1/2" diameter across the round bowl only(not including the cigarette rests which are about 1/2" long. It weighs 1 1/2 lbs. You can see that the underside is uncovered, and you can see the screws and nuts from the mounting of the top pieces. The could use a little tightening- as you can make the ashtray rotate(but it's minor, and stands straight) as well as the spur move slightly if you force it- really, not necessary to tighten as you can't notice by looking at it, only if you force them. If you look at photos 13& 14, you can see that I'm pointing to a crew cap that is missing on the back left side- it's at the back, so hard to notice. You can

This is a great vintage collectible Rotary Dial Desk Phone in good working condition.Circa 1950-60's era. Beige in color, has good coiled handset cord and line for wall jack rotary dial connection. Ringer adjustment on bottom of phone, no dating stamped on this chassis, rubber footed, made by Bell Systems-Western Electric. As photo shows, minor crack on front corners of housing.
